As I pace around the room waiting for my new son to be born, I contemplate the recent events that have transpired in my kingdom. Asgard has been figuratively crippled with no heir to take over the throne.
My first son Thor died in battle while protecting Asgard from ragnarok. He was slain by Surt with a swift strike to the back as he protected the citizens of Asgard in their retreat.
My second son Baldur soon took over the position as crown prince to lead his people. But than fate had other plans and took my son away soon after. His death was due to angering one of those cursive dragon gods The great red.
All I am left with for a successor is Loki, my adopted son. I love my son but he is not ready for the responsibility to lead his people. If I was to relinquish my throne to his hands Asgard would parish.
Thankfully the fates were kind enough to lend Asgard a hand. My wife Frigg is with child, not only is she pregnant but the domains of thunder, lightning, storm, strength and oak tree are revolving around the palace . This could only mean that a successor has been chosen. Someone deemed worthy by the elements to carry on the title Thor.
CRACK DADA DOOM
"SIRE THE PRINCE THE PRINCE HAS BEEN BORN" said the guard
As I stop in place from pacing like a mad fool I turn to the guard.
"Lead the way Gurt has anything happened upon my sons birth" said Odin with narrowed eyes.
"The prince has gained a domain your highness" said Gurt as he tried to catch his breath.
As I followed Gurt out of the throne room we passed two massive double doors made out of stone. Taking a left we rushed down the hallway into the medical side of the palace. As I approached I could smell the moisture in the air.
"In here your highness" said Gurt as he gives a little bow as he opens the door into the med wing.
As soon as I enter I could see my wife in a queens size bed. The bed was decorated with white and gold linens. She had disheveled blond hair and her silver colored eyes were frightening. As my eyes roamed downwards I could see she was holding a bundle of drapes wrapped around a small figure. I start to approach slowly only to finally see my son.
