Alan knew that Ye Ziyun couldn't find details regarding the secret deal between the Snow Wind Family and the Alchemy Association without any assistance. And without having Yang Xin or someone from the Alchemy Association tells her, it certainly seemed impossible to say to her about this.

However, it was very much possible.

The first step was to inform Ye Ziyun that there was such a deal between the Alchemy Association and the Snow Wind Family. Alan's motive was to have Ye Ziyun on the lookout.

Just as this situation occurred, Alan felt it was time to grab his last piece. Huyan Lanruo.

Huyan Lanruo tried her best to resist talking to Alan since the day he scolded her in front of Xiao Ning'er. He saw her nearby in the Holy Orchid Institute even though the Genius Class and the Apprentice Class were on separate floors.

Huyan Lanruo tried to act as if she hadn't noticed that Alan was nearby and made it seem as though she was coincidentally at that place, whether it was the classroom, the cafeteria, the library, or the ground.

Alan had noticed her long ago but didn't call her earlier. He wanted her to build up her desire. The results would be much more outstanding after making her wait.

Alan waited for some time before all the students started heading back to their homes.

Alan was spending his time with Xiao Ning'er. At the gate, Alan spoke, "You will need to return home alone today as I have something to do today."

"What is it?" Xiao Ning'er instinctively asked.

Alan whispered in her ears with a playful smile, "… It's a secret."

Xiao Ning'er understood that Alan wouldn't tell her anymore about it, so she didn't pry any further.

"Alright. But if you need my help, don't be hesitant to ask. I will help you in any way I can, Yue," Xiao Ning'er spoke resolutely.

"I know," Alan quickly kissed her cheek.

He then asked Xiao Ning'er playfully, "What if it's an affair?"

Xiao Ning'er was startled by this question. She was actually nervous and stammered before speaking, "J-just don't leave me. I will accept her. I will definitely not fight her."

Her hesitation clearly stated just how much she didn't like this situation, but she still said that she would accept another woman.

Alan knew that this might be because a man having concubines was somewhat typical for the Noble Families, but it still showed Xiao Ning'er's deep love for him.

"…You have my word that I will only love you in this world, Ning'er," Alan spoke sincerely before the two shared a romantic kiss.

The words that Alan had spoken earlier were indeed the truth. He didn't truly love any of the other women, no matter how beautiful they were.

The one whose character and personality truly charmed him was Xiao Ning'er. Even Ye Ziyun hadn't accomplished that.

However, it was impossible to let off Ye Ziyun since Nie Li was infatuated with her.

Meanwhile, Shen Xiu and Yang Xin were merely tools to accomplish his objectives. He certainly didn't love them.

And Huyan Lanruo would be added to the list of his tools.

The one thing these tools did have in common was their mature and desirable figures.

However, he hadn't done anything sexual with any of them because Shen Xiu and Yang Xin didn't love him. Shen Xiu was his aunt, and he was sure that she wouldn't fall in love with him unless something very shocking occurred.

Meanwhile, Yang Xin certainly didn't see Alan like that. Instead, she thought of him as a demon. Until those feelings faded and she saw the benefits of working under Alan, she would never have romantic feelings for him.

Huyan Lanruo was different, though. She had fallen in love with Alan's appearance initially. And Alan's indifference to her mature body startled her, and she began that attempt to conquer him.

Unfortunately, her attempts had failed. And in the last effort, she was willing to cross the line to be with Alan. Yet, she failed again as Alan left the room secretly.

Her desire to conquer Alan was burning brighter than ever. She was planning to try one last time to achieve her objective.

"If you are free, can you come with me? I was hoping to have a private discussion with you, Lanruo."

After speaking these words, Alan brought Huyan Lanruo away.

Huyan Lanruo did try to act as though she was busy, but she accepted his request and walked together with him.

They entered the Butterfly Inn. This was the same inn as earlier. Huyan Lanruo signaled the Inn Master, and the guy assigned them a room for an entire day including the night at a discounted rate. He mentioned it was because of a sale.

Alan naturally agreed to the deal and the two were soon inside the room.

After entering the room, Huyan Lanruo sat on the bed while Alan sat on the only chair in the room. He faced Huyan Lanruo while lifting his leg and settling it on his other leg.

Huyan Lanruo sensed a strange aura from Alan. She could never guess what he was thinking, but it was even more so today.

"I wanted another favor from you, Lanruo," Alan spoke with a pleading tone, but the smile on his face remained intact.

Huyan Lanruo had more or less expected it that he wanted a favor from her. She asked while trying to sound cool, "…What is it?"

"Inform your father and other elders that the Alchemy Association and the Snow Wind Family have struck a secret deal."

"What is that secret deal?" Huyan Lanruo asked question with a puzzled expression.

Alan responded, "The Alchemy Association is supplying pellets and elixirs of high quality and quantity to the Snow Wind Family."

"…If he doesn't believe you, ask him to request for the Alchemy Association's finances. As an upright association of the Glory City, the Alchemy Association is compelled to display its financial report if requested by someone. Everything will be clear once he views those records."

"…B-But my father is a very good friend of the City Lord, Ye Zong. If my father has a doubt regarding that deal, he will just ask the City Lord."

"That is why you must inform him of this news in front of other elders," Alan spoke with a smirk.

Huyan Lanruo finally understood what Alan was aiming at. If other elders were aware of this news, Huyan Lanruo's father would be forced to seek the Alchemy Association's financial report in case Ye Zong chose to conceal the truth from him.

It meant that Huyan Lanruo's father couldn't cover up for Ye Zong.
