Chapter no.73 Demon Beast Horde

The roars of hundreds of thousands of demon beasts could be hundred throughout the Tiny World as all the Legend ranks hidden within the spirit continent charged at full speed towards the Heavenly Fate Plateau as fate twisted the rules of plausibility to influence the minds of all of these Legend ranks .

All the most powerful Cultivators in Glory City stood over the walls of Glory City as all of them had already sensed the presence of Legend Ranks approaching Glory City at high speed .

On the side , a 5 star Black Gold rank Nie Li clenched his hands as his mind recalled the beast horde that destroyed Glory City . Glancing to the side as Nie Li say his brothers in everything but blood , nervous for the powerful demon beasts approaching Glory City .

Nie Li began to think of any contingency plans if they fail to protect Glory City as the presences of the demon beasts approaching Glory City were not something they could defend against .

Nie Li was broken out of his thoughts by a roar as his gaze shifted to the battlefield as a Lone crimson howler ran through the battlefield towards the walls of Glory City .

All the Cultivators of Glory City gritted their teeth as they say the lone crimson howler a 5 star Legend rank with unparalleled speed .

Ye Zong had Ye Shu activate the Ten Thousand Demonic Array to trap the Lone crimson howler with Space and Time Attributed Demon Beast .

Something that completely caught everyone off guard happened as the lone crimson howler easily broke through the space and time cage by just simply running as if the space and time cage had been broken down by some outer force .

Ye Ziyun roared to release the red oil over the walls as he got ready to confront the demon beast in combat .

The red oil didn't pose even the slight annoyance to the demon beast as it continued to run with a path of least obstacles seemed to clear infront of the demon beast . It was as if the heavens itself wanted to destroy Glory City but mid way through the demon beasts running , an individual intercepted it .

The lone crimson howler looked at the bug that had intercepted it's path .

Floating infront of the crimson howler was Yang Xin in her celestial butterfly form . Even though she was just a 4 star Black Gold rank , her aura had shifted to that of a 3 star Legend rank due to her demon beast .

Suddenly before Yang Xin could react , an aura of such proportions locked onto her and everyone on the walls as everyone's body froze in fear .

Yang Xin , Ye Ziyun , Nie Li and every other patriarch froze as they felt the presences .

Gazing from the walls of Glory City , the people of Glory City could see the entire battlefield coloured in black as hundreds of thousands of Demon beasts were running at them . That was not the fear inducing part rather that all of these demon beasts exuded the aura of a 5 star Legend ranks .

Never in their wildest imaginations could they think off this . It felt like the heavens were playing a prank on them . Glory City was confronting a demon horde only made of peak Legend ranks .

Many people standing over the walls of Glory City dropped their weapons in disbelief as they felt an indescribable despair fill their hearts . Even the patriarchs that are supposed to remain strong felt fear and despair from the bottom of their hearts .

This fate induced fear and despair had allowed the lone crimson howler to escape through Yang Xin and charge towards the inner city of Glory City .

Yang Xin believed the two legend ranks that Lin Lingtian left her with , would kill the lone crimson howler but to her and everyone's surprise the crimson howler didn't kill anyone rather it charged towards the other side of Glory City and then went towards a certain direction .

Like everyone else Nie Li was dumbfounded as he saw the legend rank leave Glory City without harming anyone .

Demon beasts filled the sky as the shear amount of them had actually blocked most of the sunlight and the people of Glory City could only look on as the wave of Demon beast charged through Glory City without harming anyone it was as if they were not worthy of attention to the Legend rank Demon beast or rather Glory City was situated in the path they were taking .

Many buildings got destroyed in the charge of Demon beasts but the protectors of Glory City couldn't do anything in such a situation as the combined aura of tens of hundreds of thousands of peak Legend ranks was not something they could withstand .

Nie Li stood in the walls as he heard the wails of people dying in Glory City not because the demon beast were targeting them but rather they were just in the path of the legend ranks . If those demon beasts wanted to they could erase Glory City off the map as easily as snapping one's fingers .

But the more important question was why or rather where were so many peak Legend rank demon beasts heading towards ?

" Just , what is going on in this world ? " Nie Li asked to himself as he had to sit down . Ever since he came back , everything happening around him was different from his memories .

The demon beast horde couldn't help but stop as they sensed space bend into a cage around them.

Standing infront of the peak Legend ranks was the temporal Qilin " Tempest " in his humanoid form .

Exuding the aura of a Demi God rank , Tempest channeled the Law of Space and Time granted to him by his master .

Standing beside Tempest , was the humanoid entity " Izabel " channeling the Law of Metal through his claws .

In the sky , the dragon entity " Bezalel " channeled the Law of Nether through his mouth , a purple aura erupted from it's mouth .

The ground erupted with the Law of Wood, Law of Earth and Law of Ice as the Blood Alligator , Snow Queen and Elder Tree Lich attacked .

Along with the Bezalel in the sky , the Abyssal Draconic Winged Falcon , the wind beast , White Ash Griffin, Wither bird and Abyssal Golden Narwhal released their respective law attacks .

The entire battlefield was lit up by the power of Laws as the demon beasts in the front lines instantly fell to the might of 15 Demi God rank Demon beasts .

( Author Note : For those of you wondering why the demon beast horde didn't destroy Glory City is because they were more focused on killing Lin Lingtian influenced by Fate itself and Glory City was like a bug at the side of a road in a runners pathway and it's highly unlikely that the runner would stop , to go and kill that bug . Plus since Nie Li is the MC of TDG and like any Xianxia protagonist he is loved by Fate so Fate influenced the demons not to destroy Glory City .)
