Chapter four:

I finally got Jeremiah's number. There is something about that boy that draws me in every time I see him. Sadly Eddy doesn't want me going out with Jeremiah for some odd reason, it's not like I told him not to go out with certain people. He acts to protective at times, well who can blame him I am his best friend. It is funny Eddy never really dated anyone before I have always wondered why. He isn't a bad guy he is very cute charming and respectful.

But anyways I stopped wondering in my thoughts and got ready for my date with Jeremiah tonight. I was going to wear my purple shirt that was a little long to were it looked like a dress. Then I put stretchy black yoga pants under. I wore my flat shoes and a little sweeter. I heard a knock on the door and I ran down with my curls bouncing up and down. I was happy and excited I couldn't stop smiling. He really makes me happy, just understand why eddy can't understand that.

"Come on in and meet my mom" I said opening the door. He smiled and walked with a single rose. My mother came in the hallway next to the door. And greeted him with a hug. She didn't need to introduce himself cause they had already met. She took a picture and she gave us another hug and was just so happy for me.

As we walked out Eddy was at my porch. He saw Jeremiah's hand collided with in mine, our big smiles. He stopped us and asked "what's going on?" "I'm taking Mrs. Moore on a date tonight" Jeremiah said opening his car door for me. He waved and started the car. "I call you later!" I said as we drove off.

•During Athena's date•

"Eddy come on in!" "You sure?" "It's not like ima beat you come in help me with Luka." Ellen said to eddy waving him in. "You seem shock and sad eddy why?" "It's Athena" I said as I grabbed a class of milk for the cookies Jesse had baked. "Why is that?" "Well I have feelings for her." "I know she knows everyone knows." "You do? She does?" "Yes....well she had you all her life and you guys particularly were raised brother and sister. She loves you a lot eddy. Me and her talked about it before. She wants to love you and she does. Don't get me wrong but she doesn't want to ruin the friendship. You don't need a relationship to be happy in life....only if David was here you two would be having a funny conversation." "Yes I miss him he was my second dad.....ha I remember when my freshman year with Athena he pretended to be our gay father with my dad just to embarrass us." "Yea that was funny the school called on that one." "Well I am going to do some homework." "Goodnight dear."

"Thank you so much Jeremiah." "You're welcome beautiful Athena" he replied kissing my hand, and spun me around to kiss me on the lips. He stared into my eyes and they turned a emerald red. He smiled and kissed me again. "I hope it's not too soon...but I got you this." Then he pulled out a box. It was a small slick matte black box. There was a necklace inside the box, it was dainty necklace with a heart not a big one just a prefect sized heart. I looked at it and smiled ever so big and hugged and kissed him. "May I put it on?" "Of course...I won't ever take it off." "Good." He smiled and opens the car door for me. We sang along in the car ride home and laughed and told jokes. He walked me to the door and hugged me goodbye.

*ring*ring* eddy? That right he wanted the details. I picked it up as I was cleaning the left over makeup after my shower. "Yes?" "So how was Romeo?" "Oh he was great. He bought me a necklace." "Oh I need to see!" "I'll show you it later. I need rest for school tomorrow goodnight." "Goodnight."

I tossed and turned in my sleep that night. My dream was wild as usual. I was in the woods. I could see myself and it looked like Jeremiah feeding me something and the wild wolf was there. "Shandor! No!" "I'll end the vampire kingdom for good by killing the Lunar maiden!" "No"Jeremiah said while he screaming and ran toward the wolf. Jeremiah threw him against the tree. "I'll kill maybe not now but soon. Your prophecy shall not come true!" "You'll leave her alone!!"...then I woke up to the alarm clock known as Luka. I went to check up on him. The light didn't turn on so used my phone flash light. I claimed down Luka and sang him a lullaby to see. Then I felt two hands around me and a body. I turned around and it was Jeremiah. He had fangs and emerald red eyes. "I killed shandor to protect our family Athena please forgive me!!" He said falling on his knees. I screamed and woke to my mom busting open my door. "What's wrong?!" "A n-ni-nightmare" I said out of breathe. "It's 5:46 get ready for school now!" She said closing the door.

I couldn't explain the dream it was very odd. I didn't know what to make out of it. I heard a beep and I know it was Jeremiah waiting to drive me to school. I rushed out the house forgetting my breakfast and a goodbye kiss for my mom. "So....my place tonight dinner? And I cook?" He asked with puppy dog eyes. "Of course" I replied staring into his deep crystal blue eyes.

The school do was out of the ordinary and I kept playing that dream over and over again...to the point I met up with eddy and Isabelle at lunch. I explained them to the dream up the laughed at me and claimed that I was going crazy. "You okay though right?" Isabelle asked "I just...don't know my episodes keep happening more frequently now.." as I was talking Jeremiah came up behind me and whispered "I can fix that" and kissed my shoulder. Eddy looked mad and walked away. Isabelle shrugged and followed him. "What's wrong sweet pea?" "I told you not to cal— " as I was talking Thomas grabbed and slapped my ass. Eddy seen it and just stood there but his face was red. Then Jeremiah grabbed him but his shirt, and pulled him off the ground. He slammed him against the wall and threaten him and punch him in the face. Then he walked away and said "I will not anyway harass you or hurt you in anyway as long as I am still breathing" as he grabbed my hand and kissed it. We got our lunch and Eddy and Isabelle linked back up with us. We ate in all silence till Isabelle said "did Athena tell you about her dream?" "No what is it about?" I hit Isabelle under the table, and replied "noting but you kept calling me the Lunar Maiden." "Oh..." he looked very concerned and scared as if I found out a horrible secret. "You know anything about it?" Eddy asked with a serious tone in his voice. "Not really, just in my old family journals." "Journals?" I asked with curiosity. "Yes my ancestors always wrote done their thoughts, memories, discoveries....ever since Columbus discovered this land." "That's Interesting tell me more." Isabelle demanded, cause she was a history geek. He continued on and about his family history and how they came from New England and they were the first settlers, and about how they were vampires and werewolves and how the werewolves served the dark lord. It was amazing how he seemed all into it, as if he believed it. I didn't prosy but I thought it was very interesting.

