“Yeah. Did you see that he wants to put one of those push-button entrance locks on the door to your private lab?”

“That I did, and I don’t see any problem with it.”

“Do you really think I’m in any actual danger here in Aragoni?”

“Hard to say, babe. Anyone can enter the Duchy by car, train, or plane, so you arevulnerable. On the other hand, you’re a lot more vulnerable in Conti or Siena.”

“Yeah. By the way, next time we go to Conti, why don’t we take the train?”

“Sure, but why? It’ll take a lot longer.”

“Maybe, but there’s a train that comes through here just after midnight. We can leave Friday night and be in Conti the next morning. If we ask Izzy to book us a compartment under his name, nobody will know where we are.”

“Okay. How about the return trip?”

“We take the same train we did from Milan, but we get on board in Conti.”
