Kevin stared him down, the air thick with tension. "I'm the one who's giving you a chance, Vulkanus. One last chance. Take the deal, or face the consequences."

One would look at Kevin's change of attitude as strange and too edgy. But the things Kevin went through before arriving on his home planet made him think and think a lot. He didn't immediately jump in to help Ben and Gwen when they were under attack by the Highbreed lord, as he felt he owed Ben nothing. Although he may have had feelings for Gwen, he didn't see a reason to rejoin the Tennysons.

When he was eleven he was swapping alien tech like an expert and even conned some who were old in the business. Life was simple then. But now things were different. He couldn't even hold his own on planet Sylvie and was still at the mercy of Sophia who tried not to harm her sister's only chance of restoring her throne and revenge. From the special dimension in the null void to planet Sylvie, he wasn't totally in control.

In his younger days, he had little to fear and could protect himself in most situations or be street-smart if the situation called for it. But in the special dimension, he was in Khan's den but didn't know it. The only reason he was alive was because he was useful and Khan could bear his shenanigans. If Khan wished, he could have ended Kevin's story from the beginning.

That's not all, even Fate had toyed with him, making him think he was stronger than her only to find out that she was someone with the ability to keep up with Khan. His dashing looks apparently kept his head on his shoulders. He wondered how such monsters had been quiet, he wondered why they even let themselves be caught but he got his answer when Fate and Khan dueled.

Sophia on the other hand, had plans to use Kevin as a battery source for the planet and other planets that her sister brought under her rule only to be taken in as energy for Sylvie to conquer her usurper.

All this was one of the major reasons he created Raven while he wielded divine power. Kevin vowed to himself never to be in that situation again even though he had knowledge of beings that defy reality he still wanted to get to a level of strength where he could even escape those beings and come back for a rematch.

With that in mind, Kevin sought to own the information network on earth so nothing took him by surprise. He could have asked Raven to do that and it could have been done in less than a day, but Kevin didn't want to limit something he divined to a level two planet, hence, why he sent Raven off-world for missions that would benefit both of them.

His encounters and decisions made after he arrived on earth changed his being entirely. He could not afford to be helpless again, never!

After steeling himself in his newfound resolve his gaze fell upon Vulkanus and his aura weighed down on the latter causing him to lower his head in the negotiation. Vulkanus couldn't believe what he was feeling, he doubted it was because of the scrawny kid he once knew in the past who scammed him that was making him feel this way. A complex being in a level two planet? Of course not! What is he still doing here if that were the case? Thoughts ran through Vulkanus's mind as he contemplated his next move.

Vulkanus hesitated, as the weight of Kevin's words sank in. The room was silent, the only sound the faint hum of machinery. He realized he had underestimated Kevin. This was no longer the naive boy he once knew. This was someone who had been through trials and emerged stronger, sharper, and far more dangerous.

"Fine," Vulkanus finally said, his voice strained. "We have a deal."

Kevin nodded, the tension easing slightly. "Good choice. Now, let's talk specifics."

The negotiations began, the atmosphere still charged but no longer hostile. Kevin outlined his terms clearly and firmly, leaving no room for ambiguity. Vulkanus, for his part, listened intently, realizing that this deal could potentially benefit him greatly.

By the end of the discussion, both parties had come to a mutually beneficial agreement. Kevin would supply Vulkanus with the bio-engineered crystals in exchange for the plumber badge and the information he needed. The terms were set, and the deal was struck.

As Kevin left the warehouse, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had not only secured the badge but also managed to establish a new source of income. The encounter with Vulkanus had been intense, but it had also proven his growth and newfound prowess.

Vulkanus watched Kevin leave, a mixture of awe and fear in his eyes. He had underestimated the boy, but he wouldn't make that mistake again. Kevin was no longer just a thorn in his side; he was a force to be reckoned with.

Ben and Gwen had already infiltrated the warehouse just as Vulkanus was about to end his conversation with Kevin. Ben, already in Big Chill transformation dematerialized himself to his surroundings while Gwen hid behind a crate.

Kevin already noticed them coming from the entrance and knew they were in the warehouse so he ended the deal and Vulkanus handed him the badge/holoviewer which Kevin made float into one of his pockets on his Jacket.

Kevin turned to leave but Vulkanus had other plans.

"You don't fool me with this fake personality of yours, get him!" Vulkanus ordered his pickaxe alien.

"…At the same time, I am not stupid enough to leave anything to chance!" Vulkanus said as his left hand beckoned to one of his pickaxe aliens beside him who gave Vulkanus a look of worry which was met with Vulkanus raging eyes. Nothing was said between the both of them but the pickaxe alien ran away quickly with one other and returned with a large heavy alien rifle that Vulkanus lifted from the both of them with ease.

It was Ben's cue to swoop in and save Kevin but what he saw shocked him.

Fun fact: Did you know that DiamondHeads crystals aren't as valuable as Taydenite, the rarest crystal in the universe in the Man of Action Multiverse?

But here, Kevin modifies Diamondhead crystals to have the same properties as Taydenite, that there is only a thirty per cent error which was done on purpose to make it the next valuable thing after Taydenite.
