"Huh!" - Naruto(2) exclaimed as his cheeks blushed after hearing the words of the girl in front of him.

It had been a normal day for Naruto, he had managed to talk to his mother (from another dimension), and finally, start to feel what a real family was. He was returning home so he could store his luggage because Kushina had told him he could stay with them at the Uzumaki mansion when he sensed Hinata's presence in the vicinity.

He greeted the girl normally, and to his surprise, she didn't run off this time. He found that odd but continued talking to her despite noticing how the poor girl was getting more and more embarrassed.

Naruto tried to say goodbye because he had something important to do, but Hinata seemed unwilling to budge, so she told him she would accompany him. This further puzzled Naruto, but after sensing that she had no bad intentions, he decided to accept her proposal.

Hinata was silent for a few seconds as if gathering the courage to say something. Naruto gave her a worried look, but his expression changed to one of utter embarrassment when he heard the girl's words.

"I like you, Naruto-kun! Do you want to be my boyfriend?!" - Hinata exclaimed with a red face as she felt like she was about to faint.

". . ." - Naruto went completely static when he heard this.

"Naruto-kun?" - Hinata asked as she looked worriedly at her romantic interest, only to notice how he seemed to be as stiff as a statue - "Are you okay?"

Hinata slowly walked over to Naruto, only to notice how he was falling to the ground unconscious with a completely red face.

"Naruto-kun!" - Hinata exclaimed in terror when she saw this as she ran to the blond to prevent him from hitting the ground.

"This turned out better than I thought it would" - Hinata(1) muttered with a smile after seeing how things had ended. She was happy that her counterpart had managed to reveal her feelings straightforwardly, and she also found the expression Naruto had after hearing the girl's confession amusing - "I guess this proves that he feels an interest in my other self, though I feel a bit strange that she has Naruto in her sights."

She was a bit confused about this whole situation, but after shaking her head, she decided that it was better to worry about other more important things, like Akatsuki for example - "Those idiots are about to make their first moves, and if they follow the same pattern as in our dimension, then they will go after Gaara-san first"

Hinata(1) was silent for a few seconds before disappearing from the place, but not before seeing how Hinata(2) was trying to get her romantic interest to react - "I guess Kushina-san will be happy to hear that my other self will become her son's girlfriend, god, it's so strange."

What Hinata(1) didn't know, was that she wasn't the only one who had seen all this, after all, she hadn't activated her Byakugan, and was paying full attention to what the Hinata of this dimension was doing.

"The Hyuga heiress made contact with the Kyubi's Jinchuriki" - muttered a Root while frowning behind his mask - "This is bad for us, I have to report it to Danzo-sama."

The Root Anbu quickly disappeared from the place without a second thought, after all, the Kyubi's Jinchuriki having a girlfriend blocked much of their plans to try to keep him in check.

"I guess it's time for us to leave," Itachi said as he noticed how Kisame nodded calmly, "If we don't contact our 'allies' in the next few minutes, they'll think we're dead, captured or that we betrayed them."

He had explained to Sasuke his whole story in great detail, as well as the fact that he was still loyal to Konoha and was just being an agent infiltrating Akatsuki to keep their movements visible.

"I agree, we should keep a low profile, at least until we manage to complete the mission you've given us" - Kisame said as he folded his arms - "Although this will be complicated with Zetsu keeping an eye on everything that happens in the different villages"

"Relax, I know about that thing's abilities, so I have ways to prevent him from finding out what happened here" - replied Kurama as he crossed his arms.

"Well, it was nice meeting you" - Kisame said as he walked away. He had already negotiated with Kurama about his reward after completing the mission, and honestly, he was pleased.

"It was good to see you again, mother" - Itachi said as he looked at Mikoto with conflicting emotions - "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to apologize, you did the right thing" - Mikoto replied as she stroked Itachi's hair. No matter how old he was, she would still be proud that he was her eldest son no matter what decisions he made.

"I always wanted to say it, I always wanted to apologize to you" - Itachi replied as a lone tear appeared on his face.

Kisame was surprised to see this, after all, he knew that Itachi was a cold block of ice, one that showed no emotion whatsoever.

Mikoto quickly hugged her son before placing her forehead on his - "Good luck, son."

"Thank you, mother" - Itachi murmured with a stoic expression. The tear had magically disappeared and now he was wearing his usual expression.

Sasuke watched this in silence, though it wasn't as if he was bothered by what he saw he was happy because this meant that he had his family back.

"What do you plan to do?" - Kurama asked as he looked at the youngest of the Uchiha brothers.

"Go back to Oto and kill Orochimaru" - replied Sasuke coolly, after all, he knew that bastard would come for his mother and younger sister, even though that would be a death sentence for the Renegade Sannin - "I want to do it with my own hands."

Sasuke deduced that Orochimaru was involved in all this, possibly to get DNA samples for his crazy experiments.

"I guess I'll have to train you with everything I've got, huh?" - Kurama said as a huge smile appeared on his face, one that made Sasuke shiver - "Relax, I don't plan on hurting you too much."

"Sasuke, don't worry" - said Mikoto as she saw how her eldest son had retreated along with his teammate - "Kurama-kun's training, it's wild, but effective, with just a few days you'll be able to realize about how strong you've become"

Sasuke was silent before nodding, anything was better than the training and experimentation he had endured in Oto.

"Oh, I forget" - Kurama said as he placed a talisman on Sasuke's neck - "With that, Orochimaru won't be able to detect what we're doing, he won't be able to influence your decisions either."

"He won't know that his influence is being blocked?" - Sasuke asked as he frowned.

"No, his level is not high enough to detect it" - replied Kurama calmly as a grim smile appeared on his face - "As a tidbit, I plan to destroy Orochimaru's soul when you finish your training, with that, there will be no risk of him managing to snatch your body away from you"

Sasuke again nodded as he thought about the dark fate that was slowly approaching the traitor Sannin.

"Good, we'll start tomorrow, now go get some rest" - Kurama said as he handed him a second scroll.

"What is this for?" - Sasuke asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"It's for you to manage to go unnoticed from the eyes of the Hyuga clan and the smell of the Inuzuka clan" - replied Kurama as he gave the young Uchiha an eye smile, one that reminded him of Kakashi - "You just have to put that talisman on his chest and activate the Henge, with that no one will be able to know it's you"

"Quite a useful object" - nodded Sasuke as he put it on his clothes and activated the transformation jutsu, taking a completely different appearance. Now he had dark brown hair combed into a ponytail, brown eyes, and was wearing a yellow yukata - "With this, I don't think anyone will manage to recognize me"

"Hmm, it's completely different from your normal self" - nodded Kurama as he saw Sasuke's new appearance - "You can use that appearance until I talk to Tsunade and explain the situation to her."

"Thank you" - muttered Sasuke as he prepared to leave, only to feel his mother's hand on his shoulder - "?"

"Where are you going, son?" - Mikoto asked as she shook her head - "You're going to stay with us, with your family."

Sasuke was silent for a few seconds as a surprised expression appeared on his face. He didn't know what to say, nor how to react in this situation, so he just nodded weakly, although inside he was happy about his mother's words, he wouldn't show it because he had a cold attitude to preserve.
