Chapter 2: A trip to the specialist

Corban looked around the familiar store, then it dawned on him that this is where he got his blessing classified. As an aura/restoration type blessed he was well received last time.

"Ah yes, you made an appointment before hand, yes?" The lady at the counter spoke cheerfully, "If so please tell us who with then wait in the waiting area."

"Ah okay, we had an appointment with Doctor Gray. My name is Cassandra," mother, now identified as Cassandra said.

"Ok, please wait while we inform Doctor Gray, as I recall he was looking forward to meeting you and Corban," the attendant said before walking around the corner and through a door, you can hear a door opening then closing.

She walked out shortly after, Corban and Cassandra were both sitting at the waiting area.

*Shortly after*

"Mrs. Cassandra," Dr. Gray called from the doorway. Corban and Cassandra walk into Dr. Gray's room, "so I hear Corban has finally became a man? Glad to hear it, so let's see how his blessing has evolved."

As he said that he redirected their vision to the side of the room where a small glass ball was sitting. "Ok, now place your hand on the ball Corban, it'll sync with the energy you'll emit, your blessing worked on skin contact, right?"

"Yes." Corban said as he took off his right glove and lightly rests it against the surface of the orb. It glows a deep green and emanates a slight refreshing aura, the air around the ball felt cleaner. But before the aura could be shown for too long, a faint heavenly aura could be felt.

"Ah!" Dr. Gray's voice sounded out, "you have a chosen one's mark... Asclepius' is the aura I'm feeling." He said as he sinks into deep thought, "yes, that must be it." He gathers his bearings before simply stating, "You Corban, are a chosen one, of a God of medicine. Your blessing should be able heal everything you touch, with your mark of Asclepius you should also have an inherent talent for medicine. This may or may not be useful depending on how effective you blessing is. I'm expecting great things from you in medicine, boy!" He sounded cheery near the end as if welcoming a fellow colleague.

The appointment quickly ended. Our young protagonist exited the building and started the walk home.

"Mum I'm thinking of going to the library to read up on blessings that are similar to mine, to see how they trained theirs. That way I'll be able to at least train myself." He states waiting for Cassandra's permission expectantly.

"Yes you can go, it's you're day after all.Be home by at least 5, don't be late foods going to be done. We're having your favourite, chicken stew." Mum lovingly says, as she walks off towards home.
