[ Saint Ancestral Mountain Range - Devil's Forest ]

The Devil's Forest is located just west of Glory City , a northwestern part of the Saint Ancestral Mountain Range .The forest covers an area of about 300 square kilometers. Its southern border begins on a ridge which runs east-west. It does not contain the steep southern slope of the hill, which rises from the Black Eye River.To the north, the forest ends on a smoother slope, which meets the White Eye River.

If one ever looked at the forest from the sky , they would see that the forest is situated between a Yin and Yang Symbol made by the Black Eye River and White Eye River .

The Yin and Yang Symbol was made by the Heaven and Earth as a barrier to keep those that were corrupted by the World of Madness or the World of Chaos or the World of Ashura .

The eastern end of the forest is bordered by an artificial valley that was made by the people of the Sacred Empire which divides the hill from north to south. The west end of the forest reaches the northeastern slope of the nearby the valley which extends further westward. The Bongar valley runs along the south end of this side, which contains a downy oak grove unique to the southern steppe. Part of the northeastern end of the forest is bordered by Long Valley , which passes through limestone caves and forms a valley with asymmetric slopes. A small natural lake is located upstream at the border of the forest. There are several springs with potable water at the north edge of the forest .

The Devil's Forest was once the home for the Black Lotus Clan during the Ancient Era , an era millions of years from the current one , an extremely powerful yet mysterious family that had been formed from slaves , orphans and bandits . No one actually knows how the family was formed or when it was formed but one thing was for certain , the black lotus clan was .... off . The children didn't show any kind of vigour , joy or any emotions in general . The adults were more or less insane and this insanity had lead them to offending many great and powerful families who had attacked them and discovered a horrifying truth .

The Black Lotus Clan had been trying to form a portal to another world . Immediately many of the most powerful families sent out their most members . These Spiritual Gods were able to stop those lunatics but a single Ashura was able to cross over ..... this had caused a massacre .

The Single Ashura was able to slaughter the majority of the Spiritual Gods and was only killed due to the intervention of the Heavens itself .

The survivors of this massacre would pass on a message to the future generations .

" Stay away from the Devil's Forest "

Along with this , an inscription array barrier was set up that had eroded completely by the time of the Sacred Empire .

On the border of the Devil's Forest , Space bent and twisted into portals from which members of the War God's Army emerged and flew towards a broken tower in the center of the Devil's Forest .

Up in the sky , Xiao Ning'er sensed the emotions of hatred , anger and greed coming from deep within the broken tower.

" Zhu Long ! " Beside Xiao Ning'er , Yu Yan raised an eyebrow as she sensed the presence of her mortal enemy but something was different , his aura had changed .

[ Saint Ancestral Mountain Range - Heavenly Fate Plateau ]

In a place where the sun's rays are the most concentrated, Lin Lingtian stopped before a huge stone. Thereafter, he laid an array down using a few million Purple Caltrop Rocks and carved mysterious inscription patterns on the array. He sat on top of the the stone and began his Cultivation . As a practitioner of the Law of Nothingness , he knew he had to expand his inner world to get more and more powerful . Currently his inner world was like a nebula of dust and he had planned to expand it further .

Lin Lingtian gazed at Xiao Ning'er and Yu Yan from this distance as the members of his army began to reek havoc . He knew he should be in battle right now but the opportunity to actually form a star inside his inner world had presented itself on a silver platter when he saw the Purple Caltrop Rock .

Taking out an orb , Lin Lingtian smiled at the millions of powerful souls residing in it . The Elder Tree Lich had stored these souls after his awakening had wiped them out .

The blazing sun shined on the Purple Caltrop Rocks and was emitting a bright radiance; thereafter, strands of purple smoke slowly rose up and gathered together above the array, enveloping Lin Lingtian . The purple smoke became thicker and thicker and his figured was gradually blurred.

Lin Lingtian inhaled a deep breath and the purple smoke was suddenly emptied from the area as it was breathed in by Lin Lingtian into his abdomen.

The Heavenly Fate Plateau is located on top of the mountain. Although the temperature is rather low, it's exposed to sunlight three-fourths of the time every day. This is also the reason why Lin Lingtian can have a large amount of time to train.

This purple smoke does contain toxin.

Lin Lingtian could feel that a countless amount of soul force was constantly piercing his soul realm, causing the veins on his body to pop out. This kind of feeling of being continuously pierced by needles is very painful to a normal person but the pain he had experienced in those trials were on another level .

Lin Lingtian continued refining the smoke as a tab formed infront of him.

Lin Lingtian crushed the soul orb in his hands as all the souls tried to run away but it was all for nothing as he began to absorb all of thses souls into his inner world like a black hole sucking in light.

Lin Lingtian opened his eyes as he saw the millions of souls struggling in the dust cloud nebula .

With a mere thought , Lin Lingtian trapped every soul in chains as he clapped his hands together .

The Soul Force of Purple Smoke Soul Strengthening entered into the most dense region.

" Chaos Dao Scripture : Desolation "

Millions of Souls roared out in fury and pain as they felt their souls began to convert into pure energy and get absorbed into the dense core of the knot inside the nebula .

Lin Lingtian channeled soul force in ways that looked like he was commanding an orchestra to play the symphony of the heavens .

A Heavenly Light enveloped the entire Heavenly Fate Plateau as if a second sun had been born .

The Clouds began to shift as Lin Lingtian drew the Lævateinn in it's sword form around .

He wanted to see what the bare minimum of his strength now was with a star being born inside his inner world would be .

Lin Lingtian suppressed his power to the most lowest degree and then he swung his sword .

The entire sky and northern region of the Heavenly Fate Plateau was engulfed by a golden arc as the shockwave from the arc had cut the entire sky in two .
