Chapter 4 The Depart of Darwin

I was laying on the side of Cocoa beach. Basking in the Sun with a chilled beer in hand makes me on the top of the word. Darwin was swimming in the sea. The beautiful girls had covered the whole beach. In a pink swimming suit, a beautiful girl was coming straight towards me with a glass of plain water in her hand. She was walking like the flow of wind. She was like concentrated booze approaching me. I can feel the fragrance of Gin and Rosewater as she comes closer to me. I waved my hand and she threw the glass of water on my face.

"Get up sir, we are closing now," an Arnold body-shaped bouncer with an empty glass in his hand said. Darwin was standing near to me with his shirt spoiled with vomit and he was stinking like shit.

"It was you who threw water on my face?" I asked the bouncer.

"Yes sir, I am sorry for that." He replied in a very soft tone.

"If it was you then, it's ok." I was happy that the girl was in my dream only who threw water on my face.

We managed a cab and reached our PG. It's 2 in the morning. The cab dropped us, as he took a 'U' turn and blew a horn, the halogen light of Mrs. Skylier's courtyard shines like the sun at noon. She was waiting for us.

With the remote, she opened the main gate and said nothing except... "I want to see both of you on my breakfast table tomorrow morning at 10."

We both were holding each other, keeping fingers on our lips saying shhh! Shhh! Wents upstairs.

"My head is agonizing too much, Darwin can you make a Lemonade for me?

"My condition is the same as yours." Van- da- Darwin replied.

"Oh! It's 11 in the morning. Let's get up and meet Mrs. Skylier." Darwin said.

We took bath and in 10 minutes we were downstairs at the dining table. "What is the time Darwin?" Mrs. Skylier asked.

We both looked towards our wrist-watches and the towards each other than towards Mrs. Skylier.

"Who will explain to me what happened last night? If you were partying at least you should have given me a call, that you will be late. I waited till 11 pm and then closed the gate. Moreover, I was unable to sleep till you arrived." Mrs. Skylier said

"We are extremely embarrassed for last night, we were shortlisted for the Red Hats so we were just celebrating that," I replied.

"Oh! Congratulations, congratulations. I had forgotten that. I am sorry, then It's ok. I have nothing to ask you about yesterday. So, when you are giving me the treat." She said in a happy mood.

"Anytime Mrs. Skylier, anytime," we both said together.

"I will take a treat of your own money, once you get your payments then we will party big," Mrs. Skylier said.

Mrs.Skyier offered us a delicious Chinese breakfast and lemonade. Lemonade was the need of time. She doesn't say, but she understands everything.

It has been 3 days since our interview but Darwin still had not received any mail from Red Hats. My appointment letter was with me from the next day of the interview.

We decided to go to the Red Hats office.

At sharp 9 we were at the reception of our Office.

"Can you please check once again" I requested the receptionist a second time.

"Sorry, sir there is no Appointment letter in the name of Mr. Va-da-Darwin. You can check out the final list of the candidates on the main notice board too" She replied.

We checked the main notice board but Darwin's name was not there. I can see the brokenness on his face. He was very sad but calm. We came back to PG. I laid down on my bed and don't know when I fall asleep. I got up in the evening and searched for Darwin. He was not there. I called on his phone but it was switched off. I checked the bathroom, kitchen but he was not there. I went to Mrs. Skylier and asked her if she knew when Darwin was. She said, "don't you know he has left to his home. I thought you would be knowing that. He cleared his part of the rent. I asked him the reason but he said nothing." I tried his no. so many times but his no. was out of reach.
