7 Years Later..

"Anna!"

"Anna!"

"Are you up yet?" Mrs. Miller called for Merry while entering her room, gently pushing the door open.

The room was still dimly lit from the early morning sun that seeped through the curtains. Merry stirred in her bed and slowly opened her eyes to meet Mrs. Miller's gaze with a groggy "Good morning Mom."

Mrs. Miller smiled warmly at Merry and said, "Good morning, sleepyhead. It's time to start the day. It's your first day at work, so make sure you are ready on time."

Merry nodded and replied, "Yes, Mom. I will get ready right away." Merry quickly got out of her bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up for the day.

Even after Merry had gone inside the bathroom to freshen up, Mrs. Miller lingered outside in Merry's room and took a moment to reflect on how quickly time had passed since they had moved into this house. Over the past 7 years, many things had changed for Merry and for Mrs. Miller as well.
