The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

Fake Bible

Dragged out of the cell, Ian found himself in the lengthy and shady tunnel once again. Throughout the route, only the half-open door at the end of the path could be clearly seen, the magnificent light bleeding out of the gap too radiant to ignore in the dim underground.

Unlike how it seemed, the pathway wasn't that lengthy. He arrived at the entrance of the room soon enough and was pushed inside by the guards, left alone afterward.

Stepping in, Ian had to squint his eyes shut, his pupils burning from how intense the light was. The walls and the floor were all white and golden, reflecting the already intense lighting, and adding the the immense glow inside the room. With chandeliers dangling from above and decorated pillars soaring up, the confession room appeared as majestic as the imperial castle. The place screamed elegance, brimming with the glory of The Sun, bearing a holiness surprising to find in this dark damp underground prison.
