Chapter 9: I Marry Josh

A few weeks later, the ceremony has begun. Many of Mr. Alexander's family have attend the ceremony while on Sarah side there is no one attend for her ceremony. Just her as the main, the bride, she doesn't have any uncle nor auntie lika Josh did. In all her life, her only family is her father and mother. She doesn't know if she have any cousins, uncle nor aunt. And what worse she have to deal with this kind of situation alone, she doesn't know what to do in this situation and worse no one ever told her how to cope with it. Her mother had died early when she was little and her father never give her any attention nor give her any advice about marriage stuff.

When the maid trying to set up her dress, the door on her dressing room sunddely open and she saw from the mirror that Mr. Alexander comes in. He smile widely looking at how beautiful she is with the white wedding dress. He walks towards her.

"You looks really beautiful Sarah with that dress on."

"Thank you dad." she forced a smile in her face. She wasn't actually excite like Mr. Alexander, but for his sake she smile. This have been notice by Mr. Alexander, he knows what Sarah feels and he tried to make her feel at ease.

"I know that this seem to be new for you, suddenly being marry to my son someone whom you berely know and this is because of my request. I'm really sorry but also glad that I'll be able to have a daughter in law like you."

"It's OK dad, I know. I agreed to do this so you don't have to feel sorry about it. I may barely know Josh but I'll try my best to be a good wife to him and also to be a good daughter in law to you.

Mr. Alexander smile even brighter and took Sarah's hand. "You have a good heart Sarah and I know you won't let me down on this, thank you for the sacrifice that you did for all of this. I'm really glad to be able to meet you on the accident that day. You save me if not I won't be here today, how i wish I have daughter like you. " Mr. Alexander brush her hairs gently and affection.

Sarah try to old up her tiers, but she doesn't want to ruin her make up. She too feels lucky to have met Mr. Alexander that day. Because of that, she and Mr. Alexander had become close like father and daughter. Everything that ever happen in her life, she would tell Mr. Alexander. And as the adult, he is a good listener and would give her the courage to face her problems and advice on how to cope it all. Its a shame that her father wasn't like Mr. Alexander who would always blame her for being a useless daughter.

She reminded herself that she wasn't going to look back at the past. The church bell have been rings, this mean that it is finally for her to walk at the  church aisle, she walks toward the close door and wait for the door to open up. Beside her is Mr. Alexander and for his final talk to her.

"Sarah.."

She look at him.

" I really do hope that you can be happy with my son. There is so many things for both of you to learn the meaning of being married. I know that right now it is impossible for both of you to love each other but one day both of you will. Josh is very strict and he doesn't know what love is and that is entirely my fault.  I work hard to provide everything, because for that I didn't have any time to spend with him. I was so consume in making my company to be the top company at the same try to forget the feeling of losing someone you love so dearly until I forget that my son also need comfort for losing his mother at such a young age. The result he became a cold person and build a wall around his heart. No matter what happen in the future, I hope you can be by his side always and be patient with him because for me to do that.. It was already to late. "

A few second later," I promise dad. I would try my best to be with him no matter what."

Then the door finally open and she walks towards the altar. Josh was waiting for her there and after she arrived, Mr. Alexander give her hand to Josh and Josh hold it. Mr. Alexander hug both Sarah and Josh then goes back to seat in front.

Sarah's mind was blank and she doesn't know what happen during the time they both says their vow and how the priest have finally declare her and Josh as husband and wife.

She felt it happen so fast.

After the event at the church, all the guest goes to one of the top hotel where Josh and Sarah reception have been held. For a few hours, Sarah felt like she could smile anymore. It was so tiring to smile at all the guest who congratulate them for their wedding. The reception have finally ended in the evening and both Sarah and Josh won't be coming home since Mr. Alexander had already booked a room for them to stay for the night.

Sarah feels like she got a cold splash all over her body when she heard that she and Josh going to be in the same room. When she looks at Josh to see what his reaction was, she felt a bit disappointed because he shows nothing but emotionless face. Without any objection at all, she follow Josh behind. She couldn't handle what will happen after they enter the room.

But then she realise something, it is normal for both people who just got married to be at the same room. She almost forgot about it, that now she wasn't single anymore.

"I marry Josh."