Later that day Bonnie the high school leader of the cheerleaders posted flyers for a bond fire tonight,; of course Eddy and Isabelle wanted to go they were suckers for those. I wanted to go, but social gatherings weren't my fancy. But Jeremiah insisted since I haven't really hung out with my friends in a while. It was a good time but I didn't like that it was in the woods, I felt the woods would consume be like when I was five. Anyways I pretending it didn't eat at me and I tried to have fun.

•Jeremiah's house•

*knock*knock*.... "I am coming" Jeremiah said running down the stairs. He opened the door to a tall slender man with shaggy messy hair and a twisted smile. "I saw your Lunar Maiden brother...my my she is a beauty. Too bad we wanna kill her to lift the curse." "Shandor! No....you promise our mother!" "Yea, but I ripped her heart out" he replied with a twisted evil smirk and twisting a knife in this hand. "You're not invited in!" "It's funny I prefer Alex now, and have you forgotten I'm a hybrid. By the way I don't have to be invited it's a vacant house no one lives here." He said stepping in. "I will move in with Zac!" "Do that and I'll still get to you."He said walking slowly up to Jeremiah. "What do you want?" "Your Lunar maidens blood of course." "You won't! You're my brother!" "Why not it's not like she'll fight me or even know anything about her destiny." "I'll tell her!" "Have fun." Then Alex disappeared like that.

I called Jeremiah I will admit it I was a little drunk. "Hey baby you. There is this weird guy with a English funny accent named Alex flirting with me." The funny thing was he immediately hung up and drove over. The Alex guy wanted to show me something but the foolish person I was, I followed. He pulled me to a stump and handed me a drink and said "us werewolves hate you, you know. Your prophecy is fucking worthless. You're a Lunar Maiden and I shall take every drop of blood from you!" He lunged at me then Jeremiah came out of no where and pounced on him. I couldn't do can't think I was dizzy from the drink he handed me. Jeremiah quickly checked up on me. Then Alex punched him and his eyes turned a emerald green and he started to grow black and white fur and sharped teeth. Jeremiah's turned emerald red and under his eyes became veiny. I seen them fight. I fell over and Jeremiah started a fire so everyone would leave. He picked me up and put me in the back of his car and drove off.

I woke up the next morning in a gigantic room. It looked as if it was Jeremiah's room, but I couldn't be sure. I was confused I didn't know what to do so I lied there and stared at the ceiling and seen stars engraved there were hundreds of them. I eventually brought myself to get out of bed and walked down stairs to find the kitchen to get water, my throat was dry as a desert. Jeremiah was making eggs and sausage. "I hope you didn't mind spending the night, your mom didn't mind you hit your head last night and I couldn't move cause I didn't have much gas in my car." "What happened last night?....my head is killing me!" I asked rubbing my head walking toward the sink. I bent down to get some water in my mouth and saw my reflection my eyes were emerald red I backed up into Jeremiah freaking out. He caught me as I backed up into him. He grabbed me and combed my hair back and whispered everything is going to be okay. He hugged me and he said "I'll explain my love, let's eat first." He sat be down in his kitchen table. I slowly ate, and kept thinking every possible reason my eyes would turn emerald red. I stared at him and he looked at me and he started to explain. "Well I am not actually 17 I am actually 245....I was turned by my older brother as a vampire before he broke the moon curse to become a hybrid. In 1773 he changed he after my little sister Rebecca killed herself rather than be queen of the thrown of our vampire coven. In a vampire coven the first girl gets handed the thrown. Sadly she did not fancy vampires so she hung herself. I was next in line, and Shandor did it like that. He threaten my Lunar Maiden which is you. Your ancestors were Lunar maidens it runs all through you Athena Moore. Lunar Maiden becomes the queen beside the vampire king. The day I laid eyes on you, the days in the woods when you were five. Your cute rosy cheeks. Your long brown hair. Your yellow rain boots and red jacket.....that night you know the truth was altered for my safety." "What?" "Yes, that day I was running from my hybrid brother whom wanted the throne and he was on my trail as I sought out a Lunar Maiden. He saw me interact with you. And found out you were the chosen one. So he attacked you and then I tried to kill her but you can't kill a hybrid. He killed you and I gave you my blood you awaken and you where marked with my blood. Shandor attacked your parents as well but they healed with my blood and I compelled everyone to forget. But I can make you remember...". "Please make me remember Jeremiah". I looked at him and held his hand.

He looked into my eyes and said "I allow you to remember Athena" and the memories rushed in and I remember every moment... he was right I did die but I came back. He saved my parents and my life.
