7 Chapter 7

Reading through the long section on the types of Magic, I was relatively surprised by the wide variety of options available to me.

In the end, after thinking about it, I decided to go with the seemingly better option than the others, Tier Magic.

Fliping to the page on Tier Magic, I began reading through the page on Tier Magic before nodding in understanding.

With the book in hand, I walked over to the door of my office and exited the office, instantly finding myself back in my home and after walking over to my clock, I realized that it was 2:00 AM!

Shaking my head, I realized that I may have gotten a little distracted and did not realize how much time has passed since I entered my office...

Placing the book on my nightstand next to my bed, I decided to get some rest for the night and will continue in the morning.

...

[December 3rd, 2008, 3 months until Tony Stark is Kidnapped]

Walking up from early in the morning with only a few hours of sleep, I sigh before climbing out from bed and shivering from the cold, damn, forgot to turn on the heater.

I guess that's what happens when you live up in the north.

I grew up in Texas in both of my lives, and still prefer the cold over the damnable heat that I have grown to hate, especially in the summer where it can get as bad as over 100 degrees Fahrenheit(37.7 C)!

After taking a warm shower and putting on some fresh warm clothes along with my coat, I walked outside my small abode and walking over into an empty part of the forest that was in my land.

Finding a good spot to sit in a clearing, I sat down into a lotus position(the common and most seen meditation pose) and took in a deep breath, letting my mind and body calm down as I entered a peaceful and calm state of mind.

Following the steps within the guide on gathering mana, I took deep breaths in a specific pattern as I focused on staying calm and still.

If my eyes were to be opened then I would have seen blue threads of mana condense into the air before flowing into my chest causing me a warm and comforting feeling which I knew that it meant that I was gathering mana correctly.

As the Mana gathered and condensed inside my body, I stopped once 30 minutes passed by.

Going back to my small home, I walked into my room where I grabbed the Grimoire and flipped to the page on the Tier Magic Spells.

I first started with reading through Tier-0 Magic before reading over one of the simple spells.

Grabbing a cloth, I held it in my left hand and hovered my right hand over it as I chanted.

"[Warm]"

Watching as my hand glowed in dim orange light, I felt as the piece of cloth in my hand slowly warmed up, and it did not warm up by much...

After a few minutes passed by, I finally ran out of Mana and the cloth was hot enough that I had to put it down.

Another downside to this spell was that I either needed to be touching the object or needed to be very close, so close that there was only a 2-inch space between me and the cloth before the spell would no longer affect the cloth.

Taking in deep breaths, I let the mana I emptied from my body recover naturally, which was quite useful seeing as I wouldn't need to enter a meditative state every time I emptied my body of magic and only needed to wait a short while for my Mana to recover.

Although if I wanted to get more Mana then I would have to get in a meditative state and start gathering more mana.

I would need to gather a bit more mana before I can even cast a Tier-1 Spell, and I wouldn't even be considered a Tier-1 Mage until I am able to cast 5 Tier-1 Spells within a short amount of time.

After I recovered my mana I did some light exercises before entering my office and placing the Grimoire back on the shelf before walking over to my desk.

It seems I have gotten some new players while I was occupied.

Opening my status, I found that I had 210 points, meaning that all of them have played at least one game, or the players have at least put in an hour on the game.

With all of the new points I got, I continued to buy more NPCs and got 14 more NPCs for the game, making my NPC count 81 NPCs.

And with the players, a game could have 88 contestants at one time, things were progressing quite well.
