Terror Infinity: Monster

"Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?" It all started with this unassuming message. Most people would ignore it, clicking ‘No’ by instinct more than careful consideration. But for those unfortunate enough to click on ‘Yes’, a whole new world unfolds before them. Several, if they are talented. All so they may experience… Terror Infinity.

As it turned out, sleeping did help me with my conundrum.

I realized I had been looking at things a little too extremely. I had been hesitating between spending all my Points on either option, but I realized it was wrong entirely.

Instead of directly spending all my Points today, I should go at it slower. Instead of buying 500 plus days at once, I should instead only exchange for a few days to start off with.

Like that, I will not only be able to get a better idea of what level of strength I would need for the items I was aiming for, and I would also be able to buy an enhancement if I really needed to, while still training. If anything, this would actually give me time to think.

After I had gotten my rest, I did some research on Skyrim, to make sure my knowledge of it was fresh, although the Super Soldier Physique gave me a nearly eidetic memory, better be safe than sorry. Only when I was sure of my course of action did I put on new clothes, and head out.

As I got out of my house however, I was surprised to find Sarah next to God, sitting down, and watching me.

Walking up to her, she immediately greeted, "Hey!"

I nodded, humming in greeting as I looked at her up and down. Reopening the Genetic Constraint had pushed me closer to the Force, and buying the High Force Sensitivity had helped tremendously too.

Yet, standing in front of her, I could not feel any change in her aura, or rather the Force around her. Were D Rank enhancements too weak for me to sense, or had she exchanged for a weapon instead of an enhancement?

She got to her feet, and said, "I would like to ask something out of you."

"Ask away then."

She looked a little hesitant as she revealed, "I did not exchange for anything yet, because I would like to train with you, and buy an enhancement in consequence."

I crossed my arms, showing surprise as I asked, "Why? Whether I accept or not, what tells you I have anything to teach you?"

She shook her head at that, "I don't necessarily want you to train me personally, or teach me what you have. Instead, I would like to know how to reach your level."

This, in turn, did intrigue me, as I asked, "Are you sure you want to become like me? Didn't you see what happened in Helgen?"

This, was the most important question. As I told them yesterday, strength had little to do about my judgment of them. Instead, their spirit is what I would value.

Sarah stood a little straighter as she replied, "I do not consider your path to be the only one. But if it is, then I would rather strode on it than die."

This made me smile. I sent a glance at God, and said, "Well, I guess you came at the right time. I'm about to head back to Skyrim, do you want to come?"

Her eyes widened a little as a faint smirk she tried to hide spread her lips thin, "Yes, please!"

I snorted and walked to God.

"God, can we enter Skyrim as multiple people?"

[Yes.]

I nodded, but did not immediately head in. Instead, I skimmed through the Exchange System, while asking Sarah, "Do you have any direction you want to head in?"

Sarah did not even take a moment to think as she replied, "Healing."

I chuckled at that, I expected that already. She was a doctor, so it was only fitting.

"Have you ever played Skyrim?"

"No."

Finally finding what I had been searching for, I said, "Skyrim has two systems of magic. Shouts, and more traditional magic. Shouts are tedious to learn unless you are the Dragonborn, and that is worth a Rank BB Reward and 8000 Points, as well as the bloodline from one of the Races of Nirn.

"However, anyone within Skyrim has access to the more traditional magic, and it can go pretty far."

Sarah immediately asked, "Didn't… Anthony say magic was trash in Skyrim?"

I shook my head, replying, "Skyrim is but a game, in the end. The reality we headed to is much closer to what lore Skyrim is, and in lore, magic is powerful. You saw what Ulfric did with a Shout, and General Tullius managed to protect himself from that while caught unprepared, and he isn't an incredible mage."

"Do you want me to learn Skyrim magic then?"

I shrugged, replying, "It's your own choice, in the end. But before you make your choice, there are six schools of magic: Destruction, Alteration, Conjuration, Illusion, Enchantment and Restoration. That last one is Healing magic."

She looked thoughtful as she muttered, "That would give me means to defend myself, along with healing magic… does it take long to learn spells?"

"No idea about that, but even if it does, I spotted the skills within the Exchange System, so you can buy the skills from there if you really need one. And that would be the advantage of getting Skyrim Magic. Since we already have that world available, you won't have to spend any Points on equipment, and if you are good enough, training skills might cost you less than buying them."

She turned silent for a moment, and I could almost see the cogs turn inside her brain. I liked the fact she hadn't immediately agreed, although I would like for her to do so.

Her decision to go for Healing also pleased me. While having multiple strong fighters certainly would make for a rather powerful team, it would also be very restrictive, and there might be scenarios in which we would be stuck.

But more importantly, other fighters would need to do the mission I aimed for, and that would result in a split in our resources, something I did not really want to see.

After a moment, Sarah raised her head, her face resolute as she said, "Alright, what do I do?"

I smiled and said, "To do magic, you need Magicka, and as far as I know, to get it, you need to buy one of the bloodlines from that world. There are ten races, each with their own advantages. They each cost 1000 Points and a Rank D Reward."

I then proceeded to tell her about all the races, as well as their Racial Skills, which were similar to those in game.

With the path she wanted to follow, I expected her to select the Altmer Bloodline, or High Elf, which gave a bonus of 50% in Magicka, as well as the Highborn Racial Skill, which allowed one to regenerate 25% of one's total Magicka per second.

It was honestly quite the good trade, especially for a magician, and all these Races had good potential for different paths. Was it not for the fact they did not offer any immediate Stats upon purchase, they would certainly be in the C Rank.

But Sarah did not choose the Race I expected her to.

"God, purchase the Breton Bloodline."

She didn't have to say that out loud, but she probably wanted me to know what she had picked.

And Bretons were fine for a Mage Class. At least, they were strong against other mages, as they had an innate resistance towards spells of 25%, and their Racial Skill, Dragonskin, allowed them to absorb a further 50% of any incoming Spell for one minute.

This not only allowed them to receive only a quarter of the magical damage for one minute, but also recover their own Magicka while taking damage.

I was curious as to why she had picked it.

When she was done with her purchase and her transformation, which didn't take long, I asked her why she picked an anti-mage race, and she replied with a smile, "Because you will be there to stop their warriors."

I… I don't know what to say.

At first I made the Dragonborn enhancement a B Rank, then an A Rank one, because I felt Dragon Shouts in Lore had much more potential. After all, the Nord Heroes who sent Alduin forward in time showed humans could make up Dragon Shouts, while Miraak broke the three word restriction. Besides, Elder Scrolls fans like to use scaling to make the Dragonborn High-dimensional in power so I guess this is better as a BB Rank.

Don't hesitate to share your thoughts on this.
