45. It’s Just a Surprise

Of all his encounters with the monsters, Evan felt this was the most anticlimactic. The threat is over. He saw Pieter who was unconscious being stretched and put into a car.

Not far from the young man, Loblob was standing, stretching out his hands. His eyes were bulging and his mouth was wide open. He clearly wanted to scream, but what came out of his mouth sounded like a whisper. It was because Evan complained to him who kept screaming for no apparent reason. Evan was so annoyed by that.

"Good job, mate." Suddenly, one of the special forces members greeted him and tapped him on the shoulder.

It doesn't stop there. The other members also took turns doing the same to him. Some of them even ruffled his hair and hugged him. All of this made Evan feel confused.

Finally, the squad leader squeezed Evan's shoulders and said, "Thanks to you, none of our members were injured, unlike the two previous incidents."

Evan lowered his head as the squad members moved away.

"But I didn't do anything." He whispered unintentionally.

"Is it true you didn't do anything?" Bob's voice appeared.

Evan turned to that sharp-eyed man, who had been standing beside him for some time.

The young man was silent for a moment, thinking. "Maybe I did something? I don't know. I did ask Loblob to take down the horned monster's pants. But, that's something so ridiculous. That should only happen in cheesy comedy movies. And I think Loblob can defeat that horned monster without that silly strategy. So, I feel like my contribution doesn't count."

"Did any of the spec ops members laugh?"

Evan looked at Bob again. The sharp-eyed man looked ahead. Evan could feel a cool aura from him.

"You heard it yourself, right? They are very grateful for what you did. They feel grateful to you who gave life to Loblob. Without Loblob, they might get hurt." Bob continued. "And maybe your strategy of lowering the monster's pants makes things more effective. Look, your partner wasn't hurt. The damage wasn't too much either. That's all to be grateful for."

Evan looked at Loblob who was still screaming silently. Without realizing it, Evan smiled faintly.

The young man couldn't deny it, his heart felt very good.

Some distance away, the squad members were sitting behind a truck. Their bodies trembled as they kept their laughter from being heard. Some of them even had tears in their eyes and squeezed their stomachs.

"I can't believe it all ended like that!" One of the members whispered.

"His ass is so ugly!"

"I want to see how it happened!"

The squad leader said while giggling, "I'll have the CCTV tapes. This is the funniest shit I've had in my years of service!"

One of Dovi's hands was holding the steaming bowl, while his other hand moved a spoon of soup to Lexi's mouth. The spider woman was lying on the bed with her body bandaged.

Instead of opening her mouth, Lexi looked fiercely at that man. "Are you crazy? It's still so hot! Look at the steam! You want my mouth to blister!?"

Sighing, Dovi took the spoon and blew on it. "Why are you so grumpy?"

Lexi looked away. She didn't know what happened to her own feelings. Why did she feel irritated after seeing Pieter's enormous male part?

"Okay, I won't ask further if you don't want to tell." Finally, Dovi managed to feed the soup into the spider lady's mouth. "By the way, how about my little brother?"

"I don't know." Lexi shrugged. "I've only seen him for a while so I don't get any meaningful impression... Hmmmm .... I'm just wondering, is his dick also as small as yours?"

Dovi snorted, he took a tissue to wipe Lexi's mouth which was slightly spilled with soup. "Why are you asking such insignificant things .... Aieeeeee!!!"

The man soared violently, sending the bowl in his hand flying. Because he was wearing fairly short pants, the soup in the bowl spilled directly onto his open thigh. He jumped up and down while screaming in a high voice like a monkey. "Hot! Hot! Hot!!!"

"How are you, Dovi?" It wasn't Lexi's voice. The spider woman was nowhere to be seen. Now, the person lying on the bed is a girl with total yellow eyes decorated with many patterns of thin black lines.

"Are you insane!? I did ask you to come here, but can you use the normal way, Olivia!?" Dovi snapped in a thunderous voice.

"What is your purpose for calling me? You want to ask something, Dovi?" Olivia turned to Dovi, seemingly not caring about the man's condition which was actually quite pathetic.

Still wiping his soup-stained thighs with a tissue, Dovi finally asked in an irritated tone, "You were the one who leaked information about Evan to the mafia, and also informed the authorities and me of Pieter's arrival, right?"

"I only did what was necessary," Olivia answered straightforwardly. "I'm just increasing the probability."

A chuckle escaped Dovi's mouth. "As usual, your talk is vague. Let me guess, you're not going to elaborate on 'what was necessary,' are you?"

Olivia faced the front. "As I said many times, I didn't go into detail because that would lower the probability of success. If the probability would be the same or better, I would definitely tell you more."

"Do you know?" Dovi folded his arms across his chest. His voice sounded so cynical. "An alien who has the ability to read future possibilities like you is so fucking annoying."

"Whatever you say." Olivia closed her eyes. "As I said earlier, I only do what is necessary. Bye."

After that, Olivia just disappeared, replaced by Lexi who now occupies the bed again. The spider woman was dumbfounded when she saw Dovi's clothes that were soaked with soup.

"What happened?" Now Lexi saw the broken bowl in the soup puddle on the floor.

Dovi cocked his lips and shrugged, then just walked away. "I'll clean this up first and make you some more soup."

"Hey, answer me first!"

Dovi just raised a hand and kept walking. On his way to retrieve the necessary items, the man continued to snort in annoyance. He was forbidden to tell Lexi about Olivia. Of course, Olivia did it on the grounds that the probability will decrease. This is very annoying for Dovi. After this, Lexi would have pressed him to explain exactly what had just happened.

However, Dovi didn't dare to rebel against Olivia. That alien woman clearly has godly power. Dovi doesn't want anything bad to happen to him and Lexi. Olivia's level was far above the mafia.
