Will he turn on the humans leading swarms of creatures to attack them or will he side by them and help them in this new world. (Hi, this is the author as you probably can see this novel has been dropped due to a major reason that impacts this novel, I do not know much about animal biology. I'm keeping the chapters up so authors who wish to use my novel as a inspiration could do so.)

Adaption

A couple of days have passed since Luke had entered this new world. He had already accepted that he was in a new life and that he may never see any of his family again. So he focused on trying to survive in this new life of his and trying to know all the rules.

Currently Luke was up in a tree that was next to the river that he discovered on the first day. He was looking at a spot of the river very intensely.

Soon a creature came out of the river. The creature had a dorsal fin on its back, two forelegs that were covered in blue scales, a fish-like head that was similar to one of a piranha, and a serpentine tail.

The creature was what Luke was hunting.

A couple minutes ago Luke came by the river to drink some water and was going to originally return to his cave. But was suddenly attacked by this creature.

The creature lunged out of the water and was going in his direction at a fast speed. Luke was able to launch one of his spiked tails at the creature's gills. The creature angered slashed at Luke with its sharp claws and was able to cut his back, it wasn't deep enough to cause severe damage, but it was deep enough to cause him pain.

Upon hitting him, the creature returned to the water and hid. Luke, angered by the creature's sudden attack and his injury, climbed up a tree, thanks to his raptor-like claw and his two spiked tails that resembled raptor claws.

He, of course, covered the wound inflected to him with leaves that were able to slow down the bleeding. And he stayed up in the tree for what was like hours. For some reason, even though there was a sky, it never became night time so he didn't know if a one-day had passed or if a week had passed.

He didn't try counting the time, since it would slow down his hunting and sleeping time. Turns out in this new body, sleeping felt like heaven to hum. There was no feeling of being too warm or too cold, he was never uncomfortable, and the best part was that he never felt tired when he woke up.

So he took advantage of this and would take naps when he had nothing to do.

Of course, right now he couldn't take a nap, due to the creature he was hunting finally coming out of the river and was on land.

"Finally it's out," Luke said as he closed his brown and white eyes, only keeping both his red eyes open. Soon his vision changed from one of a regular view to one that was showing heat.

Two days ago he discovered that his three eye colors had different purposes. The red one would allow him to see heat, the brown one would allow him to see farther away, and the white one would help him in finding outlines by using echolocation. He discovered their purposes on accident when he accidentally closed his four front eyes and left his two white eyes open.

At first, he couldn't see anything, but when he took a step backward, out of shock at seeing nothing, a wave of outline appeared around him. Curious he took a step forward and soon an outline of everything around him appeared. He tested it out more and more and discovered he could see up to twelve meters.

He continued playing around with his eyes and familiarized himself with the different views until he got bored and stopped.

"Hmm that creature is giving heat at one point in its body, but not any other points," Luke said as he slowly began to climb down the tree that he was on. As he kept climbing down the tree, he saw how the single heat spot was now spreading around the creature's body.

When the creature's body was finally covered in heat it moved its head towards a tree and opened its mouth, showing rows of jagged teeth.

The heat in the creature's body quickly began moving towards the single point again before moving toward the creature's mouth. Once the heat reached the creature's mouth, a jet of boiling water shout out and hit the tree.

Once the creature finished shooting the boiling water the after effect was shown. The tree had a huge hole in its trunk and a charred spot in the center of the hole.

Luke stopped for a moment shocked at what the creature just did, but continued going down the tree at a steady pace. He already wasted a lot of his nap time just by waiting for the creature to come out of the water, and he would be darned to have wasted that time for nothing.

When the creature lowered its guard, Luke launched himself off the tree towards the creature. This action caused the chunk that Luke was on to make a big snapping sound.

Hearing something snap loudly, the creature looked around and when it looked behind itself the creature finally found Luke, who was inches away from the creature's neck. Luke opened his mouth wide, which caused his lower jaws to expand outwards, forming two mandibles.

