Chapter 4 – I Want To Beg For Food

"Are you sure you don't want to follow us back to the estate? I promise that you'll be given the best treatment possible in Cloud City." 

Right now, at the back of a moving car, Liu Mei was urging Li Jiahao who was seated beside herself and her aunty. 

"That's right, Master Li. Given that this is your first time in Cloud City, we promise you that will show you everything you want to know and explain everything that needs explaining to you. Lastly, we wouldn't have peace of mind again unless we thank you for saving our lives when all hope was already lost." 

Liu Mei's aunty, whose name was Liu Bi said, her eyes filled to the brim with gratitude and appreciation. However, Li Jiahao continued to shake his head. 

"I'm sorry, I really can't follow you guys. As for saving you, I only did it because one, it was convenient for me, two, I couldn't find the way to Cloud City and that was the only place I could sense human being." 

"Ma…" 

Liu Mei still didn't want to give up, but a gaze from her aunty forced her to shut her mouth before releasing a helpless sigh. 

It wasn't that she couldn't bear to let Li Jiahao go, it was just that the help he had done for them was too massive beyond what a single thank you could do. 

She understood that what they owed Li Jiahao was their lives, especially hers. 

Li Jiahao hadn't only saved her from her agony, he had saved her from an entire lifetime of hell. 

"If you say so," Liu Mei sighed and decided to give in. 

It was only now that Li Jiahao who was already feeling uncomfortable let out an inaudible sigh, then he gazed appreciatively at the mature woman, Liu Bi. 

"You guys should not forget, you can drop me off at the entrance of the city, I will find my way by myself, he reminded the ladies, making them nod their heads helplessly, knowing that Li Jiahao was hell-bent on leaving. 

No sooner had they nodded their heads did the ladies realize that they had already gotten to the entrance of Cloud City after hours of driving. 

"We are here." 

Liu Mei said and then informed the driver to park the car. 

"Oh…" 

Li Jiahao sounded and glanced out of the car, through the window. 

"I will get down, then." He said and quickly alighted, unable to wait to run as far away as he could from the lady whom Li Jiahao had deemed scary. 

"Thanks for the ride," Li Jiahao said and turned around. 

He was about to walk away when the lady, whose beauty could compare to his sisters called out to him and made him stop with a helpless sigh. 

"Although I know that you had only helped us because it was convenient for you, I'd still like to show my appreciation in any way at all, so…" Liu Mei suddenly picked up a pen and paper from the car's dashboard and scribbled on it for a moment before passing the piece of paper to Li Jiahao. "That's my address. Please make sure you visit if you ever need something done in Cloud City." 

Li Jiahao, "_" 

'This lady. Is there some evil deed she's planning on doing to me in her house which was why she insisted that I come visit?' He thought before helplessly accepting the paper. 

"Thank you," Liu Mei said before waving Li Jiahao goodbye and shutting the door. 

Although she could tell that Li Jiahao had only accepted the paper for formality's sake and would definitely not come, her hope still rose slightly that he had still accepted it after all. 

Gazing at her nephew, Liu Bi couldn't help but sigh and shake her head pitifully. 'Is this the love gotten from saving the beauty in distress?' 

She continued studying the sad demeanor that had covered Liu Mei and realized that her thought seemed to be true, however, this didn't make her happy at all. 

Liu Bi couldn't help but turn her head to study Li Jiahao who was now strolling casually as though he was in his backyard in his rough and utterly faded clothes which was a result of too much washing, then she sighed again. 

'A mere glance at him would give someone the sense that he is nothing but a savage, a deeper look however, and knowing him would let someone know that he is in fact an immortal in this mortal world who was beyond wealth and power.' 

Thinking this, Liu Bi looked at her nephew. 'In contrast, a mere look at you would give someone a sense of a daughter of a wealthy and powerful clan who has it all, however, a deeper study would make one realize that that wasn't the case.' 

Liu Bi suddenly felt a headache coming, wondering if it would ever be possible for someone like the two of them, who were from two different worlds to get together. 

"I had thought it was over for me and I have even prayed for death rather than the deep agony I felt." 

Liu Mei suddenly mumbled, making Liu Bi return to her senses, then she nodded her head, as she had also felt the same feeling.

'So, this is the place called a city, it is really several times bigger and beautiful than the ugly mountain.' 

Turning his head around while walking unhurriedly, Li Jiahao thought 

'Although the cultivation energy here was so poor, making it a cursed land for cultivators, a simple formation would change it.' 

Although Li Jiahao's steps were unhurried and only small, the distance he was able to cover with each step was surprisingly wide. 

However, since everybody there was mere mortals who had never heard about cultivations in their lives before, they failed to notice anything out of the norm. 

After appreciating everything he could for a long time, Li Jiahao finally decided to plan what to do next. 

'It would have been better if I knew those bastards who murdered my parents and destroyed my childhood, making me have no memories of my parents so that I can revenge my parents, but since I have no idea about them, I should search for fourth sister first. Didn't Master say she's in this city?' 

Thinking about his fourth sister, Li Jiahao's eyes suddenly brightened and he felt his blood pump with excitement for some unknown reason. 

'It's been five years already, I don't know if the fourth sister would still be aggressive as she always is and if she would still always bully me.' 

Recalling his fierce elder sister who even though she loved bullying him so much had a massive love for him, Li Jiahao's heart melted. 

'Time to go search for her.' 

With this resolve made, although Li Jiahao didn't know where to begin his search as he had ignorantly refused to collect her address from his master, thinking that it wouldn't be difficult at all to find her, Li Jiahao still felt excited. 

"I should…" 

Li Jiahao suddenly stopped in his tracks, making a middle-aged man knock into him. 

"Watch where you are going, you brat!" 

The middle-aged man growls at Li Jiahao before storming away, but Li Jiahao doesn't hear him. 

No, he didn't even notice that he'd make someone knock into himself. 

"Such an aromatic smell. Where was that?" 

As though he were a dog, Li Jiahao began to sniff hard before finally, his eyes brightened. 

'Master always said that the food down the mountain was so delicious compared to the ones above the mountain, looks like he didn't lie.' 

Li Jiahao almost drooled. 

Without another moment of hesitation, he rushed toward the direction of the aroma. 

The distance between Li Jiahao from the place was surprisingly almost the size of three football fields. 

Not having the definition of far in his dictionary at all, Li Jiahao soon got to the restaurant, a Michelin-starred restaurant. 

'Wow!' 

'Wow!!' 

Without even entering it yet, the glow in Li Jiahao's eyes began to brighten. 

His gaze however returned to the present when he wanted to enter but felt the presence of someone barring his way. 

"Brother, please could you leave the way, I want to beg for food." 

"Huh?" 

In an instant, blank gazes were directed to Li Jiahao as his voice hadn't been low at all. 

…. 

"Who did my son like this? I'm so going to give that person and his entire generation the worst death available in this world!!! Boohoo! My little Han!!!"
