Chapter 2

"Aria what's wrong?!" Tom rushed towards me as he saw me sweating all over. Something was wrong...More wrong than finding my mate. I wasn't able to focus as my legs trembled and were about to give up. Everyone rushed towards me. "I think she's shifting," I Heard Jayden say.

What now?! No...this can't be happening right now. Not in this place. Not like this. I thought to myself. Extreme pain shot through me as I tried controlling my screams. Just then I heard a husky male voice from behind, "Move" He said as he made his way towards me. It was him. The guy with blue eyes.

He made his way towards me and all I could think was how amazing he smelled, so sweet yet so different as if he was my favourite candy and I couldn't get enough of him. His sweet scent engulfed me.

He grabbed my hand and there it was the sparks, the tingling sensation but what's weirder was that the pain was gone. Not completely but it was less hurtful. "Hey what are you doing?" Tom shouted as 'My mate' held me in his arms. I was limp, completely limp on his arms as I wasn't able to move or utter a single word.

"Don't follow me. '' He said and ran towards the woods with me in his arms. I could hear my friends shouting from behind but they knew how dangerous my shifting could be after all everyone knew my dad's story.

I could hear his heart beating faster and faster as he ran with me in his arms. And stopped in the middle of nowhere. He slightly placed me in the wet grass as I groaned at the loss of his touch. He stared at my face with his blue eyes even more glistening in the moonlight.

I slightly moved my hands towards him and touched his face, As he shuddered at my touch. That means he felt it too, those sparks. Just then an extreme pain shot through my stomach and I couldn't help but cry out loud. My mate looked at me with worried eyes and held me in his arms again.

"It's fine. You should relax first" He said in his sweet husky tone. And I did what he said, I took a deep breath and relaxed in his arms. "Now try and accept who you are, Accept the power inside you and let it get in control," He said. I looked at him as he said all those. "Focus," He said again.

And I did exactly what he said. I focused on the power inside me, I let my body overflow with the power that was inside me and let it take control. I closed my eyes as my bones began to crack but it wasn't painful like before. I let my wolf take full control as my clothes shredded into pieces and I shifted into a big white wolf.

'Hello Arianna, My name is Kyle and I am your lycan' I heard my wolf say. 'And I am Lia,' I heard another voice. "Who? Lia?! How can I have 2 wolves? ``I asked.

'I am an ancient wolf and from your mother's genes. Don't worry, it is rarely possible to have two wolves but it sure does exist. My powers are mystical and you have to find them out yourself' I heard lia say.

' Don't worry Arianna, You Don't need this wolf as I am already enough for us to be stronger than anyone' Kyle said.

'Are you saying I am weak?' Lia followed.

"You both shut up" I shut them both in my mind as I focused on the surroundings.  Just then I saw 'My mate' caress my fur and I purred like a cat. It was embarrassing. "You're beautiful," he said And in return I licked him. He then started removing his clothes and shifted into his wolf form. I couldn't help but stare at how giant and beautiful his big black wolf was.

He then came near me and licked my ear. As Kyle purred inside my head at the touch and licked him back. 'Your wolf is beautiful' I heard a male voice inside my head. It was him- 'Call me Xander' He said.

'Xander...' I whispered and I think he must have heard it by the way he licked and nuzzled me again. ' What's your name beautiful?!' 'Ariana' I replied.

' Ariana. Such a beautiful name.  Would you like to go for a run?!' He asked and I nodded. He then ran towards the woods and I followed. It was amazing. It felt amazing the mud under my feet, the fresh air blowing my fur, the sweet scent and everything that made me alive.

After a while, Xander shifted back and wore his jeans. I looked at him in my wolf form. He must've known how I felt so he left his shift near me and went behind one of the trees. I shifted and wore his shirt and I couldn't help but breathe in his magnificent scent. 

"You can come out". I said and just then he came out. He stared at me from top to bottom and came close. I could hear my heart beating every passing second. "You're beautiful Ariana" He stated, As he slowly took a strand of my hair and placed it behind my ear. 

I couldn't help but relax at his touch as I yearned for more. "Who...are you?!" I wanted to know more about this mysterious mate of mine. But before he could answer. "Xander!" A loud voice came calling out his name. 

I could see him battling inside his thoughts. He must've been talking to that person as the guy didn't come closer to where we'd been. "You should go home. It's not safe out here" Xander spoke out. Staring deep into my eyes. I couldn't form words so I just nodded.

"Let's go. I'll take you home" He said as he took my hands and carried me bridal style. Again the sparks shot through my body. I was confused as to what he was doing but then he ran so fast. I never knew any normal wolf I have seen could do this. I bet it's one of his powers, I thought.

After a while, we were Infront of our house and he slowly placed me down on my feet. "Thank you'' I replied" Not wanting to part with him. He cupped my face with his large hands and left a gentle kiss. The kiss was gentle but it made me weak to my knees. It was so gentle, yet so different. Just like that, he had stolen my first kiss.

"Don't worry I'll come to get you soon?" He said just before I could say anything. He vanished.
