Chapter 3 – Capturing Bullets

"You could have sought life by simply walking away, but no, you did not." 

Glaring fiercely at the handsome young man of the same age as him, who was dressed like a savage and had dared to interrupt his enjoyable time, Huang Han growled with killing intent. 

He didn't even bother to contemplate what other human being besides themselves was doing in a place like this. 

It must be known that Huang Han had taken his time to strategize all this before executing the plan, and he had ensured that the location used was going to be a place where no one would see him. 

Although he wasn't scared of the Liu clan, as his clan was significantly more powerful than it, he didn't want any trouble for himself. 

Now that someone had seen him, besides being furious that he had interrupted his pleasure, Huang Han's killing intent was due to being seen. 

"What are you guys waiting for? Kill this shit for me already." 

Liu Mei's eyes constricted as soon as she heard this. 

She had felt her already dead hope revive when she saw the handsome man who had suddenly appeared from nowhere, and she had ignorantly thought that Huang Han would flee from fear. 

She had wanted to cry for help, but now that she heard the order given by Huang Han again, Mei's hope dashed, and she became lifeless inside. 

However, she wasn't about to add another person to her misfortune like she'd already done to her favorite aunt. 

For this reason, although the more she speaks, the more agonized she becomes, and the more she feels that death is better than this suffering, she is still forced out. 

"Escape! Please escape now!" 

She cried out, causing Li Jiahao, who currently had a playful look on his face after hearing Huang Han's words, to glance at her. 

"What a pitiful girl," Li Jiahao thought while shaking his head. 

He couldn't help but sigh, recalling one of his master's unending advice. 

'Down the mountain is indeed a place filled with all sorts of evil. See, I haven't even completely left the perimeter of the mountain, and I've already met such an encounter.' He sighed, recalling how peaceful and filled with love the mountain was if not for the likes of the Ghost Granny and a few others. 

Suddenly, a thought crossed Li Jiahao's mind, and goosebumps crawled across his skin. 'Is this what I will experience each day from now on? No wonder master didn't allow any of us to leave the mountain until we reached the Nascent Soul Realm.' 

Thinking this, Li Jiahao suddenly had the urge to return, but recalling that one of the reasons he had been longing to go down the mountain all these years was to get revenge for his parents who had been killed when he was very young and made him thrown into the street when he was barely one, which made his master bring him to the mountain, the urge disappeared. 

"Rascal, are you not scared?" 

The leader of the group of five couldn't help but ask when he saw the look on Li Jiahao's face despite hearing that he was going to be killed. 

Huang Han was also curious, as well as furious. 

It must be known that the expression he enjoyed seeing on people's faces the most was hopelessness and agony, especially people he didn't like, but Li Jiahao did not have any, which was the first for Huang Han. 

"You're talking to me?" Li Jiahao returned to his senses and asked, pointing at his chest. 

"Certainly, it is you, you punk!" One of the subordinates responded on behalf of his leader while also glaring at Li Jiahao. 

"Oh…" Li Jiahao sounded, then he thought seriously for a moment about the best way to respond to the question. 

"Well, would a frog be scared of a fly?" 

"Huh?" Everybody, "_" Even Mei and her aunty, "_" 

'Who is the frog, and who is the fly?' Everybody thought subconsciously. 

Seeing the expressions on their faces, Li Jiahao smacked himself on the face as though he suddenly recalled something. "I've forgotten that my IQ is very high, and you guys with low IQ wouldn't understand my intelligence," Li Jiahao mumbled to himself, making everybody go blank again for a moment. 

Following this, Huang Han became so furious that he completely forgot about the woman who was still trying her best to get out of the restraints she was in. 

"Bastard, who was the person with a lower IQ?" 

Li Jiahao, "_" 

"Who is the bastard?" He suddenly studied his area seriously as though he was searching for someone, making the anger of Huang Han and his group reach another high level again. 

"Curse it! I'm so going to give you a torturous death!" Huang Han screamed, his eyes turning red. 

This was the first time anyone had played him to this extent ever since he was born. 

He felt like gouging Li Jiahao's eyes out and giving him the worst death ever. 

Huang Hao was grinding his teeth together when his eyes furrowed. He then felt as though he had been the greatest joke in the world. 

"Why are you two laughing?" 

His eyes shot out killing intent at the ladies, but as though they couldn't feel it, they continued laughing hysterically as though they'd gone crazy. 

Their laughter was due to one reason, seeing Huang Hao completely frustrated. 

Although it didn't carry away their soon-to-come doom, a win is still a win. 

"Bastard! This was your fault! You made me a great joke!" 

Huang Han suddenly pulled out a pistol from his pants and then before anybody could react, he pulled the trigger at Li Jiahao's face. 

The ladies were immediately scared to death. However, before they or anybody could react, all faces went blank, and then all eyes widened. 

"Did… did that punk just catch the bullet?" 

One of the men holding a gun suddenly asked with shock. 

This instantly made everybody realize that they hadn't seen wrong, causing their hearts to skip a bit in their chest. 

Huang Han's countenance paled, but he refused to accept that there was someone in this world capable of stopping a bullet other than his ancestor, and that, it was a young man who was his age or possibly younger than him. 

"I don't believe this!" He screamed like someone going insane, then he rained a barrage of shots at Li Jiahao. 

However, Li Jiahao, who was just done studying the little metal in his hand, widened his eyes. 

"Is this thing what you call a bullet? Should I not have been able to catch it?" 

He asked and then with a speed so fast that nobody could comprehend or see, he caught all the bullets. 

"This…" The eyes of the five men changed swiftly while Liu Mei felt as though she was seeing a ghost. 

She couldn't even react again. 

However, Huang Han, who was also scared, felt as though his authority had just been challenged. 

"Curse it, shoot this rascal together. I refuse to believe that he is really invisible!" 

"I…" The group of five exchanged fearful gazes. 

They immediately wanted to escape, but recalling Huang Han's identity and how scary he was, they swallowed hard, and then they all pointed their guns at Li Jiahao and began to fire wildly. 

"Ratatatata!" The sound of crazy gunshots soon filled the area, scaring all the animals in the vicinity running. 

"This bastard is now dodging the bullets; I think he couldn't handle the gunshot again, fire more!" 

Huang Han roared ferociously while his eyes began to brighten with excitement. 

His excitement, however, soon gave way to blankness in the next moment, and then he became utterly pale, as though he had never had any blood in his body before. 

"He… he has just made all the bu… bullets suspend before him?" one of the five men mumbled nervously. 

The guy was about to drop his gun and flee when suddenly, the tens of bullets lining up respectfully before Li Jiahao turned around, then as though they had eyes, they rushed wildly to Huang Han and the five men. 

Without any resistance, the bullets pierced into the bodies of the five men. 

As for Huang Han, who already felt that he was going to faint from fear, he hurriedly crushed an item that he had taken out since who knows when, then a glow covered him in the blink of an eye and he disappeared. 

However, before he left completely, two bullets hit his eyes, and two hit him in the middle of the legs. 

"Wow! Such a weak weapon was this potent?" 

As though he had just discovered the most disbelieving thing in the world, Li Jiahao mumbled to himself, seeing the five figures now lying dead on the floor. 

'How great would it be if such a weapon was available for cultivators,' he thought and shook his head, just in time when Liu Mei, whose willpower couldn't hold anymore, was about to faint. 

Li Jiahao flashed to her side in the blink of an eye, then he sighed. 

"You'd have undoubtedly died if you hadn't met me, given how potent this poison was and how deep it had already consumed your body," he mumbled and crouched before Liu Mei, whose consciousness had turned hazy.
