Chapter 1: 2nd Awakening

Moonlight drifts through the open curtains, shining down on a small dust filled room, the sound of breathing can be heard. A boy, more of a young man, can be seen lying on a thin mattress, with pillows made of dried grass, with dirty wool stuffed inside, an obvious amateur job. The boy is seen lying next to a lady who seems to be in her mid-thirties, perhaps his mother.

The boy's breathing slowed down, as his two eyes opened slowly took a slow look around his room. His room, one of the two rooms in the entire house, is relatively small, roughly 8 feet by 6 feet. It fits one bed inside it, which he shares with his mother.

"My birthday, it's tomorrow, I wonder how it'll go," the boy murmured before slowly drifting off.

The night passed quickly, the sunlight rose higher as sweet warm sunlight drifted through the curtains.

"Sweety, wake up," the woman said before continuing, "it's your big day, I'd hate for you to be late." His eyes shot open taking a quick gaze around the room before focusing on his mother, and smiling excitedly.

"Yes mum," stopping when he noticed his mother's gaze on his body, "what's wrong?

"Did you regenerate your clothes last night," she said with slight worry, "Corban, I thought we went over this you have to keep your blessing hidden." She said before taking a look at his arm, where a scar used to be... it also regenerated. "I think your power has had its second awakening," she said before sighing, "I'll get the gloves and shoes... I could've sworn I had them in the box under the bed."

"I'll get them." He said as he got up but before he got off the bed his mother stopped him.

"Wait Corban, don't you remember last time... I'll get it just stay in bed." She spoke softly as she rose from their bed, before she started to glow a deep blue. The aura spread out around the room.

"It never gets old... still so cool." Corban mumbled under his breath. As he marvelled his mother's blessing, she inspected the room to find the boots and gloves.

*A quick look around the room later*

"I found the gloves," his mother walked through the doorway and approached Corban, "Now get them on and let's leave, we're wasting time." She said after waiting for him to get his gear on.

His dirty gloves shone for a few seconds before stopping, the gloves and boots were brand new.
