The Confrontation (1)

9 days after gathering the evidence, we 5 retainer with 4 other beast infiltrated the royal palace. Only Sam, Ethan and Jacob has physically infiltrated the royal palace while rest of us were hidden inside the [Dark dimension] a separate space created using Sam's ability.

Just like how 5th leader Abby had opened the rift, Jacob stood in front of the wall and broke the crystal containing the Mana signature of 5th leader Abby.

The mana broke out of the crystal to which Jacob guided toward the part of wall where a rune was engraved.

"It is right time to inform our forces outside the capital to start their operation." Jacob said and I sent the signal to Resistance and Sam forces to initiate their operation.

Soon the space started to fluctuate in front of us and a small rift opened. Immediately Sam hid Ethan and Jacob inside his [Dark dimension] and he also vanished into darkness.

When the rift opened 2 Dragon King stepped outside the rift, they were probably guard and looked around to see who has opened the rift but even before they could survey the surrounding a dark shadow enveloped both of them and they vanished from the sight.

Inside the [Dark dimension] 2nd retainer Agatha has cleanly dealt with 2 guards after which Jacob and Sam disguised themselves as guards and exiting the [Dark Dimension] and entered the rift.

The space inside the rift was same as what information we received from Ken and we could see a huge castle like building located in the far distance. The rift behind us closed once again and we were greeted with 6 more guards 2 of them in the realm of dragon monarch while rests of them were in the realm of dragon king.

"Who was it that opened the rift?" The tallest dragon monarch among the guard asked looking at Jacob.

"We have received signal from 5th leader Abby but there was no one outside." Immediately the expression of guard's face distorted but before they could do something all of them vanished inside the [Dark dimension] and within few seconds dealt by us.

Seeing that the guards here were all dragon monarchs and dragon king, one could deduce that king has something important to hide here. A dragon monarch was treated with utmost respect in the whole dragon realm yet here they were doing a guards duty.

After that everyone left the [Dark dimension] and separated into 4 teams as we have discussed before.

The 1st team would be a rescue team which will comprise of Ethan, Celine and Bran (A/N: The crow like beast who had ability of bad luck) whose only focus will be rescue. They will be accompanied by Agatha and Sam who will engage in fight with any opponent that stands in their way.

We have to complete our mission as soon as possible because the more time we waste the more lives will be lost.

I alone will go to disable the 1st teleportation blocking array while Jacob and 2 other beast will proceed to destroy the 2nd teleportation blocking array.

And as we were about to separate in different direction 3 golden lightning fell from sky indicating the arrival of 3 leaders in the direction Agatha's team was about to set off.

Abby's POV

Sitting on top of the northern tower I was looking in the distance waiting for the intruder whom king have mentioned before leaving on his raid.

It has been four and a half month since king has departed for raid but they haven't arrived yet. I guess the idea of attacking the capital must have terrified them, but if they are even 1% stubborn as that idiot guardian Alex then sooner or later they would attack the capital.

They must be trying to locate the entrance of the facility first but without guardian Alex's help they would need another thousand years to do so. Their best bet would be to attack the capital and make us spit the location of facility, which is even more impossible.

I wonder will she come too or stay hidden in that rat hole under the protection of that damned Guardian Alex, my one and only mistake, my daughter 'Agatha'.

Soon her attention shifted inside her space rune from where she retrieved an observation crystal.

It showed that recently the rift has been opened but my brows furrowed because without my permission not even 8th and 9th leader were allowed to open the rift.

On the other hand it was impossible to open the rift from inside which means something I hadn't expected has happened. As to confirm my hypothesis multiple lightning shot from the sky and the outside the wall of capital which was empty till now was filled with powerful aura of Dragons and beasts.

Only one thought came to my mind 'I have underestimated them' but it was not the time to think about that because if I fail to stop them from taking that dragon Emily today, I would be as good as dead.

"Captain behemoth." I called and a shadow materialized in front of me.

"Increase the security of all the arrays and eliminate all intruders, mobilize the inner and outer area dragons. We have some intruders inside the palace with whom we have to deal personally, until we return the command is in your hands." I said to him and handed him a golden token which signified his authority.

He was a shadow dragon monarch loyal to the royal family since the time immemorial. His strength was comparable to that of a leader or even surpassing most of the leader.

With the help of dragons inside the inner and outer wall we had the number advantage. Soon the reinforcement from nearby cities will also come therefore I was not worried about capital.

Soon the 8th and 9th leader came out of Royal palace and flew past me to face the forces outside the wall but I stopped them.

"Stop both of you, the facility has been infiltrated we need to go." Saying this I focused on the summoning circle I had imprinted inside the facility and both of them followed me without saying anything.

When we arrived inside the facility the atmosphere of rift was peaceful as always, but soon a psychic dragon came running toward us.

"Leader you have come at a right time, I was about to contact you." He said.

"Brief me what happened?" I asked.

"Just few second ago life sign of 8 guards vanished, someone has infiltrated the facility." He said, hearing that not much has happened I took a long breath of relief and turned in the direction where I was feeling many powerful presences and two of them very familiar.

"I know." I said but soon they scattered into 3 groups, 2 groups going in different direction and a larger group coming in my direction.

"What is in those directions?" I asked pointing east and west.

"Ohh in those directions, there are various protections and teleportation blocking array are engraved to protect the facility." He said.

So they are trying to secure their escape route from the start.

"Leader Orion you handle the intruders on the west and Leader jet you handle the intruder on the east, finish them as soon as possible and meet me here, I will deal with the intruders advancing here." I said and both the leader nodded and vanished from their places.

I too flew in the direction from where I had felt a familiar figure approach me; I don't know whether they were purposefully trying to draw me into a trap or were eager to fight me but it will be the last mistake of their pitiful life.
