Chapter 17 - Captured. 

Just seeing us shooting bullets, those guys instantly escape in various directions. We don't know if their boss was with them, but I can tell Jack and I injured many people.

Jack and I quickly went toward the entrance. We can see the 2 dead persons outside the cave. Previously, I could kill these two people. The others instantly ran, so I wasn't able to shoot at them. Still, two people were dead. The person who got shot in his leg by Jack's bullet also wasn't here. He also probably escaped somehow.

"Well, they escaped. But I think now if they want to mess with us, then they need to think twice before taking action." I said to Jack, and we both came outside. We needed to check these two bodies.

I checked and found many things: a knife, a bottle of chloroform, a handkerchief, and also a rope. I think these two people wanted to kidnap us. Well, in the end, he got shot by me.

After throwing those two bodies from our cave, we came back. Those two dead bodies will attract many wild animals, and I don't want to attract them to our cave.

"I don't think those people will attack us today. I don't know why they didn't bring their guns, but they all escaped in various directions. We won't be able to find them. Well, let's sleep." I said to Jack. He nodded.

The next day, we left the cave early in the morning. Today, uncle Steven is much better and healthier than before. So, we decided to leave early. When he woke up today, I told him everything. He quickly agreed to leave this place. The previous day he took medicine because of this, he was unable to stay awake.

So, we left the cave, and once again began our journey. Probably some more days, then we will reach the Sathadal mountain.

"Devin, where do you think these tribes' people live?" Jack suddenly asked him.

"Well, you can say they usually live in the deep forest. They didn't want to meet outsiders. Because of this, they live in the deep forest." I said to him,

We are also in the deep forest. We can meet those people anytime, but that will be quite risky. I needed to think of a plan before facing them.

Now we are advancing through the forest. On this side, the forest is very deep and full of trees and brush. We advanced after cutting those small trees that prevented our way.

I can still walk, but look back and see that Jack is yawning. He no longer has the strength to walk. He needs a little rest after walking so much. I saw that Uncle Steven was a little tired. He is still not fully recovered, so he can't walk much either.

"You don't rest here for a while and I'm going a little further to see if I can find something for us to eat." Saying this, I went out from there. I can hear the sound of many birds around. If I just hunted one of them, then our present food problems will resolve.

I don't see any birds around. So I went further into the forest in search of this food. After a while, I was finally able to kill two birds, and now I am coming back. But when I went to the rating place, I saw no one. Where have they gone? But not knowing them, even our bags are gone.

Now, this is a very serious matter. After searching sometime later, I finally found many footsteps that weren't ours.

"How dare they?" It makes me very angry. Both Jack and uncle Steven were resting. How they attack them. It is probably those people that attacked us yesterday.

Now the main question, in which direction they went. Searching for some time, I finally found some clues. A shoe, I quickly went toward it and examined it. It is really Uncle Steven's shoes. I think he wanted to leave clues for me.

I began to walk in that direction. Uncle Steven was a soldier, so it was natural that he would have some immunity against chloroform. After advancing, I found one more clue. It is going to the left. Like this, I started to follow those clues and finally stopped advancing. Because Now I can see them. The rope and unconscious tied both uncle Steven and Jack up. The short-height person and all those people were there checking our bags.

I observed them carefully. All of them didn't have guns, and only 12 people had guns while the other people didn't. Those two 12 people watching over their surroundings while those others were busy searching our bags.

I just smile at seeing this scene. Because if he thinks that he will get the treasure map just by searching the bags, then they were wrong.

I need to think of something. A good plan to rescue Jack and uncle Steven. Suddenly I remembered about the Nimu Tribes. I think those people should be here somewhere. I can use them to rescue Jack and uncle Steven.

Previously, I read a thing about these Tribes' people. If they saw an outsider and the outsider began to run, seeing them. They will chase after the outsider. It will go like this until they can't find the outsider or they kill the outsider. So, planning to use this strategy to rescue Jack and uncle Steven.

Jack's POV:

I began to come back to consciousness. Previously when I and uncle Steven were resting, suddenly someone held a handkerchief to my mouth. I struggled, but in the end; I didn't know why, but I lost my consciousness.

I tried to move my body but was unable to do so.

"Oh… boy, you finally woke up." Suddenly, I heard the rough voice of someone. I instantly looked at him. This was the person, short of heights. He was the one who followed us. Also, I think he is the leader of this group.
