The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

What's the plan?

"I don't know if it's alright for you to do this..."

His reached out hand halting mid-air, Ian tilted his head at the sudden phrase.

"Why wouldn't it be?"

"I mean...", one glance at the fire on the altar and another at the bluehead, then Felix scratched his cheek with a sigh. "I thought you were really about to die yesterday after the donation... Have you recovered?"

"Huh! This much is nothing to me."

"Your face is still as pale as a ghost-"

"Shut it!"

Right, the donation left a toll on his body, but a tiny bit of Aether like what this fire absorbs isn't much to him. Furthermore, a whole night has passed since he visited the confession room, so he had enough time to recover.

'More importantly, they found the documents I sent out, right?'