Once the mandibles reached the creature's skin Luke slam his jaw shut. In an instant, the creature's head was smashed with a force that matched that of a moving truck.

"Hmm it's still alive," Luke said as he jumped back and looked at the creature. The creature had a dent on the right side of its head, two deep holes where the mandibles were, and one eye that was hanging out and somehow the creature was able to survive it.

Though it survived the attack, it still took the attack to its head.

"Cree" The creature made a sound as it tried to head back to the water, but was stumbling due to the shock that was inflicted on its head. Not wanting it to escape, Luke launched his two clawed tails toward the creature's leg.

"Creee!"

The creature made a sharp cry as the two tails stabbed into its elbow. Luke then jumped onto the creature's back and without hesitation bite into its head once again.

The creature's head soon collapsed on itself once the jaws made contact with its head. The creature lifeless body soon collapsed onto the ground and blood flowed out of the collapsed part of the head.

"Now what made this thing strong," Luke said as he began to devour the corpse of the creature. A few seconds later he felt a change in his body.

{Strong Bones}

Information soon flooded his head. The information told him what the new body part would do and how it operates.

{Strong Bones} allowed his bones to become bulkier and bigger, not by a lot that it would slow him down, but enough to protect his vital organs from attacks that would usually rupture them in one hit.

Luke dragged the body back into the cave where he was currently living. "It will be bothersome to bring food that might lure creatures to my home," Luke said and decided to leave it at the front of the cave. Luke soon began to walk to the deepest part of the cave, until he stopped in front of two pathways that lead deeper. Luke closed all his eyes, except for the white ones, and began to walk towards the pathway to the left of him.

Once he reached the end of the pathway did Luke opened all his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he saw a bundle of packed-up grass, and scratch marks on the wall.

"Might as well write about this day" Luke said as he walked up to a part of the wall that had no scratch marks on them.

"Day 7 of my life in this new world. It has been what I think is a week in this new life in this world. The only way I know this is because of some small birds that I call "Clock birds" that always fly to a waterfall every six hours. Don't know why they do this, it might be because of Predators, but they help me keep track of time.

"I have found three more new species in this world. The first I call the Nightmare Blob, I call it this due to this creature only being a black blob with several tentacles moving inside it that makes it look like it has a monstrous face. They float in the air as if they were a mini blimp. I met this creature when I was exploring the nearby land for any new source of food, but instead encountered about thirty or so of them. I tried to attack them and see what new body part I would get out of them, but when I got close to them they shot out a black sludge. I stopped in my tracks and when the black sludge hit the ground the nearby fauna began to wither away. So I did the next smart thing and ran away.

"The Second creature I met was called The Stingers. It was a giant insect that resembled a wasp and a bat. It had the wings and head of a bat and the body and stinger of a wasp, oh and it was the size of a car or so I think. I don't know its full height since I'm still a baby. I encountered this creature when I was walking around the nearby river, trying to find a good tree that would hide my body in, in case I was ever chased out of my home. Well, I found a hive of the creatures, and when I mean a hive, I mean a full-blown Hive. Hundreds of these creatures were taking a mouth full of leaves into their Hive. I was able to kill two of these creatures when they were far away from the Hive. When I devoured the first body, I was able to smell and hear things that no ordinary creature could. When I ate the second one, I got nothing. I think I'm only able to get body parts only once from a species.

"The third and final creature I met was called The Hiders. They were creatures that hid in the water for a long period and only came out either to empty the water that was built up in their body or if there is Potential food nearby. I met one of these creatures when it thought I was Potential food, but boy did it think wrong. I was able to kill it when it came up to empty the water built up in its body. Though it gave me a gash that wasn't deep enough to draw blood, which was rare since not many creatures can. In the end, I was able to get a new body augment from its corpse."

Luke finished writing his experience of today down and soon went to his handmade bed to sleep.
