Chapter 8 System Introduction and learning his power can grow

As we leave the room the marines standing out side notice us and salute before heading to inform the ships Captain I was awake the other asked if I wanted to take my armour off which I refused " understood sir also I have been asked to show you to your quarters" I just nod and motion for him to lead the way Alice still follows me the whole distance to my quarters like she does every time we are on a new ship luckily for her my team are sharing a common room meaning there's a main room and personal rooms for each of us. Once we arrive I am recive a nod from both Victor and Philip but Jess just signs in relief since if I was out for the count it would be her job to command the team which she does well but she is not so good with spontaneous problems so she prefers not to command the team the others well due to the emotional imbalance caused by their powers it's not a good idea for them to command.

After our little greet I excuse myself to my personal room in order to check what the system I have is about and what it does since I have not had the time to see it yet. Once I close my door " Destiny how does this system work how do I you know use it you never said after the activation mission it gave me was complete" asking Destiny this is important since she is normally direct with everything and keeps me informed about what's going on[ I did not mention it because we were still on mission and the UNSC were monitoring our communication and vitals for any changes since the systems purpose is to make you stronger it would have revealed itself which would be bad so I delayed it's activation it's the reason you lost consciousness after using your ability I thought it would give an excuse for why you were out for so long] now I understand why Destiny told me to tell my team I would be unconscious it acts as the perfect cover" good thinking Destinu so does this mean i have access to the system now" i waot for hee reply [ yes you do to see you stats you just think about seeing you stats same applies to the other functions such a the shop and inventory but at the moment the items in the shop are only limited to the tier zero as well as tier one items and abilities. Your inventory can hold 20 different items each slot only holds 100 of any item there are other functions but they are not available to you at this moment as you grow they will unlock] well with Destinys introduction to the system I decide to try it out by checking my stats

Intelligence: 35( note normal humans would be 10 and genius would at 15 someone of Einsteins intelligence would be about 18)

Wisdom: 28( note normal humans would be 10 at best would be 15)

Energy:1000(this determines how long he can use his powers as it takes energy to use it it also determines the teir someone is)

Tier: 1(note the tier determines how power full an individual is)

Abilities: Dark Matter Manipulation(select to open skill tree)

Skills: Dark Matter absorption, Dark Matter Control, Dark Matter Coating

Divine Points: 1000

Surprisingly the system is using my helmets display to show all this which is kind of better than it just appearing in thin air but I like that it shows information on what normal humans would have and it hid the actual name of this body is it because the original abandoned the name after he was put into the Spartan program than later the Oblivion program oh well I should check the inventory since there's usually a welcome gift or something like that. Although after the inventory screen show I could see it was empty well at least that explains why I got so many points for the activation mission from the system guess it wants me to choose what I want instead of forcing me to use what it gives me.

With that thought I decide to have a look in the Shop to see if there is anything I want

As I look at the many different section I decide that it's best to choose an ability since it's easier to explain to the others

There's more on the list but only three that I can afford and I was not expecting to see my teammates abilities on here before I finish my thought [Not exactly these are basic abilities they have no room for growth like that of your teammates this is because an individual can only possess one growth ability that can eventually evolve into the Divinity that god's have] with that comment I think i understandbthe system abit better so even if i get other powers they will neverbhave the same possibilities as my original one I suppose that means just relying on the shop to get abilities is not the route I want to take.
