Chapter 7

Episode 7: The Hour of Panic :

 Lilian, a girl from a very poor family, lived all day doing housework and herding sheep on the mountain slopes .

 Her father's job was to steal whenever he got the chance, and her mother's job was to go to the temple of the god Baal and the goddess Asherah and sit all day there and collecting donations .

 Since childhood Lillian suffered from loneliness, like not having her parents

 So she did not develop any good relationship with her father and mother .

 As an only child, Lillian received none of the loving care what she deserved .

 Mother's disfigured face abuse and father's beating continued on her made her arrogant and strong .

 Lilian once a tender girl, but it can't say for herself that neglected by her parents turned her into a strong-hearted woman .

 On the other hand, poverty and the neglecting of her parents have made Lilian suffer but could not break her .

 Lillian's great comfort was her grandmother, a warrior woman from a high and educated family of Amalekites .

 In a cruel twist of fate, the woman married Lilian's grandfather

 Lillian's grandfather was just like her father, irresponsible and dirty minded person .

 Even though grandfather was gone, grandmother kept her education and dignity

 And for this reason, everyone in the city of Gaadh respected her as a noble woman .

 Because Lillian was brought up exactly like her grandmother .

 She hates this life .

 Lillian doesn't know what her future is and where she is and her current journey .

 She has stepped into a world called unknown and unseen future, but she has a question, can she conquer that unknown and unseen future ?

 Silent night, no one anywhere. Some part of the top of the temple can be seen dimly in the distance area .

 The temple must have been on fire because even from this distance, Lillian could see the glow of the fire and black smoke billowing into the sky .

 Lillian wants this temple to be destroyed, let the idols of the dirty gods and goddesses of the temple turn into dust. 

Let all the pomp and dirty customs of the Hepoti temple made of gold be destroyed . She cursed it from her heart .

Lillian remembers , when she used to go herding sheeps on the hillside near their house, she would notice that the sheeps are tending to their little lambs.

 Sheeps are always grouped together. They have more humanity and sense of order than the average human.

 But when human beings sacrifice their own innocent children in front of hand-made idols, they don't even feel compassion on their own chind .

Inferior idolaters sacrifice their own innocent children to appease the lifeless idols they have made with their own hands.

 The gods are happy with this, Lilian has been seeing all these bad practices since she was a child .

she has never seen anyone benefit especially after child sacrifice or have any positive changes in their life, so how can they understand that child sacrifice After doing, are their gods and goddesses satisfied on them?

 Her nine-day-old innocent brother was similarly sacrificed to the God Baal .

 Lillian was also sacrificed to represent Baal and Asherah as a harlotry.

 Lilian's grandmother said to Lilian before she died, my dear Lilian, if something happens in your life that your parents want to dedicate you to worship in the temple , then you will try to save yourself from their abhorrent wish .

if necessary, you will run away from this city and go to the Jordan River. And try to take shelter in the coastal area.

 Because the people of that area are wise and benevolent.

 Lillian obeys her grandmother and vows in her heart that she will truly escape from this unholy city of Gaadh.

Seeing the flames burning in the distance, Lilian wished from her heart that all the pride of Hepoti Temple should be destroyed and burnt to ashes.

 Lillian crouches behind a large boulder, she is quite tired but alert because the enemy is following her and her doom is inevitable if she is not alert.

 Despite the stillness of the night, the sound of the leaves of the pomegranate orchard can be heard due to the blowing wind of the month of Abib.

 Beyond that sound, Lilian's ears hear another sound, the sound of someone's footsteps and that sound is coming from the pomegranate garden.

 As soon as Lillian heard the sound, she took cover behind the boulder and wanted to see whose footsteps it was.
