Chapter 22

We all looked at each other, it seemed we all had thing going on in our minds.

"Since Emily planned the meeting, I think she should talk first".

"Alright"

"Well I called this meeting because of two reasons".

"First of, we need to drop out of school, we don't really need the education and it's obvious our life is going to be filled with so much danger so it's best not to get innocent student's at school involved".

"That sounds like a good idea, Austin are you cool with it?"

"Well, it's really not that easy for me, I'll have to convince my pare"

"You've got to stop living with your parents Austin, the seal on you is broke, the energy which your releasing is going to attract unwanted attention which is going to endanger your family".

"Your right Emily, I'll have to convince them to let me go, what was the second reason for the meeting?"

"Well, we need to map out a plan, we can't just sit and wait for whatever to happen to just happen right?"

"I'll take it from here. Actually before coming here, I was dealing with some vampires who were going after Austin"

"What?, When did this happen?"

"Yesterday, while you were going home, they followed you home".

"Wow, seems like I really have to move. And you know this how?"

Raphael shot Austin an embarrassed look and said "I got someone to follow you home".

"Just to ensure you got home safely" he hurriedly asked and raised his hands up in defence.

"So what happened to the vampires, are they dead?"

"Well no, I wanted to get information about who sent them but they are in a soul contract not to reveal anything about their boss".

"The moment they feel they are betraying their boss, they loose their lives".

"Oh, I can help with that". Emily said and the look on Raphael and Austin's faces showed they were quite surprised.

"How?"

"Well, I know of a spell that can put their consciousness to sleep and we can talk to them sub-consciously. That way, we can get answers and because their consciousness is asleep, the contract won't kill them".

"That's a great idea, let's head to my home, that's where they are".

"Oh! And Austin, your free to live with me once your ready to leave your parents home".

"Thanks Austin".

With that, the three friends drank up their coffe and went into Raphael's car.

Raphael sped all the way to his house because he didn't want to delay anymore for he feared the vampires might have gone completely mad due to hunger.

After they got into the house, Emily told them that she would be needing some salt, five white candles and a red one.

Luckily, Raphael had all these stuff and after getting them, he gave them to Emily.

Raphael led them down the staircase to the basement.

Due to the stink of blood, Austin and Emily covered their noses.

Raphael led them to a door and opened.

Emily and Austin stepped in and Raphael went in after them.

"Alright Emily, it's time for you to do your stuff".

Emily used the salt to make a protective circle for she, Austin and Raphael to stand in.

After which, she places the five white candles in a pentagramed shape way and then she went into the circle.

Emily asked for their true names which Raphael had no idea what it was.

"Hey, tell me your true names and I'll let you have some blood".

Filled with hunger, when given the hope of food, the vampires quickly yielded.

For the hunger they felt was like they had not eaten for a thousand years.

"Mine is Ragnarok"

"And mine is zandor"

"Alright, after this, you can have some blood".

The vampires hung their head low in anger and sadness but they could do nothing more after all, they weren't too powerful not were they even high in rank.

Austin went closer to Raphael and asked

"What are true names and how do they differ from the names you answer?"

"I'll explain it to you later. Now let's let Emily focus".

Having known their true names, Emily began chanting and soon the candle all lit up on their own.

Emily's was floating in the air with her eyes closed.

Sparks could be seen in the air, trying to hit them but there was a protective barrier preventinh this from happening.

This sparks were as a result of Emily's spell putting the vampires consciousness to sleep.

Their consciousness were fighting back, refusing to be subdued but once Emily said their true names, the sparks suddenly stopped and seemed like tamed beast's.

Once Emily was done with the spell, the look on the vampires eyes were blank.

"Now, we can begin".
