The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

Ice creams are better than cookies

The addition of someone labeled as a personal knight to his already large number of maids and guards wasn't in fact, something Ian would welcome.

Unlike the others, this one new guard followed him into his library, study, and even to his room. What about privacy? The crown prince went through so much trouble to persuade this delusional swordsman not to enter his private spaces.

As if it wasn't already hard to sneak out of his room, this little guard made things even worse.

"Your Highness, why did you come all the way here? What're you doing?"

And when he thought he'd managed to trick Kieran to successfully run away, the boy caught up to him right before he could sneak out of the mistress' palace.

"I... I came to a walk..."

He was midway through climbing down a wall.

"What's that you're eating?"

"N-nothing. I ain't eating anything!"

The half-bitten cookie was thrown to the ground.
