Narva

Narva, the city of forgotten dreams that were buried by heaps upon heaps of snow. This was the place the bottom of the barrel from the military was deployed. It was common knowledge in military academies that the lowest scoring troops would always get sent to the worst possible frontiers. This was of course used as leverage to encourage trainees into learning and trying their hardest.

The truth about Narva was that it was a forgotten city. Local development was nearly impossible, which was why it had only found solace in being a militaristic and hunting city. The numbers of the city were only twenty thousand.

Narva wasn't the northernmost point of the continent at all, but for unknown reasons, the winter was considerably harsher there. Snow fell nearly every month, and it hailed for those where it didn't. Even monsters feared as being ferocious were afraid of moving when the season was especially cold.
