The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

Having a little chat

"Aren't you going to share with me the results of your investigation?"

"And how are you so sure I did any investigation?"

Staring at the man leaning on the sofa, Rosalyn folded her arms. He'd called for her the moment he woke up from his short nap, and she came almost rushing since she'd been waiting for it the whole day.

"Maybe I know your character well enough, just like how I know many other things."

He chuckled, shrugging his uninjured shoulder. He knew a lot, and he wasn't hiding it.

"So you knew about yesterday's conflict as well, I assume."

"Conflict? I can barely call it a short meeting."

"Is that so?"

A short meeting, then one side came out injured and bleeding, Rosalyn snorted.

"Are you suspicious of me?"

"Should I not be, mister bluehead?"

He was hiding his face the whole time, but Rosalyn had seen him before he started using his cloak, so she knew his features well enough.
