Once again, the satisfaction of checking his status quo washed over him. In his heart of hearts, he was certain he'd never get over the feeling. Things had been moving smoothly for him and unsurprisingly he had become a top cadet. The military tactics and finance lectures were his personal favorites but he performed better in the geographic field. On the physical side of things had finally gotten used to the first and second forms of Cestane's military spear art. During his training, he found much more inspiration from fighting than he did while training in solitary. Clearly, there was much to learn from others and he was still getting used to that. The most significant thing others taught him was that trust was a fickle thing and he wasn't ready to unlearn that just yet.

After the strange dream two months ago, Casimir didn't have another 'prophetic' interruption during his sleep. He did however finally manage to get a reign on his aura. What Eye of Solace had explained turned out to be sufficient enough for him to get an idea of what he had to do. He doubted that the strange Oracle explained everything he wanted to given they had Largely run out of time. Fortunately, all it took for someone as smart as Casimir, given enough time, was just a rough idea. In these most recent escapades, he had met with a Sergeant from the main military contingent under the guise that they had been impressed by his performance.

That did bode well for Casimir in the Short run however he was uncertain how that would affect him later down the line. But he would worry about that when the time came, right now his having attracted admiration from the higher-ups would serve well for him. Especially now that they would be beginning field assignments. Because they were in the military they didn't receive much news on the social aspects of the outside world however, just recently House of Wynn was said to have produced a genius of unparalleled nature.

Casimir didn't have much interest in politics and was very much aware this was just one of the many moves of the metaphorical games of chess on the political board that those in power play. That being said it did mean that said genius was about his age.

'Why does my mind get so active just before going to bed.'

With a frustrated sigh, Casimir pulled the sheets over his head. His inability to find rest meant it would be another long night.

'Maybe I should sing.'

And after what felt like an eternity, his eyelids finally felt heavy and he did not oppose them. He slept peacefully somewhat. The sun shone brightly through the morning sky, casting its glittering rays upon the in-military boy as he lay in his bed. The sun was rising much earlier now. He had been pondering on the upcoming field assignment in monster-infested lands, subjugation assignments. He felt a sensation of both excitement and fear at the thought of it.

Suddenly, he was jolted awake by a loud pounding on his door. Casimir was definitely pissed now. Not the ideal way to start his day but nowadays they rarely started well anyway. For whoever had knocked on the door's sake he hoped they were one of their officers routinely waking him up. He opened his eyes to find Oscar standing in the doorway, with a knowing smile. Casimir was convinced he knew what he was doing.

"I'm here to make sure you get up for morning physicals on time buddy."

Casimir groaned and rolled out of bed, rubbing his eyes and stretching his arms. He knew that he had to get up and start his physical exercise routine so there wasn't much complaint from his side however he would repay Oscar for his 'consideration'. He grabbed his training garb and put it on, tying it tight around his body and adjusting it on his shoulders.

He then went out into his courtyard and began the jog along their long and quiet trail. He saw some of his peers had already arrived, and the four of them worked out together, pushing each other to do more and go faster. After the jog they bid farewell to each other and went to shower, they would meet during breakfast.

The four of them walked into the dining hall and shared a hearty breakfast of eggs, toast, and bacon. As they ate, they discussed the upcoming mission in detail, going over the plan and ensuring that everyone knew what was expected of them. They also went over the necessary preparations they needed to make before the mission began.

They were aware that they would be combined with two more squads for their assignment so they did plan on the important stuff that required the whole group's attention but they did discuss their training and offered each other advice.
