The Price To Feed Two Saiyans

Master Roshi had removed his disguise and came back to the group. He praised his students and invited the group to have dinner at a restaurant. Kalan had his dojo members go back first, only Nam and Ranfan followed the group to the restaurant. The perverted old man was more than happy to invite the cute girl Ranfan to eat with them.

"The old man has lived with Goku for several months already. How would he dare to invite both of us Saiyans to a meal...?" Kalan thought amused. Master Roshi might believe he was treating the group to a meal of 60-80,000 Zeni. But in the story, With Goku eating enough for 50 people. The bill was 470,000 Zeni. Master Roshi was only able to pay the bill due to him winning the WMA. But this time he didn't. Not to mention he was treating to two Saiyans. It was hard to imagine how he was going to afford the bill.

The group consisted of Kalan, Nam, Ranfan, Bulma, Master Roshi, Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Puar and Oolong. A total of 10 people. Kalan knew that the restaurant would run out of ingredients after serving Goku 50 people's worth of meals. So Kalan kindly told the manager to restock the ingredients before they ran out.

The whole group stared at Kalan and Goku as they swept the tables and stacked a plates and bowls up to the roof. Kalan ate over 60 people's worth of meals while Goku ate 55 people's worth of meals. Then the two of them took their time and ate another 5-10 plates of dessert.

"Yo-You want me to be your cook!? I'll die from overwork, you know!?" Ranfan yelled angrily after seeing Kalan eat so much.

"Luckily my family has maid droids..." Bulma heaved a sigh in relief upon thinking of the maid droids at her home.

"What are you two, monsters?" Master Roshi regretted treating these two to a meal. He could already imagine the large bill.

"Well... I'll let you in on a secret to our bottomless stomach. It's not bottomless, but it's as big as when we transforms into great apes." Kalan kindly explained how Saiyans could possibly eat so much. In truth, he had no idea where the food went, but he believed it was related to their large bodies as great apes.

"Oh, dear god..." Master Roshi fainted.

"Hey... Can I back out...?" Ranfan said. She was already regretting joining Kalan's dojo.

"You like money right? Here." Kalan said and threw the prize money to her.

"Oh, on second thought, it's my pleasure to serve you, dojo master!" Ranfan happily received the 500,000 Zeni, her attitude did a 180 degree turn.

"K-Kalan don't you think you should use that money to help me pay the bills...?" Master Roshi asked weakly.

"No way, old man! It's already mine!" Ranfan hurriedly refused.

"Well, it's not my money anymore." Kalan shrugged his shoulders.

"You just gave away half a million zeni just like that?!" Yamcha shouted shocked.

"Don't fret about it, it's just worth a meal either way." Kalan glossed over it. Money had never been a problem to him.

"Kalan I don't like that girl! I can get you some maid droids to help cook your meals." Bulma said while staring angrily at Ranfan.

"That would also work. Why did I not think of that." Kalan slapped his head.

"They can be turned into capsules right? That will come in handy." Kalan asked.

"Of course! My dad invented them!" Bulma said proudly.

Due to Bulma's intervention, Ranfan wasn't able to keep the half million Zeni and had no choice but to hand it back to Kalan. But in return she was promoted from a mere cook to a normal dojo member.

Kalan and Goku finished eating, so Master Roshi went to pay the bills. The total was a shocking 965,000 Zeni. Even after emptying his pockets, Master Roshi only managed to pull out 70,000 Zeni. He looked awkwardly at the group.

"Old man, you need to borrow money?" Kalan asked Master Roshi in a tone that sounded he had nothing to do with the awkward situation he was in.

"Yes, please let me borrow your prize money... I'll pay you back next time." Master Roshi said helplessly.

"Here. You can have it, but I don't need the money back. Instead you'll owe me a favor." Kalan said 'kindly'.

"Thank you..." Master Roshi helplessly thanked Kalan. He would not be in such a situation if not for these two food devouring monsters.

"I can give you another 500,000 Zeni for another favor." Kalan said 'kindly'

"Really? That would be great!" Master Roshi heaved a sigh in relief upon finding a solution to his tight situation. But little did he know what he was getting into, the promised 2 favors would be the devil's pact.

Kalan pulled out another 500,000 Zeni worth of bills out of nowhere and gave it to Master Roshi. In return Master Roshi now owed Kalan 2 favors.

The group bid farewell and went their separate ways. Goku flew away on his cloud in search of the dragon balls. He wanted to find his grandpa's dragon ball. Kalan decided to quickly help Nam's village solve their drought, since he planned to leave the dojo and tour the world. By solving Nam's village's drought, Nam will be able to instruct without worries anymore. So Kalan and Nam called their clouds, Nam had received one after clearing Korin Tower. Kalan naturally held Bulma and Nam blushed while carrying Ranfan. Kalan didn't even need to test to know that Ranfan wasn't able to sit on the cloud. The group of four flew to the desert in the far southwest. Since Yamcha couldn't ride the clouds, he headed to Kalan's dojo.

After reaching Nam's Village, Nam went and explained that Kalan had come to solve their drought. The whole village cheered and quickly went down on their knees to devoutly pray to Kalan.

Kalan knew that the river would dry up again even if the water flowed through it. So he materialized a metal layer over the river bottom all the way to the dam in Giran's Village. Kalan also made a pond with a metal layer covering the bottom to make sure no water would escape, he then had the river branch out to the pond. Finishing his work, he brought the group to Giran's Village and blow up the blockade over the dam. The water flowed down the dam to the river. Nam watched excitedly as the water flowed through the river and continued to Nam's Village.

Kalan also visited Giran's Village and warned them to not block the dam again. The group then returned to Nam's Village and was greeted by the villagers kowtowing with great gratitude. Nam bowed deeply and sincerely thanked Kalan for solving the drought in his village. Kalan also told Nam that if they Giras blocked the dam again, he could simply fly over and destroy the blockage, but he shouldn't show mercy to them again if they continues to block the dam. Since their actions was the same as to kill Nam's village.
