CHAPTER 4
The D-day had finally come, the palace guards, and maids had decorated the village square for the marriage ceremony to be held, some maids were sent from the palace to take clothes to the new bride (Ada), the king was dressed in a beautiful gold sequence material and was ready for the ceremony. The king joined his kings men in his throne room and they all set out to the venue. When the king got there the villagers were happy, dancing, singing, and the men went to greet the king one after the other. The chief priest arrived and everyone kept quiet all of a sudden, everyone knew the story of the chief priest, he killed his wife for speaking out of term, rumors went round the village then that he was a monster, some said that he was sleeping with his daughter and the wife caught them, to cover his shame he killed her.
The chief priest walked slowly with his daughter into the crowd, he greeted the king and ordered the celebration to begin. Thee celebration started with some young ladies dancing to a sweet song played by the musicians of the village, while the celebration has gone halfway Queen Sally walked into the ceremony with a shock on her face, silence went down as she stood in the entrance of the ceremony. The crowd went quite when they saw her, the king was stunned and stood up from his throne and gazed upon his beautiful wife face, she is as beautiful as she was the first day he saw her. She walked into thee ceremony with tears on her eyes, as she walked through the ceremony with her blue gown everyone was murmuring, some cursed her, accused her, some asked questions amongst themselves..
The queen got to where the king sat and with heavy tears on her eyes she knelt down and greeted the king, she also greeted his kings men, the chief priest, his daughter, and the entire village. she apologized for leaving without informing anyone but she is back to stay and she is back with answers, but first she has a question for the king her husband. She turned to face her husband,and asked him If he would still take her as his wife and what would he do with a second wife, with this the chief priest got up from his chair and addressed the queen to sit down, " you just came out of no where and decided to cause a scene at my daughters marriage ceremony, even if you are still the queen you have no rights or what so ever to speak out of term, so sit down and you can ask your questions after the ceremony" said the Chief preist. The queen broke into tears and ran away, the king sat down and was confused but his hands were tied, he didn't want to get into a fight with his wife or the chief priest.
The chief priest ordered for the ceremony to continue and to stop for no reason, Ada took the palm wine from her father and took it to the king, the king in return drank the palm wine and placed some money into the cup and went with his new bride to meet he chief priest. The chief priest blessed the 2 of them, made some incantations and joined their hands together, the king took his newly weeded wife by the hands, thanked his people and said goodbye to them. The kingmen along side some young ladies accompanied the king and his new wife to the palace, in the way the king was absent minded because he was thinking of what to tell his queen when he gets home.
They all arrived at the palace there was dancing and singing, as soon as the new bride stepped into the palace she saw queen sally standing there, the queen smiled at her and embraced her, this showed a sign of welcome.
