The Succubus Series

Mia was a normal girl wanting love. After dying in a tragic accident, she awakes to find that she's turned into something sinister and begins to find her power. "Lamia, are you seeing this shit?" I internally asked as my eyes grew wide. "Give me control NOW" she yelled. As soon as I released for her to take control, the car was hit again, sliding forward at a speed that felt like we were still driving. Lamia lifted B's torso so he didn't scrape the road as we moved and dug my knees into the steering wheel. Once we stopped, Lamia planted us on the ground where the window used to be and jumped. She had to have jumped 10 foot easily. She landed, digging our knee into the road and leaving a small crater. Following the string from the second hit, whatever hit us was in the sky. Looking up Lamia thought "Well thats not good. It's got wings." Lamia took a quick scan of the surroundings and saw we were nowhere. The only light that showed were the headlights from the car on its side. "Listen Lamia", "I hear it" the slow beat of wings rang through the night sky when suddenly they stopped and we heard a whooshing sound. I could hear Lamia internally counting the seconds when she jumped unexpectedly towards the car hitting something mid-air before it could hit the vehicle again. "What was that?" I asked feeling the wings form around our body as we connected. "Silent. Concentrating." was all she said in return. The body lay silent 30 feet from us in the road. Lamia locked on to it and took a fighting stance facing it and again started her countdown. "I think its dead" I thought but she ignored me. When she hit 1, the cracking noise started. She ran towards it as it flipped an arm and planted it in the road. Before it even had a chance to really get up, she kicked at it with a force I had never seen before. The creature spread it wings and was gone before she could hit it. She planted her feet sliding across the road before we stopped. "Gressil I know it's you!" she yelled at the sky. After receiving no response, she yelled again "Don't make me kill you! You know I can!". The flapping came closer and we looked up to see a disgusting figure hovering over us looking over at us curiously. It looked like his face and skin was melting off. "Drop the act." she calmly stated.

New arrivals

Stepping through the sheen, we arrived back in the marketplace. Making our way through the crowded walk B seemed anxious to get back to the Inn. He sped up his steps guiding us by our wrist. The strings overwhelmed me. I wondered what they all meant while they floated above us. Weaving around the corners and alleyways, we were back at the Inn within a few minutes. Looking at the door, I noticed the gold string speckled with red. I forced Lamia back, halting abruptly. B turning to look at me with an unimpressed face. "We can't go in there." I said fear coating my words. "And why not Mia?" B said, rolling his eyes. The door began to open and I ran to the corner we had just come from B following me questioning what I was doing. "Shhhhhh!" I said and pointed to my eyes and then around the corner. I placed myself flat on the stone wall we were leaning against. "What am I looking at?" B questioned at a whisper. "Just peek around" I whispered hurriedly back at him. B slumped his body and rolled his eyes walking over to peek around the corner. Leaning on the wall, he peeked around, quickly jerking himself back towards me and leaning as flat as possible against the wall. He held his finger up to his mouth  to motion to be quiet and it was my turn to roll my eyes. "You think it's him?" Lamia asked within my mind. "We both know that string Lamia. Of course it's him." I replied, trying to even our breaths. "How did he find us?" she asked. "Your guess is as good as mine." B went to take another peek scooting closer to the edge. Just as he peeked around, someone grabbed his collar and was gone screaming "Run!". I began to turn to get my footing to take off when something came over me. The same feral instinct blurring my vision and warming my hip. Lamia screamed in my head "Run you idiot! He said to run why are you standing there?! MOVE." Ignoring Mia, I turned on the balls of my feet walking towards the corner, something catching out of the corner of my eye on the wall. Turning to look at it, it looked like someone was shining a flashlight, a dull illumination cascading over the stone. Following from where it was coming from, I caught myself looking at my hip. You could see the emblem's swirls emitting a white blinding light. "Holy shit" Lamia huffed. "Lamia I need you to do the fighting. I don't know how." I replied. "I don't think we have anything to worry about." she replied excitedly. Rounding the corner, B was standing about a foot away from a man speaking with him. Dressed in a black suit with a red tie, the man looked over B's shoulder right at us. When I caught his face, time seemed to stand still as I memorized every inch of his face. He stood taller than B with a medium frame. His face outline with a square jaw leading into cheeks that matched. High cheekbones sat on either side of a carved nose leading up to two eyes the color of blood. His black hair faded into a long patch on top slicked back. B followed his gaze and it seemed like time had slowed down. A look of panic engrossed B's face and he began to run towards us putting his arms out as if to push us away. I stepped out of the way easily and to the side of B, seeing this perfectly made stranger reaching out to grab the back of B's jacket. I reached out and grabbed the man's wrist stopping him before he could touch B. His head slowly turned to look at me. "Why is everything going so slow." I asked Lamia. "I have no idea but this is SO COOL" she excitedly said back. The man was still turning his head and I was still holding his wrist. I lamented internally. "What do I now?" "Flip him!" Lamia retorted squealing with excitement. I flung my arm up quickly and the man went flying through the air. His eyes slowly grew wide as he went upwards slowly. I ran towards B who was still in the process of running towards where we initially stood and took off with him grabbing him around his stomach with one arm taking the brunt of his weight. I began rounding corner after corner until I saw a fly floating mid air, it's wings slowly beating. I looked at B and his arms now covered his face like he was preparing for an impact of some sort. His body illuminated dully by what I was sure was my face. "I think we're good Mia" Lamia said and I planted my feet. The illumination dulling away and time speeding back up. B looked up at me, his face paling and immediately began puking. I dropped him, landing him on his stomach and elbows right in his pile of vomit. He got up after a few moments with more shock written all over his face. He didn't say anything but began walking in a zombie-like trance. After a few minutes, he started getting color back in his face and his movements became more life-like. Holding his stomach, he finally spoke, "What the Fock was that?". "What was what?" I asked. "Mia, don't tell me you didn't know you could do that." B sulkingly replied. He sat down on a bench in the market and looking up I realized we had to be in the square. Hundreds of creatures crowded the small area and in the middle sat a large fountain I presumed. I could only see the top of it. "The lights Mia. It looked like little swirls of light.". I joined him on the bench, trying to wrap my head around what just happened. I let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding. "I saw he was going to hurt you B." I said, looking to the ground. "And? I told you to run." his face was serious. I shrugged my shoulders, "It's not the first time B and it won't be the last. You're my friend and if you think I'm just going to run away when you've risked your life to help me, you're sadly mistaken." I continued, leaning my hand on my fist, "So who was that?" I questioned. He laid back against the stone wall behind us and looked up, running his hands down his face, "Mia, that was Lucifer." "I kind of figured." I teased squinting my eyes at him. B looked at me and responded, "Let me guess his string?" I nodded yes to his question. "Well looks like we'll have to find somewhere else to stay.".

