CHAPTER 3

While the villagers were getting ready for the marriage of the king and his new bride, queen sally travelled far, she went in search of answers to her predicament with the king. The queen had so much hopes that there was something wrong some where, after a long journey through the thick forest she came across a small village in the middle of the forest. There she saw few numbers of houses, the houses were made of 2 types, some were for small business people and some were for people who were big, not knowing to the queen she had stumbled into the village of "Dwarfs and Giants".

In the village bother the dwarfs and Giants live together as one peaceful community, they would play together, farm together, eat together and dance together, they did practically everything together as one happy community. Queen sally went into the village and when they saw her they were surprised, even the queen herself was surprised because she only heard of the village of Dwarfs and Giants in stories that her mother used to tell her when she was just a little girl, but right now she can't believe that she is in the village of the dwarfs and giants. Immediately one of the dwarfs walked up to the queen and greeted her saying" your highness welcome to our village, we have been expecting you", out of shock the queen asked to be taken to their king, with this the dwarf took her to the king. When the queen got to the palace she greeted the king dwarf properly but the king dwarf asked her to sit down, the king introduced himself as "Adamu 1" king of the dwarfs, he went further to ask queen sally some few questions like " what brought you here?", " why have you travelled alone through this thick forest" and "how may they be of assistance".

The queen answered all king Adamu questions, the king then ordered his plalace maids to take her into one of the hurt, she should freshen up, rest, then tomorrow he would take her to their chief priest, he would be able to help her. with this the queen took refuge in one of the hurt, she did exactly as the king had instructed her to do, but she was still troubled and worried about her husband youthe king. The next morning the queen woke up very early, she meet the king already waiting for her in his throne room, the queen greeted the king and the king, queen sally, and 4 of the palace guards set off to the house of the chief priest.

On getting to the entrance of the chief priest house, an old dwarf came out of a small hut, he had wrinkled skin, and he had small eyes, he had a long staff in his hand. immediately he saw queen sally he shouted "Adaze" she was shocked because only her mother used to call her that, and it meant (princess). she asked the old dwarf how he knew that name, and why he called her that?. The old dwarf went on to tell queen sally that her late mother was the wife and queen of the dwarf king "Famous" ( king Adamu father). He went further to tell her that he has been expecting her to come for answers. The old dwarf told queen sally the story of how her mother became so unfortunate and passed it onto herself, he told queen sally that her late mother and father made a covenant with the gods of the dwarf, queen sally late mother was also beautiful like she was, kind hearted but didn't have any child to call her own, she and the king came to him and pleaded with the gods to give them a child and they promise to dedicate her to him and she will serve him for the rest of her life.

The old dwarf also told queen sally that the gods granted their wish but before the queen found out she was pregnant with Sally, the dwarf king died without any trace of sickness or illment. Because the king didn't die of any sickness the queen was barnished and sent to live with her kind for killing the king. It was when she left that she found out she was pregnant and decided to deliver the baby girl and raised her to be a princess that she was, but the queen soon forgot about the covenant she and her husband made with the gods. The gods searched everywhere for the daughter of the queen but found her married to a king in another village, she couldn't be touched as long as she was living in that village. So the gods made her face the same predicament as her mother, on hearing this queen sally broke down into tears, she cried so hard that the old dwarf had to calm her down, queen sally thought about how she is been punished for what she didn't know anything of.

The old dwarf also went further to tell queen sally that king Adamu was a child owned by the king out of wedlock, nobody knew about him till it was the day to choose who he next dwarf king would be, the old dwarf also told the queen about how her husband (king Isaac) has chosen another maiden as his new queen. On hearing this the queen refused to believe it and she set out for a journey to go back home and reclaim what is rightfully hers, with this the dwarf king had his maids park some foods and drinks for queen sally to set for her journey, queen sally collected the gifts with much thanks and set out for her journey back home.
