Chapter 5 The Love of life

"Do you have some water?" I asked

She didn't say anything but passed me a bottle of water.

"It's hottt.... just like you," I said smiling.

Now, I had left the PG and shifted to the accommodation provided by Red Hats.

I do miss the time, I and Darwin spent at Mrs. Skylier's PG. I miss the time spent with my best friend who left me without saying anything. Sometimes, I do visit Mrs. Skylier.

I tried to contact Van-da-Darwin but all in vain. Once I was traveling by city bus to Mrs. Skylier's house. I was accompanied by one of my colleagues. A beautiful, decent-looking girl was sitting next to our seat. I was getting attracted to her with all my senses. I decided to talk to her. I was searching for lots of ways how to talk to her.

I left my seat and sat beside her.

I made a fake call from my phone and said, "Yes I have reached here but not able to find your town. I have told the driver to tell me as Raleigh, arrives. Nobody is helping in your area. People are different here. Hello. Hello" and I pretended to hang up the phone.

I moved toward her. "Do you have some water?" I asked

She didn't say anything but passed me a bottle of water.

"It's hot.... just like you," I said smiling.

She showed no reaction.

"Listen, buddy, I am from Mozambique, South Africa, and came to Raleigh to attend the marriage of my friend. I came to the USA the first time and not able to find helpful people here. Moreover, I am finding difficulty in your language too. I don't know how I will reach Raleigh?" I said.

'You get down at city market, then take a cab, left side you will find Central Library, from there go right and you will reach Industrial area and you will be in Raleigh moreover you can use GPS too" she said in one breath.

'My phone is not catching any signal here and thanks for all this but how will I remember all that? Can you give me your number so that I can call u if I got struck?" I asked.

She said nothing and turned her face toward the window. She might be thinking that I may be a playboy or something.

'Why you speak less or have your Mumma said not to talk to strangers." I said nostalgically.

I was trying to start a dialogue with her but she was ignoring me.

"Are you Buddhist, Jain, Radhaswami who don't talk much and keeps themselves busy in chanting silently prayers?" I asked her

I started a conversation by telling my name and all about my native place and all.

"Hello! I am Noxa and a software engineer by profession" she said.

I was happy as she was also from the software side. The first resemblance between us. She gave me her email id and said if you want to contact me you can send me a mail. We came back by the same bus as we have gone 20 km extra behind Noxa.

"Sir, you are Bond, you got her number. You are so smart" my colleague said.

"Thnx buddy, I was unable to resist myself as she is white like the cream of the milk, her face cut is so beautiful, she has a sweet voice, she looked so hot in those back goggles additionally she is a pure-hearted girl as and helped me too," I said.

After coming back to my room, As I saw a wi-fi symbol on my cell. The first thing I did was an email to her.

'Hi, how are you?' I mailed her.

I was unable to sleep that night. I kept on thinking about her beautiful eyes, face voice. She was so lovable.

In the morning I received a mail from Noxa Nimms: have you reached your friend's house? How is the marriage function going on? Do you like USA marriages?'

I replied through email,' yes, I reached here. Thanks for your guidance. I liked the marriage here but getting bored here.'

Nimms: Why are you getting bored. Aren't you enjoying the marriage?

Me: I am enjoying it. But not many people are talking to me as they don't know me either do it and my friend is busy in his marriage ceremonies.

Nimms: at least you can go and talk to them. Don't be a dambo. Are you dambo?

Me: Thanx for giving me that name. DAMBO. so tell me about you? Where you have done your schooling and where u working right now?

Nimms: I did my schooling from the local schools and B tech from the Oxford University. Right now I am working with software institutions. And what about you?

Me: That's great. I am working with red hats and right now placed in Mozambique. Who all are in your family?

Nimms: father, mother sister, and a younger brother.

Me: So what does your boyfriend do?

Nimms: I don't like all that things.By the way how u came to know that I have a Bf.

Me: I know a beautiful girl like you can not be free.😄

Nimms: Very funny. What about you?

Me: Yes, I have a girlfriend. Her name is Celena.

Nimms: when are you going back to your country?

Me: Today is Wednesdays day. Next Tuesday I will go back.

Nimms: If you get time. Come to my home.

Me: Home. No no. I can't. But I will try.

Nimms: My mom will be very happy to see you. Come if you get time. I will send you my address.

I was missing my best buddy Darwin so that I can discuss all this with him and ask what to do. I listened to my internal soul and decided to visit her Next Monday. I took off from the office and wore my plain white shirt and denim jeans with a side bag. I was very excited to see Nimms again.
