The Labyrinth Of The Whispering Warrior

"Woah…" I whisper mesmerized by my surroundings. I was in a type of castle.

"Gosh…This is the first time I've seen a dungeon change" Yuka muttered.

"It's because of my Ancient Art. If it evolved that means there is a possibility that at the end of the dungeon, there will be something that will help me with the art." I grinned.

"As much as this is exciting. We need to be careful we don't know the monsters in this dungeon" She warned me.

"Ok, ok. I'll be careful" I acknowledged.

I looked forward and started to head to the only door at the entrance. I slowly opened it and prepared for any unexpected attack. Through the door, there was a long hall, with statues of griffins and basilisk.

"Watch out. I've heard of monsters like these. They look like statues and attack when players least expect it." She cautioned me.

I nodded and gripped my blade, readying myself for battle. I cleared my head of unnecessary details and prepared for battle. I rushed to the nearest Griffin attempting to behead it. The other monsters became alert and rushed into battle.

"Avoid eye contact with the basilisk. They can kill with one look." Yuka shouted out.

I nodded and avoided the eyes of the basilisks. I decided to quickly get rid of the Griffins before killing the basilisks. The moment I rushed toward them, they all flew up evading all my attacks. This is going to be tricky.

"Hey, Yuka! Do you know the weakness of Griffins?" I call out evading the attacks coming my way.

"It's fire but I don't think any of us have proficiency in fire magic" She replied barely evading an attack.

I cracked my head running through all the techniques in my head hoping to find one that used fire magic. I almost lost hope before I came across it. "Hono no Mai-The Flame Dance".

"Yuka cover me i think I know a way to get rid of the Griffins," I shouted moving back for her to cover me.

"Tch. Fine, this better work or we're screwed." She responded.

I immediately went through the breathing techniques and instructions. I tried to reach for the flame burning inside me. I grasped it and willed it to my blade.

"Yuka! Move back" I shouted.

I crouched into a charge and breathed out, "Hono no Mai-Flame Dance."

Fire exploded out of my blade heating up most of the room. I jumped up and beheaded a griffin, using its body as a platform I attacked another griffin. I kept going using the fire on my blade, truly doing a dance of flames. In under 10 minutes, there were no more Griffins to bother us. I descended from the last griffin and landed beside Yuka.

"Ok, not going to lie but that was cool" She praised.

"Thank you, but we still have to fight these basilisks. Can you inform me about their powers and weaknesses?" I asked.

"Um yeah, they're able to kill with one look like I told you before, and have powerful venom attacks. They are weak to the smell of weasels and usually die when they see their reflection" She informed me.

I looked around the hall and noticed a bunch of mirrors on each pillar in the hall. I leaped up and grabbed two handing it to Yuka.

"Let's kick some basilisk butt" I grinned.

We both held the mirrors in our hands and charged at them. Anytime they looked toward us we held up the mirrors. They always shrieked and shriveled up before falling down dead. Before we knew it, all the basilisks were down on the ground dead. Yuka and I were leaning on each other exhausted.

"Why haven't we leveled up yet?" I questioned.

"All experience points are given at the end of the dungeon. So we'll level up when we complete the dungeon." She notified me.

"Oh…We need to keep going." I stood up and headed for the door.

We both stepped through the door and saw an ape-like monster with bushy tails and canine features. It was a red-furred monster with a flatter, bulldog-like face, a white body with grey stripes, and a round fur tuft on its back.

"What the hell is that?" I screamed in fear.

"That's a Lolo Gougarph" Yuka sighed.

{Short A/N: This monster is not my own and I got it from Monster Hunter. I had no original idea so I used this.}

"A what?" I asked confused.

"A lolo gougarph. It's physically strong and uses magnetism to repel its enemies. It is weak to water. Think you have anything that has to do with water in your ancient arts?" She told me.

"I can check how long can you hold it?" I inquired.

"5 minutes minimum, 8 minutes top" She responded.

"Ok buy me some time" I jumped back.

I once again looked through the techniques in my head looking for anything related to water. Like before a technique appeared in my head just in time. "Nami no odori-Dance of Waves". I went through the breathing and instructions. I utilized the mana in the air and created water.

"Yuka! Move away." I shouted.

She jumped back giving me room to launch my attack. I first aimed for its legs slicing it in two, leaving behind a smooth trail of water before maneuvering my body and slashing his arms leaving it vulnerable to any attack. I went for the head splitting it in two. I landed in front of Yuka panting in exhaustion.

"That was cool. Where did you learn how to fight like that?" She admired.

"My Ancient Art" I replied collapsing on the floor.

"Let's continue and get this over with" She helped me up.

We headed for the next door wondering what monster lay ahead. Inside was a black werewolf with a black type armour and hammer in its hand.

"Well, this is bad. That's an Armoured Alpha. It is known for its ability to exert strength over others. Despite its hulking frame, it has a lot of speed on it. It is usually killed by agility based players. They give it multiple injuries so that it will die of blood loss" Yuka gave a brief explanation.

"Is air techniques used to kill it." I questioned.

"Yes it can be used. Gonna look through your art for a wind based technique?" She agreed.

"Yeah! Cover for me please" I shouted moving back.

"Hai!" She laughed.

I went through my art looking for a wind based technique to use. It didn't take as long as before, so I had already found one. "Arekuruu Kaze-The Raging Wind". I used my mana to make the wind stronger. I directed it to my blade and used it as a catalyst.

"Yuka! Move away" I yelled.

She jumped away and allowing me to launch my attack. I kept hitting it on its weak points. I aimed for its joints, legs and arms. Each hit kept getting stronger after every other. The wind stormed and got stronger, creating a mini tornado in the room. I decided to aim for its head as my final attack. The attack was strong but not enough to cut its full head off but it left a nasty gash. The werewolf stumbled and attempted to attack me again before dropping down dead.

"Whew, this battles are draining me" I sighed tiredly.

"Just hold one just one or more battles left. I'm sure of it" She reassured me.

"How about we take a rest for a while" She proposed.

I nodded in agreement and dragged my body to the other door laying besides it. Yuka sat beside me and handed me a water bottle. I drank eagerly from it. We stayed there for an hour or so before preparing to go through the next door. A black leopard was in the middle staring at us as of it was expecting us already.

"I haven't seen a monster like this before." She informed me.

"Well maybe its weakness is earth. The other monsters had a weakness to elements and the last one is earth." I proposed.

"Maybe... Let's try it out. It's better than nothing." She agreed.

I once again went through my techniques. In under a minute I already had one ready and prepped. "Kyusoku no Yama-Resting Mountain". I didn't have to say anything before Yuka jumped away. I charged forward and swung my sword down putting the pressure of a mountain on the sword. Instead piercing through the skin it broke its skull into pieces. Killing it in a single hit.

"This is tiring" I mutter.

"That's a new monster. Its skin is impenetrable." Yuka breathed out with admiration.

I didn't respond before dragging her through the last door; hopefully. The moment I stepped forward I was bombarded with system messages.
