The Hollow Zone (Dropped)

A man dies due to a earthquake and gets transported to a place where he thinks is "another world." Here he discovers that his species of creatures in this new world gets stronger the more they hunt and eat creatures to the point where their physical and mental form are enhanced. A month in this new life he sees humans, discovering that he wasn't in a new world but in a area on earth that was revealed thanks to the earthquake. Will he turn on the humans leading swarms of creatures to attack them or will he side by them and help them in this new world. (Hi, this is the author as you probably can see this novel has been dropped due to a major reason that impacts this novel, I do not know much about animal biology. I'm keeping the chapters up so authors who wish to use my novel as a inspiration could do so.)

Week 3

"It has been three weeks since I began this new life and I must say these were the best three weeks of my life.

"I have finally located and marked all nearby territory of packs, herds, and hoards of all the nearby creatures. From the north of me there lives two packs/herds the thunder hooves and the Ice tooth.

"The thunder hooves look like wooly bison with large horns on the side of their head.

"The Thunder hooves are really chill creatures. They don't ever attack creatures and instead actually heal any wounded creatures that go near them by using their spit. The area they live in is surrounded by various flora and each of them gives certain properties such as calming ones nerves, Healing burn marks, and Healing infections. I know this due to me seeing several creatures come in contact with these types of flora and their wounds and marks disappearing after they digest the flora. These Flora are the main food source of the Thunder Hooves and so it would make sense that their saliva has Healing properties. I will also point out that even though they don't attack creatures, once attacked they can give any creature a hellish experience. Once I saw a Dipo, a creature that has the body that resembled a Hipo but had a head that resembled a lizard as well as skin of one, attack a Thunder Hooves out of starvation. The thunder hoove, being attacked, began to generate electricity in its hooves and soon an emp like blast emerged from its hooves and spread around it. When this blast hit the Dipo it was covered in electricity for minutes and when it disappeared its entire body was black as coal.

"The thunder hoove kicked the body away from the herd and soon many carnivores began crawling towards the body and before they ate it, they all looked at the thunder hoove that killed it. The thunder hoove just snorted and turned its head around and continued eating. When the Thunder Hoove snorted it was confirmation for the creatures to eat the body.

"While I'm still talking about the creatures eating the body, I just noticed that when a creature kills another creature for food and leaves the body of the creature. Other creatures will first look for the one who killed the creature and sort of "ask" if they are able to eat the body, if given a yes sign the creature is then allowed to eat it. If given a no sign the creatures will then just walk away and tell nearby creatures that they can't eat the body. I discovered this when I saw a Shrieker, a creature that had four bat like wings, a giant eye on the middle of its head, a tail that had a dagger like end to it, and had a white fur covering its body, kill a Dipo by using its loud screams to burst the Dipos ear drums and leading it towards a river. Even though it is similar to a Hipo, the Dipo is not a great swimmer and combine that with the river moving at a high pace, the Dipo was dragged by the water and crashed into nearby walls. When the body of the Dipo reached shore, I can say that it no longer looked like a Dipo. The Shrieker soon began to devour the body of the Dipo and out of nowhere a Hider jumped out of the river and crawled to the Dipos body.

"The Hider soon began making shrieking noises and the Shrieker began to make a shrieking noise as well. Soon the Hider and Shrieker began to eat the body of the Dipo, and after words began to growl and hiss at each other before leaving. They left the Dipos half-eaten body behind, and I didn't want to eat the body, so I just left it there."

Luke could be seen writing on the nearby walls of his caves. Ever since he decided to make a journal, he began to carve everything that had happened to him. Of course, living in a new life, he experienced, saw, felt, and smelled new things. This caused the walls in his room to be used up. Still wanting to write he began to use the walls of the entire cave.

Currently he is inside the right pathway of his cave and is writing on the wall of the cave. "I'm a bit hungry" Luke said as he stopped writing and walked to his room to eat the corpse of a Shrieker. He already had the body augmentation that he would have received when eating a corpse. The augment allowed him to make a shrieking noise that could destroy the eardrums of nearby creatures.

He had a tough fight with the Shrieker as it to destroy his eardrums, but after heading towards the thunder hooves and having saliva put into his ears, his eardrums were fixed within ten minutes.

"Back to writing" Luke said as he finished the body of the Shrieker and went back to the wall that he stopped writing on.

"The pack that also rules the north is the Ice tooth. They are serpents that are as big as trains and as long as rivers they live in a mountain call the Peak due to it being the biggest mountain around us. These creatures are one of the few who can injure me, and this is thanks to their Ice-covered teeth. These Ice tooth produce saliva at a fast pace and live in caves that are able to give a grown man that is wearing full winter gear hyperthermia within milliseconds. Due to this their saliva are always frozen, but these damn serpents are able to heat their mouths and are able to unfreeze their saliva. They can then move their saliva to their teeth and can stop producing saliva when they want to. They rarely come down for food since they have a long Digestion period and don't need that much water since they are just able to leave saliva in the cave and wait for it to freeze and when they are thirsty, they just rip it out of the walls of the cave and swallow it. Out of all the creatures these snakes are one of the most annoying to fight since they always stay in their caves.

"I was able to kill one of these dang creatures when it came down to hunt and boy was it annoying. These snakes are not only able to heat up their mouths at high temperatures, but they also keep the cold temperature even after leaving the cave. So, every time I bit this creature, I could feel my teeth freezing up and when I was far away from it, it will just open its mouth up and launch high temperatures breath at me. Thankfully I was able to trick it into using it on itself, this caused it to get rid of the cold temperature temporarily and allowed me to deal a fatal wound on it, that would soon kill thanks to blood loss.

