Chapter 5 Making our way to the Central Plaza

Taking the exit opposite of the way Master Chief was going myself and my team head into the narrow passage thanks to the marines who brought the warthog we had restocked our ammo and got ready to face more covenant threats surprisingly no hostiles appear on our helmets radar so we just continue one before coming to an exit to the outside world again" right now we are outside again we should check how far we have to go so lets stop for now" after hearing my orders my team stops and looks around while i get Destiny to check our location compared to our objective[ Dark acording to the data in the UNSC database there about 7 streets before we reach the objective and acording to the data it takes us directly under the covenant ship acording to my calculations if they decide to enter slipspace than we would be pulled in] listening to what she said I knew what was going to happen the ship will jump it's an important event that happens in the game so now I am struggling if I follow orders myself and my team will be pulled into slipspace and could ether end up dead or seriously injured Destiny is already knows what I know since she has access to my mind so I ask" Destiny what are the our odds of surviving slipspace" [ the odds are bad however if you disperse your dark matter to surround you all you would create a bubble similar to what the UNSC does for it's ships but it will deplete your energy rapidly and currently your energy can only sustain such a thing for a few seconds before it fails] i listen and begin to think a few seconds should be enough but will leave me powerless after arrival but I will be in space I would recover rapidly but my team mates can only last in space for a few hours thanks to there powers but getting safely to a oxygen environment will be difficult" guys I got good news and bad new first off there's only 7 streets to the objective but it's directly under the covenant ship if they decide to go to slipstream we will be pulled in" they look at me before Philip decides to speak" so this mission is a suicide one right because there's no way the covenant are just gonna let the profit of regret get captured there gonna go to slipspace" the rest of my team sigh realising he is right" not exactly acording to Destiny my powers can protect us just that it will deplete me fast I can only do so for a few seconds before exhausting my energy but should be enough however I will be weakened after until I replenish my energy which if we arrive in space should only take 30 minutes if not in space than it would take 24 hours which means it will be on you guys to get us to safety" they look at me and give me a nod i know that they have decided to continue the mission probable not wanting to break our 100% success record with that we brace ourselves for whats to come.

As we make our way through the first street we see a large group of grunts and elites patroling the street so I ready my smgs for a firefight as do my teammates as they need to preserve their energy incase we end up being sucked into slipspace by the covenant ship since I myself will have exhausted mine to keep us safe and worst case I will lose consciousness best case I will be weakened. We approach the grunts and elites to get in firing range of our guns but one of the elites notices us and call to his comrades and they begin shooting at us not wanting to be sitting ducks we sprint towards them to get in range and open fire but as we do one of the elites throws his plasma rifle to the side and takes a small horizontal pipe from his waist before activating it. Victor looks at the elites new weapon and charges at him the elite did not have time to react before Victor had punched the elite in the chest and sent him flying. The elite even droped his weapon from the impact "I will be taking this" Victor spoke while picking up the energy sword from the ground the rest of us however we're to busy shooting the other elites to care that Victor had found a new toy and continued to kill grunts and elites.

With the help of Victor's new energy sword the remaining grunts were taken care of with relative ease " well that took longer than expected we need to pick up the pace" the other just look at me and nod and we continue onward. The second street had even more elites and grunts to deal with meaning we were using more ammo which is depleting our reserves and if it continues by the time we reach the central plaza we will be out of ammo and as we continue to move through the third and fourth street it appears this assumption will be true" we need more ammo or we need to start using the covenant's weapons in order to reserve our ammo supply for our preferred weapons" the other just shrug before picking up the weapons of the nearest dead elite we all got an energy sword and a plasma rifle from the dead elites and continued on to the sixth street.

A/N that's it for this chapter I know the first paragraph is really long but I was debating weather to extend this so that there's detail on what happens on each street but that would take longer and I want to finish this segment so I can get into more detail about how the system will effect things.
