78 Kalan vs Jackie Chun

Both fighters were exhausted, Jackie Chun had exhausted his energy from launching a Full Power Kamehameha to destroy the moon. Goku was exhausted from his transformation into a great ape. But he was much stronger than he was in the past, and he had not had the time to rampage, thus he did not fall asleep upon reverting back to his human form.

Both were too tired to fire any energy attacks, so they proceeded with normal close combat. Jackie Chun won by a small margin due to his longer feet his attacks hit first and stronger.

"Hey old man, don't die yet. We haven't fought." Kalan said and walked up to Jackie Chun who was lying on the stage in exhaustion.

"I-I think I'll forfeit... I can't even stand up anymore..." Jackie Chun panted heavily.

"Don't worry, I'll patch you up." Kalan said and slapped Jackie Chun. He intended to heal Jackie Chun so they could fight the final round. Otherwise, Kalan would get a default win, which he did not like.

*Pa Pa Pa* Since he needed to touch his target for a few moments to heal them up, he continued slapping a few times until Jackie Chun was fully healed.

"You! Don't you have any respect for the old people?!" Jackie Chun yelled angrily and jumped up as if he was going to fight.

"Huh? I, I recovered?" Jackie noticed his body felt light and full of energy again and started inspecting his body.

"Y-You. You!" Jackie Chun pointed at Kalan in shock.

"Yeah, I patched you up." Kalan said dismissively.

"Do you always need to slap to heal others?" Jackie Chun asked curiously while rubbing his face which had a red hand print on.

"Nope, the slaps were extra service." Kalan winked and said playfully.

"..." Jackie Chun was speechless.

The announcer was amazed by Kalan's abilities yet again and excitedly shouted around. The audience were also amazed by Kalan's ability to heal others and fully restore their energy. Some even wondered if he was really was human.

The final match begun.

*You're Kami-sama, am I right?* Jackie Chun spoke telapathically. Master Roshi seemed to be able to use telepathy as well. After seeing Kalan perform miracle after miracle, it was hard for him not to believe Kalan was actually Kami-sama. He had lived several hundred years and his sister, Fortune Teller Baba had a high status in the Other World. It wouldn't be weird for him to have an understanding of Earth's guardian.

*Old man, did you turn senile?* Kalan rolled his eyes and replied.

*You really aren't Kami-sama? How can you repair the temple in a flash, and also heal others?* Jackie Chun asked stunned.

*Old man, if you've gone crazy, don't pull others down with you. Do you really think Kami would participate in WMA?* Kalan rolled his eyes.

*Ah... That's true.* Jackie Chun also believed Kami-sama would not possibly deign to participate in mortal's tournaments.

The crowd looked confusedly at the two standing still doing nothing except having their facial expressions change a several times. Finally Jackie Chun was willing to fight. Kalan lowered his Ki to match Jackie's Ki level.

Kalan and Jackie Chun threw barrages of kicks and punches at each other. Due to Kalan lowering his Ki level to match Jackie's Kalan was naturally the one on the disadvantage, as he lacked battle experiences. But Kalan's body was much more durable as a Saiyan and due to the gravity training. Kalan continuously endured blow after blow and tried his hardest to improve his fighting techniques.

The fight continued for 10 minutes before Kalan was able to evenly match Jackie Chun. All of Kalan's stats was beyond Master Roshi's, be it in Ki Control, Ki Sense, Spirit or talent. As such he had a much easier time learning and improving his techniques.

The fight continued for another 5 minutes before Jackie Chun jumped back to create some distance.

"Your body is too hard!" Jackie Chun cried out in exasperation. Even though Kalan had matched his Ki level, he was still on the losing end. His hands and legs were aching from attacking Kalan's hard body.

"I'll end it with my Kamehameha!" Jackie Chun shouted and prepared to launch a Kamehameha.

"Old man, even on the same Ki level, my Ki Control is much better than yours." Kalan sneered and also prepared to fire a Kamehameha.

"Ka... Me... Ha... Me..." Both of them charged their energy. But Kalan had much finer Ki control so his Kamehameha spun much faster and compressed the energy more than Jackie's.

"Full Power Kamehameha!" Jackie Chun had a serious look and fired his strongest Kamehameha at Kalan.

"Haaaa!!!" Kalan fired his Kamehameha at the incoming blue beam.

*Boooom* Kalan's Kamehameha overwhelmed Jackie's and continued flying up the sky before it suddenly exploded. A loud explosion was heard as a strong shockwave blasted out and affected everyone nearby.

"I-If that had hit me..." Jackie Chun looked at the explosion and had cold sweat. If Kalan had not steered his Kamehameha upward, it would have hit him.

The audience looked in shock at the slowly disappearing explosion in the sky. The announcer excitedly commented how strong Kalan's Kamehameha was, maybe it had even surpassed Master Roshi's who invented the Kamehameha. Unfortunately they had not seen Master Roshi in many years. But most surprising was that he is still alive even after living for several hundred years.

"Try my Thunder Shock Surprise!" Jackie Chun upon seeing Kalan not pay attention to him, sneak attacked with lightning.

*Bzzt Bzzt* The lightning current struck Kalan.

"What!?" Jackie Chun saw Kalan stand calmly in the lightning current unflustered. In fact, he wasn't even able to lift Kalan up.

"This is quite uncomfortable..." Kalan commented, the lightning wasn't pure and he felt uncomfortable mostly due to the badly converted lightning as Ki was dotting the current.

"System record this technique." Kalan ordered, he did not have any lightning skills to use, so analyzing Thunder Shock Surprise would help him in developing new lightning techniques.

[Beep! Thunder Shock Technique recorded!]

Kalan waved his hand and dissipated the lightning current. He did not use brute force, but rather used his high lightning affinity to break the current.

Jackie Chun was already exhausted from the Full Power Kamehameha. His Thunder Shock Surprise drained the last of his Ki. Jackie Chun fell down on his back in exhaustion, Kalan was then announced as the champion as well as the 2 times champion.

Unlike last WMA where Kalan had swept through the tournament with a wave of his hand, this tournament was much more exciting, there were many strong fighter battling intensely. The crowd cheered loudly, this fight was the most exciting one they had seen. The high speed battle that their eyes could not capture, the Kamehameha. And being the 2 times champion, the crowd were excited beyond words to describe.

The announcer excitedly announced Kalan as the champion and gave him the 500,000 Zeni prize money. He also announced that the next WMA tournament would be in 3 years instead of 5, since WMA had gotten much more popular it will be held more often.

"Kalan! I knew you would win!" Bulma shouted happily and hugged Kalan.

The rest of his friends come over and congratulated his two times championship.

Kalan shamelessly advertised his dojo again, he hoped to quickly expand his dojo and have it running on its own and spreading martial arts knowledge over the world while also worshiping him. His dojo members were especially excited seeing Kalan win the championship. They felt proud of being members of his dojo. Quite a few martial artist came over to join Kalan's dojo, Ranfan was one of them.
