43 Pain, that shit hurts

"Alright everyone, get to your seats," Aizawa drawled out as he, Six, and Veronica walked into class 1-A. However, not one was out of their seats before he spoke.

"Today, we'll be introducing your new classmate after the disaster that was Mineta," Six said as he stood next to Aizawa.

.

Veronica wisely didn't say what she wanted to about the purple pervert.

.

"Anyway," Aizawa said, getting back on track, "Yesterday, your new classmate was chosen and moved according to their potential. Please show them your best possible behavior and treat them well."

"Please enter," Veronica, who was by the door, called out. "1-A, please meet your new classmate, Hitoshi Shinso."

.

The door opened to reveal a young, male teen. Hitoshi is a relatively tall young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head and notably straight teeth. His eyes are purple with white pupils and are thin and somewhat triangular, pointing downward, with no visible eyelashes. They were half-closed, and he had dark eye bags underneath them.

Class 1-A was slightly unnerved by his shabby appearance, but that all went away after Mina shouted for joy and began to ask questions about Shinso, then followed by them treating him like an old friend. Then it was Shinso's turn to be unnerved. He was expecting to be ridiculed and ignored; he was not expecting this. After a few questions were answered by Shinso, Six called for attention and the class went quiet.

Nodding his head, Six ordered them to go suit up and meet them at Gym Gamma. He told them it was time for 'Conditioning'. That made them pale, except for Shinso. Veronica, who had walked over and stood next to Six, swatted his head. Saying that he was getting too much fun out of tormenting the students.

...

..

.

"Alright! You get an easy day today!" Six shouted at the top of his lungs, scaring a few students, "You know the drill, start with warm-ups and get to move through the course. Eight laps, now move!"

"Not you Shinso," Aizawa called as Shinso went to go off on his own. "You're too thin and gangly for their usual routine. For now, work on getting muscle built up and your stamina."

"For now, you'll just run around the course," Veronica spoke up as she walked to Shinso. "Until you get to an acceptable level where you can join in with the rest of the class, I'll be watching over your training."

"I don't want special treatment," Shinso stated with a slight edge to his voice causing Veronica to sigh.

"Save it till after you see their usual training regiment," Six told Shinso, "Until then, do as you're told." Six said with an undertone of a threat. One that Shinso understood on an instinctual level.

.

Shinso just nodded and went to start stretching before realizing that the rest of the class was doing their best to limber up but were keeping an ear on what was being said. After a lengthy stretch, the class lined up before starting as one. Shinso listened and ran the outside of the track. After the eight laps were done, Shinso was out of breath and his side was cramping. The rest of Class 1-A stood, slightly winded from the eight laps. Shinso couldn't believe that so far was an easy day.

.

"Good, now, 100 pushups!" Six shouted and the entirety of class 1-A dropped to the ground and started to do pushups.

"Shinso, just do as many as you can," Veronica coached Shinso.

.

Shinso did his best but could only get twenty out before his arms failed him. The rest of the class did pushups in sync with one another. There was hardly any deviation between each student. After the pushups came situps, then lunges, followed by sidesteps. The more time that went on, the more Shinso was convinced that class 1-A was made of monsters. Not a single student was winded from all the exercises they did.

But what really made Shinso think that, was when Six called several names up at random and started to spar against them with a solid metal pole. Six swatted, batted, and stabbed at them and sent them tumbling; and they just came back for more. Shinso was sure that more than a few of them had bruised bones and ribs, and yet they still stood up. After ten long minutes of fighting, Six called off the fight and called up several more names. All the while, not a single student used their quirks to fight.

.

" 'Conditioning, Strengthening, and Balance.'," Aizawa spoke up, scaring Shinso. "This is how he teaches his classes," He explained once he was sure Shinso was listening, "Conditioning, is the conditioning of the body to withstand any hardship that is thrown its way. Strengthening, it strengthening their quirks to their limit and beyond to have them reach their peak. Finally, Balance. It's the conditioning and strengthening of both Body and quirk to make sure that both are in harmony; if one is better than the other, then the body breaks down before it even reaches its limit or vice versa."

"So, he's actually a good teacher?" Shinso asked.

"No, he's still rough around the edges," Veronica said as she came over after checking on the first batch of students who fought. "But, he's getting there. Slowly but surely."

.

They watched as the rest of the students went, got beaten, and then returned. Once all the students were done, they were given a minute of reprieve before they were ordered to stand up and start running the track. Shinso, who had gotten a longer break, didn't participate in the sparring but still ran around with the rest of the students.

When the class was almost at an end, Six had the class, including Shinso, stand in a line.

.

"You all did good," He stated, "For an easy day that is," Shinso nearly lost it as he was struggling to stand up. "For now, you're dismissed." Six said as the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day.

