The Descent of a God

As the grey robbed man stood, with his hands in the air chanting multiple verses. Veni ad nos stat pro filiis populi. ut di inhabitare facit unius moris in conspectu TUO! When the verse ended the runic circle started to glow blue, but slowly it died out with nothing happening. The grey robbed man just watched on contemplating, what had gone wrong.

"I told you Albus the gods have not come down to the mortal plane in centuries. Why would they decide to come now of all times, even if it is tradition" said the old woman as she walked towards Dumbledore.

"Maybe your right Minerva, I still had hope in meeting them at least once in this lifetime of mine" said Dumbledore with a sigh as his shoulders slumped.

"PSsss Harry do you think the summoning ritual worked" said a red haired boy in a whisper as he leaned towards Harry's ear.

"Ooh shut up Ron don't ask such stupid questions, If it worked the headmaster wouldn't be looking so down" said the Brown curly haired girl from the other side of harry.

"Would you two be quite. Snape is going to deduct our points again, if you don't stop talking. said Harry is a whisper as he kept looking at the Headmaster.

Drip Drip Drip

"Oh bloody hell, look at the sky its about to start pouring soon. cant they just rap" Said Ron as he was cut off before thunder rumbled in the air.

Rumble Rumble BOOM

As everyone looked up to see the dark sky littered with dark clouds and lightning. the wind started to pick up while the rumbles got louder and louder until finally the lightning was being drawn together into the very center of the storm.

"ALL STUDENTS HEAD INSIDE AND MOVE QUICKLY" said Dumbledore in a panic as he watched the sky.

Before the students had the chance to react however the condensed bolt of lightning flashed and hit the ground next to Dumbledore. All went silent after everyone's vision recovered from the burst of light. Standing a few feet away from Dumbledore was a tall man about 6'2 with a defined torso and broad shoulders, he has blond hair that reached down to his shoulders. He has piercing silver eyes and aristocratic features. He was wearing light blue chain-mail, black pants and boots. He had a spear on his back and was currently holding a massive hammer in his right hand.

"So I heard there was some kind of tournament nearby, did I make it in time" Said Thor as he smirked.

"Gah.." said Dumbledore as he tried to speak.

"Oh how rude of me, almost forgot about the introductions. I'm Thor Odinson Crown Prince of Asgard and The God of thunder, lightning and strength. said Thor as his eyes showed amusement.

"Who among you is the headmaster and what is thy's request Midgardian" said Thor

"Ahem excuse me for that Prince Thor you got me by surprise. I am the Headmaster, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore" said Dumbledore as he stood straight.

"I tend to have that effect on people mostly woman but none the less" said Thor as he looked around.

"So are you going to get to the point I don't have all day Albus" said Thor as he crossed his arms.

"Ah yes forgive me still a little shocked, the request is for you Prince Thor to act as a protector and deterrent" said Dumbledore as he bowed his head.

"The request I accept However, I have one of my own" said Thor as he locked onto a man with a staff.

"Anything that is within our power Prince Thor" said Dumbledore as he took a step forward.

"It isn't to difficult I just want to meet a few of your students later, Ill also like the opportunity to explore the castle. said Thor as he kept looking at the same man.

"Consider it done Prince Thor, we will also arrange a room immediately for your stay in the castle during the period of the tournament" said Dumbledore as he started to relax.

"Good, Also you with the eye patch and the walking stick, Why do you hide in that fake form" said Thor in a carefree voice.

"Are you talking to me Prince Thor" said the eye patch wearing man as he started fidgeting.

"Who else here is wearing an eye patch and holding a walking stick, when you have a perfectly good pair of legs Midgardian" Said Thor as he threw Mjolnir up and catching it with his right hand.

"That is because" said the man with the eye patch, before he tried to pull out his wand he was struck with a bolt of lightning coming out of the sky killing him instantly.

"AAAAH, Chatter Chatter Rustle Rustle" said the surrounding area

"Silence" said Thor in a normal voice as it was still heard in the surrounding area.

"Check the body Albus he should have reverted back to his normal appearance" Said Thor as he looked at a shocked Dumbledore.

"Ah Prince Thor what have you" said Dumbledore before he was cut off.

"Enough Albus I have accepted the request to act as a deterrent and protector to everyone, Student teacher and participant. That man had foul intentions and plans on your students. Go check on the body and turn it in to your authority's" said Thor as he conjured a throne and sat down next to the goblet of fire.

As Dumbledore turned around and started heading to professor moody he saw a burnt corpse with the features still visible, when he looked down.

"This is not Alastor" said Dumbledore in shock
