A Quest For The F-Rank Loser

As the results of the Shōtotsu were finalized, Ryūsei discovered that although he dominated his opponent during the Shōtotsu, He was given the rank of F-Rank which was the lowest rank.

"Why??!! Ryūsei showed mastery of his Elemental Art and flawless skill in swordsmanship during the Shōtotsu!!!!! Why is he still F-Rank!!!" Kayosha angrily asked. It doesn't make sense that Ryūsei did well in the Shōtotsu but ended up with the lowest rank possible.

"Ryūsei Ryūgū's Elementalist Art is still a mystery and also the ray of light that happened in the Shōtotsu. And thus the higher-ups have no choice but to rank Ryūsei as an F-Rank." Prof. Hex calmly replied.

"I know how much you would like to complain but the higher-ups have already made their decision" Prof. Hex calmly said as he scratched his head.

With all the fuss going on Ryūsei knew he had to do something "Kayosha it's okay really, I don't mind being ranked that way" Ryūsei happily said, he tried to calm down Kayosha.

"Now since everyone knows their perspective rank, I'll be announcing the Chīma." Prof. Hex announced and the whole class then began to celebrate.

A Shōtotsu is a test where each Elementalist shall be given a perspective rank from S-Rank up to F-Rank depending on their results. 

Then they'll be paired up with an Elementalist with the same rank or higher to their perspective rank and both of them will be known as a Chīma. 

"Silence you Maggots!!!!" Prof. Hex shouted and the students then immediately sat down.

"I'll be announcing the Chīmas so you better listen up" Prof. Hex then began announcing the Chīmas.

As Prof. Hex continues to announce the Chīmas, Kasai manages to be paired with a young girl named Sora Kūki and Kayosha is paired with Ryūsei's elder sister Yuki.

As Prof. Hex announces the Chīmas he was then suddenly by Kayosha

"Um sir, Yuki has been through a lot of quests before and I'm just about to start mine. What happened to her Chīma???" She asked as she was confused that Yuki, A High rank Elementalist was paired with her.

"Yuki Ryūgū was a special case. She aced her Shōtotsu and none of the Elementalist in her batch would be a suitable Chīma for her." Prof. Hex replied but before Kayosha could reply to Prof. Hex he then suddenly said something that shocked Ryūsei.

"And speaking of special cases Ryūsei Ryūgū, Like your sister before you'll also be a special case." 

As Prof.Hex finishes announcing the remaining Chīmas, He dismisses the class afterwards and Ryūsei, Kayosha then headed to the cafeteria.

(At The Cafeteria)

When Ryūsei and Kayosha headed to the cafeteria they met up with Yuki, Shizen and Shadow. They ordered their food and sat down at the table.

Shizen: "So, I heard you guys got your Chīma already." He proclaimed, looking at both Kayosha and Ryūsei.

Kayosha: "Yeah we did" She replied but Ryūsei was feeling down and he didn't reply.

Yuki notices that Ryūsei was feeling down and she thought that there might be something troubling Ryūsei.

Yuki: "So who did you get Ryūsei???" Yuki curiously asked, she was concerned about her hunch so she decided to take action.

Ryūsei: "I'm a special case....." Ryūsei immediately replied.

Yuki: "Well you'll find your Chīma soon enough." Yuki happily proclaimed. She then tries to cheer up Ryūsei but she is then interrupted by Shadow.

Shadow: "Well, I'm just glad they've finally found someone who can handle Yuki's ability." Shadow proclaimed as he teases Yuki.

Kayosha: "Ability???" Kayosha confusingly asked.

Shizen: "Prof. Hex didn't tell you??? There are 2 reasons why Yuki didn't have a Chīma until just now." Shizen replied. He then tells them why Yuki still hasn't had a single Chīma until today.

Shizen: "First was because of her excellence in the Shōtotsu, She's the youngest B-Rank Elementalist in the Junior division back then and there was no one who was near her level back then." He proclaimed.

Ryūsei: "What's the other reason???" Ryūsei curiously asks but he then notices Yuki suddenly gets a little bit embarrassed.

