Late Night Meal

"What is going on here?" A bright and cheery voice which managed to sound aggrieved echoed from the doorway.

Raizel and Lyle turned to face Nathan who was in the doorway dressed in light blue sleeping wear. He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he squinted to look over the kitchen properly.

Raizel and Lyle. Midnight. Candlelight. Dinner.

"Am I interrupting something?" Seeing the glare that Lyle levelled him with. Nathan's sleepiness faded into pure mirth.

"Raizel, you finally decided to come back. Do you know how worried we were, Ren was? You need to stop upping and leaving whenever you feel like it. You need to tell us in advance." Nathan scolded a bit, before reducing his voice. "It would not be good for his mental health."

The 'he' did not need to be mentioned.

Raizel nodded. The recent events left him feeling out of sorts, not to mention he had no idea how to properly navigate this parents' stuff well.
