Chapter 35- Regicide (1/2)

- Open Sea -

Dozens of Viking style ships were sailing on the open sea, all in one direction and with one goal? to finally reach the infamous Dragon's Nest.

All the Vikings were dressed in thick fur coats, and even then, some were still shivering with cold, imagine the temperature of the water in this sea, the winter in Berk was really terrible.

In a boat ahead was Hiccup and his fellow dragon, Changewing: Kali, and along with him in the boat was Stoick guiding the boat. Hiccup had grown taller and more robust in the time that had passed, his hair had grown long and gave him an air of maturity, he had leather armor and at his waist rested two iron daggers reinforced with Black Iron.

In the same boat as them were the twins Tuffnut and Ruffnut with their dragon, the Zippleback: Burp and Puke, both wore spears reinforced with Black Iron and their typical Viking helmet, they wore leather armor and Tuffnut had cut his hair very short while Ruffnut kept his blond hair long and now loose, they were taller and more mature from their adventures.

In the boat to the right was Snotlout with his Dragon, the Monstrous Nightmare: Hook-tooth, the two were in the bow of the ship and the Vikings scattered around the rest of the boat, although they were slowly getting used to Dragons being friends there still remained a bit of inherent fear.

Snotlout had not changed so much, he had not become taller but he was even broader and stronger, a large single-edged axe rested on his back with a black metallic sheen, the weapon had also been reinforced with Black Iron by Zagreus along with all the shields of the Vikings that were there.(Not the weapons, just the shields.)

In the boat to Hiccup's left was Fishlegs with his Dragon, the Gronckle: Potato, He carried at his waist a one-handed hammer that had been reinforced with Black Iron, he wore leather armor and had become thinner and taller, although still fat.

And leading this fleet of boats was Zagreus, in his own red boat, reinforced with some thin plates of black metal, made by himself, and Alduin by his side guiding them towards the Nest.

The demigod had also grown taller, reaching 5.7 feet, he carried his favorite two-handed Warhammer and a shield on his back. His hair had reached his shoulders and he even wanted to cut it at first, but he liked it and kept this new look.

He was wearing Dragon Scale armor, because Alduin is a Night Fury and his species changes skin more often than others.

So the making of his colleagues' scale armor was left for later, however, he would not leave his friends in the lurch in this dangerous fight and used his [Talisman Creation] skill to enchant his friends' armor to be fire resistant, shock wave resistant, lower wind resistance, and I did the same with my armor.

In these six months that passed, Zagreus' birthday finally happened, it was on December 4th, and how did anyone find out, you ask? Well, Astrid asked, and when she heard that the date was near, she didn't want his birthday to pass unnoticed. And although he didn't like to celebrate his birthday very much, since it reminded him too much of his mother, he still had a lot of fun with his friends and even received a special gift from his girlfriend.

And speaking of her, Astrid was in the same boat as her boyfriend with her blue Nadder Mortal: Storm, she had become taller, now standing at 5.4 Feet. Her increasingly longer hair brought her an ethereal, mature beauty that matched her. She also wore armor made of blue scales and several black scales completing the armor and offering great protection, while her double-edged Axe rested on her back along with her shield.

Astrid was serious and focused, but also very nervous and curious about what would come next, until finally she asks.

"How long until we get to the Nest, Zagreus?" (Does anyone have any ideas for an affectionate nickname for Zagreus? Like : Zag, Zags, something like that or something).

Zagreus looks at Alduin who mumbles some growls, Zagreus looks at the fog in front of him with determination and answers his girlfriend.

"Let's enter the fog, the island is located in the middle of it all! There is a Volcano on the island, and the Queen uses it to cause the fog.

Zagreus answers her and then walks to the back of the boat and orders the nearest boat.

"Slow down and stay well behind my boat, follow exactly the same path as mine! Tell the nearest boat and ask the other boat to do the same and so on."

And as he was ordered, each ship lined up behind Zagreus and slowly but surely they entered the fog.

But just as they enter, dozens of dragons fly at them to attack them and defend their Queen, however, as soon as they approach, they fly away like insects fleeing from insecticide.

The Dragons try to approach again but in a few attempts and soon give up since the boats were "empty" and full of eels and grass which they hate, so they fly back to the island.

In fact what happened was that Zagreus had obviously prepared in advance for the dragon attacks and urged the Berk tribe to get as many eels as possible to put on the boats, along with which they had sewn sheets large enough to cover the entire boat and full of Dragon Grass. Thus completely masking the smell of the Vikings and throwing them off.

The boats proceed slowly and stealthily between the small piles of stone, and if it weren't for Alduin, the boats would all be destroyed.

But it wasn't long before the Hairy Hooligans found the island, and right next to Zagreus, Alduin stood with an expression and body language that indicated only one emotion: Fear.

The smell of sulfur was prominent on the island, due to the Volcano. They arrive and dock on the island, and only one sound was heard, a sound similar to the chirps of birds, and it was as frequent as it was distant, it was as if there were hundreds of birds together in one place.

But as soon as Zagreus gets off the boat, these noises are completely silent, and the once noisy island is now deathly quiet.

"Let's get the ground ready, I want this whole area completely covered with wooden stakes. Get your catapults and your weapons ready, the War is about to begin!" Stoick said seriously, an aura of charisma surrounded him and made everyone obey him without question.

Zagreus and his team of Dragon tamers also help make the stakes. Snotlout, Fishlegs,Tuffnut and Hiccup are nervous about the War that would start even though they are making a strong front.

After the time that 2 incense sticks were burned, the Vikings were ready. Catapults armed, and weapons in hand. Stoick stood in front of everyone as they waited for their orders, and he soon raises his hand and says.