Lucifer POV:

"I had never expected to see a creature so beautiful and her reaction would be this" was my first thought before I smacked the wall. The stone met my body with anger and I knew I would regret this encounter later. I hadn't felt this invigorated since meeting Eve. I had heard the rumors but Lilith had put them to bed, or so I thought. Someone lied, I just don't know who. Coming to domtivir was not in my nature but when Beezlebub got word from one of his demons here that an angel had called a demon a human, I had to see for myself. I expected a weak, puny, human with face paint or a gungho satanist who had actually summoned one of us. What I did not imagine to see was a succubus with demon swirls glowing a bright light from them and their whole face lighting up. That caught me off guard. Her eyes were what were the true testament to her beauty. Beautiful voided black with two crescent moons of white light pouring from them. I had slid down the wall and not even realized that I was laying there in shock. I stood up and began brushing myself off my thoughts running wild, how did she do that? I wonder if she even knew what all she had just accomplished. I wondered exactly what she was. I bet father made her just to toy with me. He had always resented me. He also knew exactly what I found attractive in women and this creature was none of those things. I cannot believe she saw me and said not a word to me.She ignored me and moved quicker than I anticipated. No normal demon does that. I wonder if she was just a succubus like the rumors had said. I needed to get back to Hell and question Lilith immediately. She's the creator of that branch. She would know that she exists but I wonder if she knew just what her succubus was capable of. A spiteful little creature it looked like. I wonder what the likes of her were doing galavanting around with a lesser demon like that. I can't believe that twerp showed his marks. Was he trying to challenge me? The King of hell?! I would have made him dog food had that woman not intervened. She flipped me! I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I was still in place brushing myself off. Smoke billowing off my suit from where I had not been paying attention. "Dammit", I audibly said. Looking around, I had no idea where they went but I'm sure her little toy would tell her exactly who I was. I began walking through the alleys looking for a doorway out. I had to get back to hell. I had to question Lilith immediately and I had to find out just who this spiteful little succubus was.