"The body augment I got out of this snake was being able to lower my body temperature to match their body temperature. And I must say I was pissed because I wanted their heat mouth."

Luke stopped writing for a bit and bite of a chunk from at a nearby rock. He soon began to write again.

"In the east of my cave is the hoard of Blinders. I call them this because they are blind and only rely on hearing. They resemble a human due to their shape, but when you get closer you can tell they aren't due to their rock shaped skin, sharp claws, and their pointy ears. They are not tough to beat by themselves since they aren't physically strong, but when the horde comes then you're in trouble. I met these creatures when I was traveling across a desert, their main environment is the desert, and came across a bunch of weirdly shaped rocks. I thought nothing of it and continued walking forward trying to see if there is anything beyond the desert. I was about to return until I heard cracking noises coming from the rocks. And soon these rocks burst open and out came the hoard of Blinders.

"Oh, by the way when these guys sleep, their rock like skin continue growing around them until they are encased in rocks, and they will only wake up once they hear something walking near them and boy oh boy, I was in the center of this hoards sleeping time. I was able to make it put with a couple scratches and was able to bring a dead blinder with me. When I was far away from them, I began to eat the blinder and received a body augmentation that allowed me to be immune to a certain type of diseases. Though it wasn't great, it was still helpful.

"The south of my cave lives three creature packs the Hiders, the Shriekers, and the Stingers. The Hiders live one of the three ponds in the area and will jump from pond to pond if they aren't able to get enough food.

"The Shriekers live in a cave that is covered in some sort of salt, they don't come out of the cave unless they are hungry, and if they are they will send three to then Shriekers out to bring food for the pack.

"The Stingers live high up in trees and have multiple homes. The leaves they take out of trees are used to create huts of some sort in the trees that will protect them from the weather."

Luke soon stopped writing and looked around him as he felt something off. After a couple seconds he turned back around and continued to write.

"The west is the area where I will never head to unless I'm desperate for food due to the insane number of creatures and packs that live there. These are the main packs that I'm weary of due to how they act.

"The first are the drill heads these are worms that live in pits that have some sort of drills on their head that allow them to go deep into a creatures body and eat their insides. The reason I fear them is because they live in pits, they be big or small. If you find a big pit then it's easy to avoid, but a small one isn't. I once saw herd of thunder hooves be devoured by these worms due to them walking across the small pits. Thankfully it's easy to know where they live due to the mass number of bones that are around them.

"Next are the stalkers. These creatures live up in a tree I call, the death tree. It's easy to fins since it has various marks on its trunk. The stalkers look like a raptor, the dinosaur one, mixed with a wolf. Their head belongs to a wolf and legs belong to a woof, while their body, claws, and tail belong to a raptor. I fear this creature due to one reason and it's because of two things. One is the fact they are more intelligent than your average creatures and two is what they are capable of. You see the stalkers have feathers around their body, these feathers have sharp ends that are able to leave deep cuts into tree trunks if rubbed against and they know how to use them.

"I had a fight with a couple of stalkers when I was locating new creature packs around me, and boy was it terrifying. They were able to lead me to dead ends multiple times without me knowing and when I killed a lot of their members they would run away for a couple of seconds and come back with more than they originally had. I call them stalkers because once they have seen you, they will never stop hunting you. I was only able to get away from them when I ran into a nearby thunder hoove herd.

"When the Thunder Hooves saw them, they were instantly mad and began to chase them away. When the stalkers were gone some thunder hooves came up to me and put saliva on the cuts that the stalkers features were able to make.

"Third is the Dipo pack. They hang around a pond of water and will usually attack any creature they see that try to drink their water. I think the only reason why I fear them is because of their weight and jaw strength. The Dipo jaw is able to crush logs of wood in a single bite and their weight is close to one of an elephant.

"The last creature is the creature that all of us fear. I call them the Rulers. I call them this because they are the apex Predator of the area. They resemble a tyrannosaurus rex with their big body, the only difference is that their arms are not as small as the tyrannosaurus but in fact are longer and bigger. These guys are able to run on all fours and are able to reach creatures that are farther than them. Their head resembled a Komodo dragons head, and they have venom that are stronger than any creature I have ever seen. Their eyesight is able to see things miles away and their skin is tough enough to withstand any form of attacks from creatures.

"I have only seen three of these creatures in the west part and I believe there are more beyond us. Since I have long discovered that we are on a continent. I know this because I have seen a continent to the north of us when I was on The Peak. It was more lushes as our land and had more creatures on them. The only thing I fear is if our land will collide with one another. Recently I have seen more and more continents coming closer to ours at an alarming speed. I would say that we have about one more week until our lands collide with one another creating a Pangea of some sort. I only hope it doesn't do that much damage to us."

Luke stopped writing on the walls and soon walked to his room and fell asleep.

"How long will it take for us to drill down there" A man wearing a white coat said to a man wearing a suit. "About two days" the man in the suit said as he brought out his phone and gave it to the white coat man. "It is or I'll be the laughingstock of the science community" the white coat man said as he looked at the phone.

"Don't worry, once we reach the new land your name will be written in the history books" the man in the suit said. "We'll give you a call once our drill enters the new land" the man in the suit said as he walks away from the man in the white coat.

"Sigh* who knew the hollow earth theory is real" the man in the white coat said as he put the phone in his pocket and walked away.