"No matter what, this ends today. LAUNCH!"

And at the end of his words, the ropes that held the catapults were cut and the stones are launched into the mountain. The large stones come into contact and several holes are opened. Stoick walks to the nearest hole, again raises his hand and soon a burning ball of hay is thrown into the hole, showing dozens of Dragons of different races.

Everyone anxiously awaits what Stoick was going to do, when at the same instant they hear a war cry from the Giant Redhead.

"Huuuuoooo!"

And at the sound of his shout many Dragons fly out of the hole and start attacking all the people.

Zagreus and Astrid fight side by side, the blonde girl strikes a Deadly Nadder Hybrid in the head and kills the Dragon on the spot, she puts her foot on the now dead Dragon's head and pulls the Axe back and with that same momentum she strikes another Dragon.

Zagreus is killing Dragons left and right, and although he is trying to communicate with some of them, it seems that his control over them is too high for that. And while he didn't want to kill them because they were being controlled, that was just it, he wasn't going to take the risk of losing his life or someone else's for that matter.

Along with him, Alduin was having the party in this battle and with his more than cool plasma flame, he was going through a Dragon or two with each plasma ball.

Snotlout was on the defensive and rarely attacked, but when he did it was to take down most of the smaller Dragons. His Dragon protecting him and killing anyone who got too close.

And behind him was Fishlegs, who with his one-handed Hammer was taking several casualties, it seems the once timid man was a great and brave warrior. His Dragon, Gronckle, was nearby and ready to defend his friend.

The Twins, Tuffnut and Ruffnut, with their backs to each other in a defensive formation to poke the heads of nearby Dragons without much risk, their two-headed Dragon biting and clawing at whoever came near.

Hiccup and his Changewing Dragon: Kali, were hiding and only acting when someone was attacked and saving them.

After a few minutes of fighting, the amount of Dragons had diminished considerably and they soon flee, on the Vikings' side, thanks to Hiccup's efforts, no Viking died that day.

The Vikings seeing that the Dragons were retreating, begin to celebrate their victory with great joy.

"So that's it? Well, I'm not complaining!" Gibber said. (You should never, ever say that!)

"Remember, the hardest part starts now, GET PREPARED!"

And as if to punctuate his statement, a bad terrifying roar these Vikinge have ever heard.

*Serious and Terrifying Roar* ( This roar sounds like the Hydra's in God of War, anyone who agrees comments).

A 510-feet Colossal Dragon, with great wings and a huge mouth, destroys the mountain like it was paper. At last, the Queen of Dragons appears.

The group of Berk tamers gather to face the Queen, as they prepare to mount us Dragons, Zagreus begins to give the orders and strategies.

"Fishlegs, now that you are facing this Dragon, I want a report, for yesterday!"

The Demigod quickly asks for information from the one who has more understanding than him on the subject, and quick as a bullet Fishlegs answers him.

"Okay! Heavily armored skull and tail made for smashing and crushing!  Stay away from both!  Small eyes, big nostrils! Locate yourself by hearing and smell!"

"Right. Snotlout! Fishlegs! I want you guys to get its attention so the others can get away! Find out if that thing has any shooting limits!"

The said people nod and fly right away to do as he was ordered.

"Hiccup, I want you to find out some kind of weak spot on it! Some wound or scar where we can hurt him even more."

Hiccup agrees and mounts his Dragon which quickly becomes invisible as it flies.

"Astrid, even if he can't orient himself by his eyes, I want you to make him blind! Tuffnut and Ruffnut, you will make him angry, join Snotlout and Fishlegs for that."

Everyone goes to their respective posts and does as he is ordered.

Snotlout and Fishlegs successfully manage to get the Queen occupied, causing the Vikings to manage to get away by launching fire to distract him.

And with this distraction caused by the duo along with the Twins, Astrid manages to throw thorns into the Queen's small eyes, leaving her blind on the right side.

Zagreus is still on the ground, waiting for Hiccup so he can give a sharp attack, but he doesn't wait long as Hiccup soon appears, lands next to him and says.

"There is no sign of a scar or wound, only the wings are slightly damaged but that's it!"

Zagreus gets a little irritated by this but soon recovers and says.

"Damn, I didn't want to use that so soon! But I don't want to risk losing anyone in this fight."

Zagreus' mutterings end up leaving Hiccup confused about what he meant, but soon Zagreus shouts and leaves him even more confused.

"Hey, ALDUIN! Let's do that technique!"

{No, I hate that thing, it gives me chills afterwards!}

Zagreus laughs at his friend's antics and takes a paper out of his armor pocket, the paper was gold with red letters that meant: Fusion.

Said paper was a Talisman, the most labored and detailed Talisman, as Zagreus wrote them in a specific way and placed them in multi-layers to increase the power.

One Talisman to maintain balance, one to decrease pain and so on, several Talismans in one to work.

Zagreus puts the Talisman right in front of his face and transfers his Chi to it, the Talisman begins to glow and Zagreus says the following words to activate it.

"Shikigami Fusion: WORLD DEVORING DRAGON!"

And he throws the Talisman forward and Alduin is sucked into it while Zagreus is covered by the purple light, the light goes on increasing until a column of purple fire explodes around Zagreus.

Hiccup had long since turned away, everyone stops the fight to look at Zagreus, even the Dragon Queen herself feels fear as she looks at him.

Zagreus was now covered in Black scales, his horns now appearing and larger than before, his claws even sharper and looking like a face drawn in the armor that now covered his two arms, his giant wings spread open and spewing purple flames.

He opens his eyes that glow green and gold, the left and right respectively, Zagreus looks at the Queen and says.

"Shall we begin?"