Shizen: "Yuki's ability "Frost Moon", She can freeze and change the temperature of the entire surroundings. This ability is especially dangerous when Yuki can't control her emotions."  Shizen replied.

Ryūsei: "Has that ever happened before????" He curiously asked. Yuki on the other hand leaned on Shadow's shoulder and she then shouted "Shizen you meanie!!!" with a cute face.

Shadow: "When we were on a date, I scared her and she accidentally froze the entire park." Shadow replied, he then teases Yuki.

Shizen: "It literally took us weeks just to fix it all." Shizen replied, He then looks at  Yuki with an expressionless face.

Yuki: "It was your fault for scaring me Shadow!!!!" Yuki shouted as she's all embarrassed.

Both Shizen and Shadow continually tease Yuki, Yuki decided to ask Kayosha to change the subject.

Yuki: "So Kayosha, who's your Chīma??" Yuki asked as she changed the subject.

Kayosha: "It's you Yuki..." Kayosha replied and Yuki was more shocked as she knew she'll get teased more.

Shadow: "Woah, Seriously??!! Yuki try not to freeze Kayosha okay!!!" Shadow asks as he then teases Yuki some more.

Shizen: "Just be careful and never let your guard down." Shizen proclaimed as he gave some advice to Kayosha.

Yuki: "I can control my emotions....." Yuki embarrassedly pouted as she looked away at both of them angrily while making a cute face.

Yuki: "Oh, Don't be like that babe" Shadow replied as he teased Yuki some more.

Yuki: "Don't talk to me" Yuki angrily pouted as she looked away at Shadow making a cute face.

Shizen: "By the way Ryūsei, Where's Kasai??" Shizen curiously asked, he just noticed that Kasai was not here.

Ryūsei: "He's with his partner right now getting a quest from the Chīma Center." Ryūsei replied.

The Chīma Center is a place where Elementalist can go and collect quests and set off on a journey to complete the quest and get massive rewards.

Shadow: "So who's Kasai's partner anyway???" Shadow curiously asked.

Ryūsei: "Sora Kūki" Ryūsei replied. Shizen,Yuki and Shadow were shocked that Kasai was paired with his childhood crush.

Kayosha: "Um....Yuki, Is it alright with you... I'd like to take a little quest later." Kayosha stuttered as she tried to ask Yuki, unfortunately she was a little bit shy.

Yuki: "Sure!!! I loved to go on a quest, To tell you the truth.... I've been itching to go on a quest for weeks but I couldn't go out until today." Yuki happily proclaimed.

Ryūsei: "Why???" Ryūsei curiously asked.

Yuki: "I don't wanna talk about it....." Yuki embarrassedly replied as she looked away all embarrassed.

Shizen: "Paperwork-" Shizen quickly proclaimed before Yuki interrupted him by pinching his cheeks and she then shouted "No!!!!!!!!!".

Ryūsei: "Paperwork??" Ryūsei confusedly asked.

Well you see a couple of weeks ago Yuki was sent to the Village of Yohei in order to stop a Sea Witch who was terrorizing the locals near the lake.

Once she arrived at the village she immediately fought the Sea Witch. She defeated the Sea Witch but froze the entire lake in the process.

Shizen: "The entire lake was frozen for 2 weeks. She had to do a lot of paperwork after that." Shizen proclaimed and all of them then laughed.

Ryūsei: "Maybe I'll go to the Chīma Center later after lunch." Ryūsei happily thought.

After lunch Ryūsei then heads off to the Chīma Center alone while Yuki, Shizen and Shadow remain behind due to a council meeting. While Kayosha remained behind to wait for Yuki.

(At the Chīma Center)

Ryūsei was new to the Chīma Center; he was amazed at how many Elementalist were present inside.

Ryūsei continues to be amazed when he suddenly hears someone call out his name and he then turns around seeing Kasai along with his Chīma, Sora Kūki. 

Ryūsei: "I see you've been spending time with your girlfriend-" Ryūsei teased Kasai before he was interrupted when Kasai hit Ryūsei on the head.

Kasai: "Will you be quiet!!!" Kasai proclaimed as his face was all red and Ryūsei and Kasai then looked at Sora, seeing her laugh.

