Chapter 33 Moving Through the Key Ship and Confrontation with Truth

Meanwhile as the battle was going on a pelican has landed on one of the four entrances of the key ship and 3 Clone Spartans walk down the rear ramp while being vigilant of their surroundings.

Clone Spartan 001's Pov

As me and my team walk down the ramp with our assault rifles ready to fire if any hostiles make an appearance " clear captain" I look at 003 after he speaks and nod as he sees this he lowers his gun and takes a small flat cycler device and presses a button from the middle of the device a holographic man appears " Infiltration AI A3G6 reporting" it salutes to the Spartans.

After the AI is revealed 003 walks over to the nearest terminal and places the small device on to the terminal and the AI begins to work quickly disabling everything on the ship and opening the access point into the ship for both the entrance the clone spartans are at and the one where Master Chief is while also locking the Prophet out of the ships controls.

After it finishes the holographic man nods and 003 takes the small device pressing the button causing the A3G6 to disappear once it's gone 003 takes the chip in the side and puts it into his helmet thus removing the AI from the device and all the information it has and putting it into his helmet so we have access to a map the AI remains on the chip and can offer guidance if needed.

After all that's done we begin our journey to find the Prophet to finally finish this and head back and celebrate hopefully we complete this mission without hiccups and get rewards from the commander but even if we do not this is our first mission and failure is not an option.

As we make our way throughout the ship we come across a few sentinels that are patrolling the ship luckily thanks to the AI they are not hostile to us but that does not mean we should let our guard down around them just incase.

As we continue to move we come across a group of brutes that are fighting some sentinels it looks like A3G6 set the covenant forces as hostile in the ships systems making the sentinels attack them at least it saves us ammo since we do not have spare to deal with every brute or grunt that we come across with that in mind we let the brutes fight the sentinels till there are only a few brutes left before finishing them off not allowing them to inform the prophet of our presence.

After the last brute falls the remaining sentinels leave begining their patrols once more me and my team just ignore them and continue on our journey toward the command center according to the map there's four entrances to this room one from north,east,south and west we are currently making our way to the south entrance as that's the one Master Chief is closest to it's the best chance at meeting up with him and completing the mission.

With that thought we continue making our way there going through corridor after corridor until we come across a room that's close to the command center of the ship and to our suprise standing at the door to go further is the Spartan we are looking for it did not take long for him to notice us pointing his gun at us" who are you" we did not have time to answer so I took a device from my waist that's similar to the device that A3G6 was in and press the button a holographic representation of Supreme Commander Dark appears and begins to speak" Master Chief these are my men they were sent to aid you in ending this war for now we will hold the covenant fleet once it appears you focus on the prophet" after is finishes the Master Chief lowers his weapon before speaking" right so he is not dead than like the UNSC said thought as much he's not that easy to kill" he than turns around to the door and we follow behind understand he wants to get this done and focus on something more important.

With the Master chief ahead of us we exit the room and as we do we are treated by a large amount of brutes and grunts fighting a large amount of sentinels and it appears they are losing the only issue is even if they are fighting sentinels the moment they notice us they will focus their fire on us to stop us from getting to their prophet.

Not waiting for them to notice us and make us lose our advantage the Master runs towards the group guns blazing killing any brute or grunt he can at this I just shrug and follow suit killing any who get in our way leaving only bodies behind us due to the amount of brutes and grunts the amount of ammo we have is dwindling fast but in order to accommodate this consumption we have been picking up any covenant weapons we can and using them instead by the time we got to the door that leads command centre we had already gone through a large amount of covenant weapons causing small piles of weapons to be seen on the floor beside some of the corpses of brutes and grunts.

Now that we arrive at the door to the command center we make sure to reload our weapons and after doing so the Master Chief walks to the terminal next to the door and activates it as he does the door begins to open and me and my team aim out weapons ahead ready to open fire if needed and as we expected there were 4 brutes holding large hammer type weapons at the centre of the room and behind them was the Prophet of Truth.

Not giving the prophet anytime to speak or give orders we open fire hitting his brute guards as they charge towards use with their hammers ready but before they could even do so Master Chief throws a plasma grenade that he had picked up from a grunt he had killed thanks to his luck his landed on the chest of the brute that was ahead of the other but before they could react it explodes and due to our constant fire their personal shields had already been down causing them all to be killed by the grenade seeing the Prophet bangs his arm on the side of his floating chair.

After we reload our weapons both us and Master Chief make our way to towards the prophet that is now without guards as we do the prophet shoots at us with his floating chair which to our suprise actually has laser weapons inbuilt into it causing us to quickly dodge to avoid being hit as we get up we just point our weapons at him and unpoad our ammo at him it did not take long for his personal shield to fail after being his from 4 different people after it fails Master Chief raises his hand knowing he wants us to stop we do allowing him to finish this not long after Master Chief takes his hand gun and points it at the prophet and shoots the bullet leaving the gun and hitting the prophet right in the forehead killing him on the spot.

We just look at the scene before us like it's nothing before 002 takes out a small communication device and activating it before sending the messages that the mission is complete not long after a reply comes telling them to return back to the ship Master Chief will take care of the rest.

Turning the device off we look at the scene before us and quickly leave without saying anything we had done our job so we had no reason to say or do anything else it did not take us long before we arrive back at our pelican and board his before setting off back to our command ship.
