The Woods

(Williams Woods)

The newly admitted student was sure a weird one, the wolf in me was very restless whenever he set his gaze upon me. I tried spurring his emotions so I could sense them, that was one of the special abilities of a Werewolf, I guess that makes me one. The moment I stepped into the class and sighted him, I brought up the topic about the origin of the town. Right from the moment he began his explanation, his face was calm. His emotions were not even disarrayed as I hinted at him that I doubted his existence as a mortal. His answer was not wrong for it really confirmed my suspicion, he was not a human. No human knew about the origin of Bitter End Town. He modified the truth, it was not a beast that started the massacre, it was some unknown Vampires.

I would never have had the thought of being a lecturer within this very high school, if not for the command of my Alpha. He assigned me to this place to monitor his mate, a female mundane. I still do not know why he intends to protect her. My wolf hated the command but as his Beta, I had no choice. An Alpha planning on taking a human as his mate, it was nothing but a weird occurrence so that means she is probably a special mundane.

I exited the school after the whole sessions were put to an end. Seated in my car was I as I listened to an old song, sighted many curvy ladies as I drove around the town. I had always known that my wolf was a perverted and lustful one. Perhaps, it's because I've not found my mate. 'Williams, you haven't found our mate. This is an opportunity before she is found.' My wolf whined me, urging me to stop the car and have a go at any curvy stranger. Might have given in but the urge to report the existence of an unknown variable to my Alpha prevented me. Finally resisting it, I managed to drive my car past the gates of the beautiful mansion I grew up in, along with my Alpha.

Got out of the stinky car and took huge strides towards the mansion, the bulky black suited guys all gave nods as I walked past them. Finally getting into his chamber, I smiled and half knelt with my balled fist on my chest. 'Arise, Williams. What brings you here?' Came the husky voice of the bare chested man, he had a shoulder length red hair and the aura that leaked out of him was that of violence. I've known Alpha Syrel since we were kids, when his father was still in control, he always loved to battle.

Regaining my standing posture and gazing at him, I sighted a curvy lady standing behind his chair. Since I had known her, she never smiled. That was Anastasia, the protector of the Alpha. She gave a nod, giving me the respect I deserve as the Beta of the Woods Pack. 'A Supernatural is in town, not sure if he's a Wolf of another Pack or a stray Vampire. All I can say about him is that he is a dangerous man. He's a student at the high school, not really sure of what his motive is.' I ignored her, not wanting my wolf to disturb my mentality.

'I've cleared all packs off this town and I've clearly made it known to the Vampires that I want none of them to step a foot in my territory. You should assign some wolves to monitor him. How is my Luna? Is she doing well?' Right after dealing with the existence of the unknown variable, he questioned.

I really wanted to tell him that his mate to be was stealing glances at the sexy Morningstar but knowing the fool, I'd rather not. Breaking out of my thinking mode, I gave a reply. 'She's doing okay, Syrel. Buddy, I'm so tired. Get your bodyguard to get me a drink.' I replied cheerily, not keeping up with the respect facade. I was perhaps the only wolf that could behave in such manner in the whole of the Pack.

Everyone knew Syrel to be a brutal man but I knew he had a soft heart. He beamed as I sat on a chair not far from his, his hand was waved and very soon the cold looking Ana brought a cup of wine. 'I need to know what's so special about that human. We do know it's a taboo to have a human as a mate, what is your aim?' Sipping the wine from the goblet and savoring the taste, I also did not hesitate to question him.

'Williams, I'm much aware of your curiosity to know more about her. I can't say much but all I can say is that she is my chosen Luna, it was my fortune to encounter her at a food store. My heart raced speedily, my wolf howled within me and the howl was that of concern. At that moment, I really felt like grabbing her and bringing her to my Pack. No one needed to tell me my wolf had chosen the human. I also do not know why but as much as I want her, I want her to fulfill her dream before even thinking of having her. Perhaps, she's human and perhaps she's not. All I want is her safety.' Syrel sighed as he spoke, closing his eyelids, lost in his thoughts.

'Williams, I'll assign Anastasia to monitor our guest. Tell me what he is called. If I've heard of him, he might as well be dangerous.' Syrel questioned, still lost in his thoughts.

'Morien Morningstar, his surname is that of the devil. His family must have been a weird one to still think of adopting such a name. Mad fellas that sunk into the pit of hell.' Syrel chuckled as I joked about the name but Ana's face still remained the same. What a sadist she was.

'Haven't heard of him, he might either be a rogue Wolf or a stray Vampire. What if he's a Witch?' Syrel spoke inaudibly but I could still hear him. The Super hearing ability was really a great asset.
