Chapter 3: The Dark System Part 1
"What dark system?" Alex asked, intrigued.
"All I can tell you is that for you, it's power like you wouldn't be able to imagine. There are many benefits, but like everything, there are also disadvantages. That is all I will say for. there is a condition that must be met if you want to be recognized by the dark system." Star explained cheekily.
"What condition? Are you still trying to take advantage of me again?" Alex asked in disbelief.
"No, no, no, I am not trying to take advantage of you; the contract ties our souls, so there is no need to. The condition to receive the cursed bloodline and be acknowledged by the dark system is that you must have some of my blood within you."
'And the blood of my great grandfather,' Vigerřamous thought.
"Once my blood is in your body, you will no longer be human but a Demi-god and my son. This would be the first step to helping me alter the prophecies," Vigerřamous replied while laughing like a maniac.
"But I must tell you there is no guarantee that you will have access to the system. What you might receive is brute strength but either way it's better than how you are now."
"Wouldnt that tie me to you forever?" Alex contested
"It's your choice? but without power, you are fated to die here," Vigerřamous replied effortlessly.
"Ok. Let's get this over with so I can purge those people and these memories," Alex replied. He had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Star summoned a ripple in front of Alex and pulled a tube full of blood out of his dimensional inventory. Alex took the tube, eyeing it for a few seconds before questioning the content.
"Is this blood?" Alex asked while looking at the black substance bubbling within the tube.
"Don't chicken out now!" Star commented.
Releasing a huge breath, Alex cocked back his head and swallowed the blood tube without hesitation. at the same time, reminding himself consistently not to allow his tongue to taste it as he ingested it. Alex could feel the power coursing through his body as his strength rose.
He was four times stronger than he was back on earth.
Five times....
Six times...
Seven times...
Eight....
Nine...
Finally, his strength stopped rising; Alex was now ten times stronger than he was on earth.
"is that it?" he asked unsurely.
"What else did you expect, pain? Hahaha, you won't feel any pain until your body starts to develop. Now that you are cursed!"
"What?" Alex asked.
Star ignored the question and replied," you should be able to access the dark system. Nom need to worry, arent we linked? No need to say system out loud; think about it, and a screen will appear that only you and I can see." Star explained.
'system,' Alex thought in his head.
Suddenly, a black screen popped up in front of him.
The following words kept flashing as if the system was broken

"What are sin points?"
"Sin is the inverse of chaos. Sin, as it is called, is a corrupt form of energy derived from malice and created from nothing. It will allow you to continue to become stronger. The system lists it as points to show you how much you will need to get to increase your level. Sin is collected from whatever you kill. Then it's converted to a strand of chaos which will be used to nourish your body and increase your level."
"For now, as you gain experience, the remaining power in the blood tube will increase your level until you have surpassed level 10. After that, you will have to rely on sin."
At this moment, you can use sin points as a currency to purchase items from the system store. The system store is our family inventory. If there is something that they don't want, they will be pleased in the store and exchange it for sin points. sin points are beneficial to everyone that has the same bloodline as you. " Star answered with a hint of expectation in his voice.
"Why are my elemental affinity space and dark?" Alex asked.
"The primary affinity you have with space is because of your elusive nature. As for your affinity with darkness, our family's blood has a long-standing elemental affinity with darkness. I also have a dark and space elemental affinity; my brother had darkness and light." Star answered Alex's first question.
"An ability is a unique power that all gods and some Demi-gods possess. Normally children of gods would inherit the same or a similar ability as their parents. However, there are some anomalies. Some gods possess more than one ability from both parents or the entire family; some are primarily based on the elemental with which the person is most compatible."
"dark fusion?"
Hearing Alex's Question, a burst of raving-like laughter ranged in his head. Vigerřamous excitedly replied, "My boy, your ability dark fusion is one that is perfect out of all the abilities out there. Dark fusion gives you access to three different elements as long as it has a shred of darkness. These elements can evolve and grow, unlike basic elements. The only thing that limits you is what you know. You might even unlock skills related to your ability that I never had because you are a Demi-god." Star informed him.
"Why is my class assassin?"
"Don't worry about that. A class isn't chosen; it is something you are naturally gifted at or trained in. Your class will change once you reach a certain level. No one will see what class you have or the ability dark fusion since your concealed skill will block prying eyes."
Without anyone to compare his stats to, Alex felt a little perplexed.
"Wait; you will be able to see other people's stats with the skill inspection. It will be rare for you to meet other Demi-gods in these low worlds since a god would rarely allow their child out of their sight before the age of 21 or before they can protect themselves. Stay down; the guards think you are near death's door; best to keep it that way. For demi at level 1, you're not so bad." Star commented.
Alex agreed and inwardly thought, 'Skill.'

This does not mean that you will become invisible. When using this skill, no one will know when you are a solid entity or in ghost mode.

After reading the skill tab, Alex felt satisfied. The skills suited his personality well.
On the other hand, Star was quite shocked, 'what the hell is going on?'
'why would Alex have so many skills?' Star thought.
Deep in thought, Star couldn't help but reminisce about when his cursed bloodline awakened, showing him the dark system.
At that time, he only had two system skills, Inspect and perception. Even up to now, he only had two system skills; granted, both of his skills were maxed level. Looking at the ghost fade skill, Vigerřamous was in disbelief. If he had that, who would be able to touch him? He would never have ended up in his current condition!
Even though Vigerřamous mind was in turmoil, he was happy for Alex. The system skills alone guarantee Alex's safety.
"Alex, you must remember that the Dark system is only a training mechanism. when using the system skills, don't just use them; learn how they work in theory. Although they are system skills, they could become part of your innate skill with enough practice and understanding. But it would be best if you focused on understanding them. Think of it like training wheels on a bike. Once you understand how to ride your bike, you don't need the training wheels. No one must know that you have this system." Star informed Alex seriously so that he would not make the same mistakes he made.
Hearing how Star was urging him, Alex noted that he would do his best to make those skills part of his innate skills.
'Store,' Alex inwardly requested.

Ghost blades- the unfinished blades of Cronus made from the remnants of the ghost dragon.
Sin points: 10,000 side effects: 0.001% chance of paralysis.
Paired with the system assistance, The Blades have the ability to fade like a ghost at the owner's control. Adds (+20) points to STR, AGI, and Stamina. The blades can steal mana from the host opponent to replenish the host. The blades are straight, 2 inches wide, 3ft long, and dark black with a faint trace of orange at the edges. The handles are jet black, wrapped in soft black cloth/rope.

The amour can protect the owner while in a rift, blinking, or transporting in a void. Adds (+20) points to hp and Stamina. The armor can disguise itself, blending into the owner's clothing, and is made from a combination of dark void crystal and void dragon scale. The amour can withstand void turbulence.
