Consulting The Crazy, Raggedy Kider Loner 2

Ren and Xavier stood, shoulders broad and confident with eyes casted down, staring at the the skimpy, sloppy vault, located behind the enormous pillars with two different thoughts in their heads.

Xavier, with his painfully, reluctant heart, was thinking whether coming to this place was the right thing to do and if Tashina was still going to leave him like she said.

While Ren, though he had his perfectly impassive expression on, inwardly, he was actually freaking out, starting to regret his decision of finding the Loner and as he was about to run away from the horrid place.

Xavier took a bold and courageous step forward but halted a minute later when he noticed his cousin was still standing at the exact same spot he left him, staring at the haunted building.

"Come on! What are you staring at?" He walked back and asked in aggression.

"Um...you still want to go? We could just turn back and...arghhhh!!!" the collar of his shirt was dragged roughly by his cousin and into the dark, steamy tunnel that led to Kider.

When they reached the doorstep, Xavier let go of Ren who straightened his clothes while glaring at his cousin that didn't spare him a glance as his eyes were already directed to the huge, black iron doors that images of former dark deities were sculpted on.

He raised his right fist and pounded twice on the door. A few blocks of cement fell down from the ceiling which made Ren jump in fright.

"Who would believe you're the Beta of a kingdom when you get frightened at the slightest thing?" Xavier shaked his head in disbelief and a few black strands fell over his eyes.

"Oh please, I'm the best-arrghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" The doormat that they were standing on, pushed down the ground by itself and they fell into the trap that was set by the king of vagabonds, Kider himself.

Ren kept on jumping, screaming and yelling as they were shoved abruptly underground but his cousin, Xavier, stood as impassive as he always was, the wind blew his long strands into his face and he often brought his hand out of his pocket to get it away from his view.

The Beta fell down to the floor when they landed unexpectedly and he staggered as he tried to stand up with his wobbling limbs.

"What on earth was that?" Ren demanded with a flush face.

Xavier dusted his shoulder and tuck his hair behind his ear with the same indifferent expression spilled on his tangible face.

"He is a vagabond, currently on the run from twenty different countries, what else did you expect?" The Alpha shrugged as he stepped in the dark, underground cave.

"A more befitting welcome, maybe??" Ren grumbled as he stepped into the tunnel, behind Xavier.

"Such rude manners for royal werewolves like you!" a deep, raw, husky voice spat venomly and a trembling Ren quickly stood behind Xavier who focused on the dark cave, glaring at nothing in particular.

"You stepped into this place without a single respect in your actions!!" his deadly voice rang through the cave.

"We are not here for courtesy, Kider. We are here to consult the oracle" Xavier scowled in the same manner.

A mocking, bleak chuckle echoed around the underground cave and the entire walls literally vibrated from the devastating noise that attacked it.

Ren quickly clutched Xavier's arm and frantically looked around for the face of the voice so he could run whenever he spotted him.

"You came all the way from your measly castle to consult the Almighty Oracle? You are a disgrace to werewolves!" The animosity behind the voice made the hair on Ren's neck stand and it only aggravated Xavier's rage.

"How dare you?! Do you realize who you are talking to? This is the greatest Alpha of our realm and you dare disrespect him!! You have the Grand Council to answer, old man!!" Although he wasn't sure where he mustered the courage, Ren defended his cousin with a shaking form.

"You're very funny. I pay no tributes to stupid politics such as yours!! You are in my abode, better respect yourself if you don't want to return back to mama in pieces" The mysterious voice uttered.

"Oh my Moon!! Did you just hear what he said, Xavier? I mean, how insolent!" Ren had to use his hand to fan himself before the heat inside him explodes.

"You call this an abode? The prison we have at our 'measly castle' is a thousand times better that this dump you call a home" Ren rolled his eyes and made an air quote with his fingers when he said 'measly castle'.

"Why are you just standing and saying nothing? Letting your little boyfriend speak for you as though you have no mouth of your own?" The voice mocked the Alpha.

Ren was about to speak again when Xavier held him back.

"If you're so courageous, why are you hiding behind the shadows? Come out and let's talk face to face" Muttered Xavier with a still glare towards a particular direction.

"My face has been manipulated lots of times by scoundrels. I trust nobody!" The voice spoke as Xavier narrowed his eyes towards a specific spot.

"Oh yeah? I am the alpha of the territory you stand on, who else would you trust if not me?" Xavier questioned.

"I have been tricked by Alphas, Emperors, Kings and Emirs, countlessly for the past centuries I have lived on the surface of the Earth. Give one reason to trust you!"

"Because I am the last ruler of the Makabad Crystal" The alpha brought out a blue, round and sparkling marble in which a distinct symbol was trapped inside and pointed it towards the direction his gaze has been since he walked in the cave.

Instantly the entire room lit up with blinding, white lights and a face was finally put to the gravely voice.
