55. Shirogana's return

The next 2 days went by normally. Rei continued to play with the siblings daily to get a hang of it once again. He now can play normally again without missing any throws. Waking up on Sunday, Rei went for his usual jog and took a bath.

Shirogana was not gonna come until lunch but he was still excited to learn about being a catcher again. Sitting for breakfast he asked Narumi, "When is Oji-san coming, Oba-san."

Hearing him Narumi let out a chuckle and answered, "This is the 5th time, Rei he is gonna come by lunch."

Rei asked her 4 times and got the same answer but couldn't help to ask again. He ate his breakfast thinking about it and Narumi smiled seeing him. After he was done he went to his room and got changed to go play outside.

He and the siblings played every day to help him get better. The three made their way towards the park talking about the training after Shirogana will come. Reaching the park they went towards their usual place and started playing.

It was mainly Meiko who threw the ball towards Sora and Rei for them to catch. She threw the ball in tough places for them to catch. Playing with them was very tough for Rei but he couldn't stop and continued gritting his teeth.

After playing for 2 hours all of them came back home. Meiko turned towards Rei and said, " You are learning very quickly Rei. At this pace, you will catch up in no time."

Rei could only nod and go towards the hall. Reaching there they saw Narumi talking with Shirogana. Shirogana turned towards them and smiled. All three of them ran towards him and Sora asked, "When did you back Otou-san?"

"I came just now. I started early in the morning to come quickly." brining all three into a hug.

He continued, "So how have you three been."

This time it was Meiko who answered, "We have been good Otou-san. Do you know that Rei can play again."

Shirogana smiled and turned towards Rei who was looking towards Shirogana with a bright smile plastered on his face. Shirogana moved his hand, patting Rei, and asked, " That is great Rei. Now you can play with everyone again."

Rei nodded energetically and asked with anticipation, "So can we start practicing today."

Instead of Shirogana, Narumi said, "Yes Rei you can start training from tomorrow. Let Shirogana rest today. Now all of you go and take a bath."

Rei could only nod and go to get fresh with Sora and Meiko. Taking baths in turns all of them came back and sat on the dining table. Meiko went to help Narumi bring the dishes to the table.

Sora then asked Shirogana, "So what have you planned for Rei, Otou-san." making Rei also listen for his answer with the same anticipation as Sora.

Shirogana placed a finger on his lips and whispered, "That is a secret you guys will get to know tomorrow. So for now stay put."

Hearing him Sora and Rei could only slump on their seats and stay quiet. Narumi and Meiko set all the dishes on the table and everyone started to eat. After eating all of them went towards the hall except Shidou who went back to his room to rest.

All of them sat and started to watch a movie on the television. No one talked as they watched the movie. It was about an alien invasion and the survival of a family. It was interesting because the family struggled and lived at the end. It gave out a good feeling for them seeing how the family stuck together during the harsh times.

By the time the movie ended the sun was already going down. Narumi stood up to go start cooking but Shiroganas stopped her and said, "We will go out and have a celebration for Rei's recovery. Tell father too." remembering they didn't celebrate yet.

Narumi nodded and went to tell Shidou about it. Meiko immediately asked, "Where are we going to go?"

Shirogana simply said, "It is Rei's celebration so we will go to an Italian restaurant."

Meiko didn't reply and nodded. All of them went to their rooms to change clothes as they were going out. Coming out of his room Rei went and sat in the hall waiting for everyone to get ready. Slowly one by one everyone came dressed.

After some time they went into the big car enough to fit all of them and went towards the restaurant. Everyone ate happily talking and joking around with each other.

Done with dinner all of them came back home and the siblings went towards their room to sleep. Rei wanted to talk with Shirogana so he followed Shirogana and Narumi towards the hall.

Sitting down, Shirogana asked Rei, "What do you want to talk about, Rei."

Rei looked at both of them and asked, "Oji-san I want to go back to Tokyo and visit Otou-san's grave once."

Shirogana felt confused, "Why? What happened Rei?"

"I want to visit and tell about everything to Otou-san. I want to tell him I overcame the hurdle and am now able to play baseball again Oji-san."

Shirogana nodded and replied, "Ok we will go before summer ends and come back."

Rei nodded and went back to his room to sleep. He couldn't sleep yet or talk with his friends as they were not online, So he sat on the chair and started to do some homework. This was very simple for Rei. He completed a major portion of his homework and felt satisfied.

He laid on his bed and tried to sleep. He couldn't sleep due to the excitement of starting his training tomorrow. His thoughts only wondered around the idea of him training and playing baseball.

He was finally able to sleep after some time containing his excitement to a minimum.