Sora: "It's nice to meet you Ryūsei, I'm Sora Kūki." Sora happily greeted as she happily introduced herself to Ryūsei.

Ryūsei: "Nice to meet you Sora, Please take care of Kasai okay." Ryūsei replies as he then teases Kasai some more.

Sora: "Sure!!!" Sora happily replied and Kasai's face immediately turned red.

Ryūsei: "Is someone blushing??" Ryūsei teasingly asks as he looks at Kasai with a smirk on his face.

Kasai: "Shut up.... Aren't you supposed to be taking a quest" Kasai replied as his face was all red and Sora continued to giggle.

Sora: "Well Ryūsei, Just head over to the desk and claim a quest and you'll be set to go" Sora happily proclaimed.

Ryūsei then heads towards the desk and there she sees a young girl with pink hair, white eyes and a white cloak around herself.

"Hi, I'm Yukino Ashigaki. I'm the assistant manager at Chīma Center." The young girl happily as she introduces herself.

Ryūsei: "Hello Yukino, I would like to take a little quest please." Ryūsei happily asked.

Yukino: "Just tell me your name, Start with your last name." Yukino replied.

Ryūsei:;"It's Ryūgū-" Ryūsei replied before suddenly being interrupted by Yukino.

Yukino: "I see, You're a Ryūgū as well"  Yukino asked and Ryūsei just nodded suddenly Yukino then took out a green scroll under the desk.

A couple days ago a quest was sent here from the village of Yohei. It turns out that a couple of Elementalist have disappeared lately. And they want you to investigate.

Ryūsei then takes the quest and Yukino then hands over the scroll containing the quest and heads off.

Ryūsei: "Thank you, I'll be going now" He happily proclaimed. Ryūsei then leaves the Chīma Center and after a while Yuki, Kayosha, Shizen and Shadow enter inside the Chīma Center.

Yukino and Yuki then greeted each other and then hugged, Shizen then looked at Shadow and he then laughed as he saw Shadow getting a little jealous.

Shizen: "Anyway, Yukino, I'm here to take the quest." Shizen proclaimed. Yukino then politely asked her which quest he was referring to.

Shizen: "The one that was assigned to Mr. Ryūgū, You got the quest a couple of days ago." Shizen replied. Yukino was shocked as she realized she made a huge mistake.

Yukino: "Oh no!!!!, I already gave the quest!!!! To a Ryūgū." Yukino proclaimed.

Shizen was then shocked and he then went outside along with Yuki, Shadow and Kayosha headed outside the Chīma Center.

They quickly realized who the Ryūgū Yukino was referring to and it was none other than Ryūsei. Shizen then began to panic as he knew Ryūsei was in danger. Shadow then asked why was he's so worried as it's just a plain old quest.

Shizen: "It's not just a plain old quest..." Shizen worriedly replied.

That's why I requested assistance from Yuki and Kayosha because if it's just the two of us... We would be killed in the quest.

With Shizen revealing the danger of the quest Kayosha then got worried. Ryūsei accidentally took an... A-Rank quest that was supposed to be assigned to Shizen.

With Ryūsei accidentally taking an A-Rank quest but there is actually more to this A-Rank quest than it's supposed to be.

A couple days ago I received an urgent message about a quest that was sent here from the village of Yohei. It turns out that a couple of Elementalist have disappeared lately and they want me to investigate.

Shadow: "Do you think it's another demon?" Shadow curiously asked.

Shizen: "That's what I thought at first... Yuki, Remember the last quest where you fought the Sea Witch." Shizen asked Yuki.

Yuki: "Yeah, I froze that sassy girl's body to the point where her body turned to ice but that scoundrel gave me a lot of paperwork after that." Yuki replied with an annoyed look on her face.

Ryūsei's quest and the Sea Witch quest are connected somehow. The Village Of Yohei was first terrorized by a Sea Witch then a couple of days later after the Sea Witch defeated Elementalist then suddenly started to disappear.

I began to investigate ahead of time to know what we're dealing with.

Through my investigation I discovered the true reason why a couple of Elementalist are disappearing from the Village Of Yohei... It's because of....a Necromancer.