.

As Six walked away, Shinso dropped to his ass and lay down, doing his best to catch his breath and for his body to stop hurting. As he was panting and lying there, the social birds of class 1-A gathered around him while the rest of them went off and did their own training.

.

"Man, we got to thank you," Kaminari told Shinso, "We never get an easy day like this. Especially when it's Conditioning."

"You call this easy?" Shinso breathed out.

"Yeah!" Mina cheered. "Not one of us had more than a bruise this time around."

"True, Six-sensei did treat us easier thanks to you," Momo answered. "Normally, were would have ended with about an hour before dinner."

"And that's on a normal easy day," Izuku stated which threw Shinso for a loop.

"And, and when it's a hard day?" Shinso asked, somewhat curious and scared.

"We get the tubes and we sleep where we fall." Kirishima shuttered.

"The tubes?" A confused Shinso asked.

"He... he calls them [Nutri-paste] tubes," Izuku explained. "It's a full meal from a tube in paste form, with only a slight problem, they're terrible."

"How bad are we talking about?" Shinso asked.

"Dog food tastes far better than the tubes!" The entire class chorused.

...

..

.

"I can't go on," Shinso breathed as he lay on the ground panting. He'd just finished sparing with Veronica and got his ass handed to him on a silver platter. "How can you be so monstrous?!"

"Simple, you're far too weak," Six told him as he walked over to the two of them. "Veronica here went easy on you since you lack physical endurance."

"Six, go easy on him," Veronica admonished him, "He just started, he's not gonna be the best only after a few days."

.

Shinso just looked at the two who were arguing about his lousy stamina and couldn't help but feel annoyed. But he let it play out, that way he got more rest while Six and Veronica argued. After all, Shinso wasn't stupid or daft in any way.

After a good five minutes, Six and Veronica stopped arguing and looked at Shinso who was still lying on the ground. Both just nodded their heads when they figured out that Shino used this time to rest before getting into the next set. Once Shinso was rested, Six had him up and running the track, again.

.

"He's smart, I'll give him that," Veronica spoke once he was out of earshot. "He didn't interrupt us when we were insulting his stamina. Allowing him to rest more."

"He's okay, but he still needs work," Six sighed, "If I was in his place, I would have made the argument even longer. More rest that way."

"Not everyone is like you, Six," Veronica said as they watched Shinso stumble and then keep running.

"I know, they're are better off," Six said with slight eire. "They basically have a silver spoon in their mouths instead of us who have rusted metal."

"Wouldn't Yaoyorozu have a golden spoon?" Veronica chuckled.

.

Six just sighed at her lame joke.

...

..

.

Six looked at the plans he had for the next three days and sighed before throwing them into the trash. Grumbling to himself, he slammed his head onto the desk.

.

"What, did Nezu give you grief about your plans again?" Yagi asked, semi-concerned with Six's physical health.

"No, it's about how poorly 1-A did against that upperclassman of theirs," Six sighed into his desk.

"Ah, young Mirio," Yagi spoke, "I understand. Though it was to be expected as he's the best in the school and could contend with top heroes. Even then, they lasted far longer than I thought they would."

"They didn't even last five minutes," Six stated with contempt.

"Don't be like that," Yagi sighed, "They managed to put up a good fight against young Mirio."

.

Just then, someone knocked on the door before entering. Once the door opened, it revealed Momo and Ida with a stack of papers each. Six beckoned them over to him and took the papers from them.

.

"Is this everyone's work studies paperwork?" Six asked them.

"Not everyone's," Ida stated and explained. "Hitoshi Shinso's paperwork will not be there. As he was not here for the paperwork to be handed out." Ida said.

"That's fine, please inform him that Aizawa will be taking him under his wing during the work studies," Six asked them, to which they nodded. "You may leave." Six dismissed them.

"Well, then, let's see who picked who," Yagi said as he took half of the stack. "So far, they all have picked good heroes."

"For your half maybe," Six commented, "Bakugo picked a hero just because they were in the top ten."

"Well, it's his choice," Yagi sighed and continued to go through the paperwork.

"Who the hell is Sir Nighteye?" Six asked suddenly, which made Yagi stop.

"My old sidekick," Yagi told Six, "Why? Who chose him?"

"Midoryia," Six said, "And he's asking for you to introduce him, or at least give him a recommendation."

"I suppose I could," Yagi said, deep in thought.

.

Six just sighed and continued to work on the paperwork. Covertly slipping a few sheets onto Yagi's stack without him noticing.

As the day wound to a close, Six felt his instincts acting up again.

.

'Great, now what will I be dragged into?' Six thought as he got ready for bed. 'I just hope that I can blow off some steam on some people that deserve it.'
